It’s Christmas Time

It’s Christmas Time

Sheraton Hotel

We went here to visit/guide my dad’s friends when they visited not so long ago. They had a very festive display like the Christmas tree above.

Robinson’s Place Manila

They also went to a nearby mall to buy souvenirs to bring back home. There was also a very nice display going on there and we took some pictures with it.

They also had/have something going on outside the hotel which is very nice. Festive. Christmas is kind of different nowadays don’t you think? We’ve been talking about it at work and yeah, everything is different now, for sure. I liked the old times better so to speak. My lolo and I would go to my ninongs and ask for AGUINALDO. Bless my lolo. I wouldn’t know right away if they’re home or like hiding somewhere. LOL. Thank you for always accompanying me when I was younger. Now people would just PM/send messages to their godparents. Where’s the thrill? I remember being so happy receiving new bank notes from my ninongs! MALUTONG PA! Now, mamamasko nalang namemresyo pa! Wow ha! Not from personal experience though. Just saw it on Facebook. Bless my inaanaks!

We went to Clover Leaf Mall to watch The Mall the Merrier. The movie was actually very easy to watch. I like it. Nothing too heavy and yeah, I guess it’s either I like it very easy and like, very heavy. Anyways, watching movie has been a tradition to the family ever since. We don’t really celebrate Christmas/Eve anymore since my grandmother died. I mean, we used to but that kind of stopped. We just eat during Christmas Eve and on Christmas day, we just attend a mass and watch a movie afterwards. Not much of a celebration anymore I guess. It’s kind of sad though since I really miss that mini celebration we used to have. Like, relatives coming over and stuff. Carolers! We used to have a lot of them starting end of November up until January but now, I’ve only seen a couple. But oh well. My dad just passed and maybe that’s why it’s more depressing and stuff but it’ll pass. We’ll be back soon.

Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope you have a good one.

It's Christmas Soon

November 06, 2013 2
It's Christmas Soon

And nope this post got nothing to do with Christmas. It's just random ramblings of some sort. Oh before anything elss, HELLO guys! I just thought I would make a little disclaimer there. But anyways. I realize I never really stick to a certain topic regardless.

It's already November and I can't help but really admire the speed of time. Imagine! I have been working for almost 2 months now. It seems like forever already. LOL just kidding. Ugh anyways. I'm almost through with my experience seeking thing here in the Philippines. And so far I'm actually enjoying it and as I've told you before, it's just nice being able to apply all the things I learned in school or internship in to life. Well not to mention it's also dangerous since I'm already putting my name to all the things I've done and will be doing in the future. The way I would like to address it is this. Even doctors make mistakes. Now I'm really kidding. No room for mistakes really. But doctors make mistakes LOL.

But seriously! I think it's all happening too fast. I guess I have to enjoy the little things and just be happy and live the moment yeah? One Direction much or not? Because about this next time next year, I might regret things and I'm kind of certain that I won't be doing the same thing as I am doing now so yeah that speaks a lot. I might as well live in this time and just enjoy life pretty much. Just a little bit more wouldn't hurt I guess?

I am quite happy though that I am able to buy things I want. But sometimes I would hesitate and think twice if I really need something. Sometimes it's just that I would think to myself, "this is not what I worked hard for" or something. I don't usually buy expensive stuff back then when I was still a student but do you know what I mean? I don't just usually like to reward myself back then because I don't think I've worked hard enough as others. Comparing myself to others 101. But now that I am working, I think I have to somehow reward myself once in a while. Because you know, this time, it's just me. I do get things done and yeah. Just to have something to look forward to at least twice a month. I always feel tired though but I guess that's always a part of it. I hate. Just saying.

By the way I will be stealing pictures from a colleague when she puts it up so you would know what it's like at work. Not that you want to know what's up. Anyways is this like a work post? Nah! LOL.

Merry Christmas!

December 25, 2012 1
Merry Christmas!
This is sort of what I did and yeah it's not a lot but I'm just glad that I get this day as my off day because you know! It's just so perfect. Like, I'm off because it's Tuesday and it's like no classes and you probably know by now that TUESDAY is UNI DAY and since there's no UNI, there's nothing for me. Plus! I guess I'm just so lucky that there's no duty as well.

Went to church with mom, sisters, grand mom, and cousin! :)

Then we went to that place by the bay which apparently have all these attractions for kids and all that. I actually don't know whether or not this is a Christmas thing or if it's there forever but whatever.

Hotdog on stick with MUSTARD! Love love love.

It was nice looking at it. Like, it was so calming and everything.

Sister with her corn.

Saw this The Hobbit thing. I haven't seen it yet and when I finally have the time to, it's not showing anymore. I don't know if it's temporary because cinemas usually make way for local films this time of the year. I really really want to watch it. Oh well.

We watched Sisterakas. Which I would be reviewing later. I guess.

Paskuhan Tips 101.

December 20, 2012 1
Paskuhan Tips 101.

I can't believe that it's like tomorrow already. I don't know know what its gonna be about but most likely Christmas, yeah? Hahaha but I know for sure that it's gonna be fun. Like, a whole lot of fun. For sure.

But it can't always be magical and wonderful because you know. Things happen. Here are some tips/DOs/DON'Ts and just about whatever I could think of for this moment to be wonderful.

If you're a Thomasian, you probably know what to expect. So these guides are probably for Freshmen/Outsiders.

1. Bring your I.D.

- Like, seriously. It'll be like a FastPass to Disney Land or something. Because those who don't have someone to bring them inside the university or probably can't contact their Thomasian friend would like queue and actually block the gate so if you don't bring your Thomasian I.D., that's gonna be your luck. More or less.

2. Bring something to sit on.

- Old newspapers, blankets, mats, whatever. It's gonna be your sanctuary for the whole night so yeah.

3. Don't expect to be able to use your phone to send texts or to be able to call.

- Nope. Unless you're lucky.

4. Please do not litter.

- Like, please understand that we (Thomasians) somehow actually paid for the event to happen and it's so mean of you guys to actually throw your rubbish anywhere you want. Isa bang malaking park ang UST? Hindi. Thanks.

5. Don't bring your car. Just carpool.

- So that we can avoid traffic. :))

December!

December!

Can't help but sing Back To December by Taylow Swift. Oh well. December already. Like, seriously? One more month and it's 2013. Wow.

I just hope everyone's good and ready to cherish the last month of the year as
much I do. Also, I'm pretty excited for this month because as far as I'm concern, we got a lot to do. Thesis, stuff. You know. My hopes are really that everything will work fine and all that.

Goodnight December. Hello December ang peg ko bukas. Hihi

Anticipate it!

Anticipate it!
It's like less than a month to go before Christmas. But I can't feel it yet. Maybe because I'm too busy with a lot of stuff and all that. But maybe anticipating it would actually make it a little more festive. Like, I know it's kind of twisted but whatever. I mean, people are saying that they can't feel that it's almost Christmas already. Maybe because of the weather, and other stuff. But if we would watch it coming, then our feelings will probably accumulate and probably explode when it's already there. Am I making sense? LOL. It's okay.

One thing I have to share too is that we didn't even turn our Christmas Lights on. Usually, we open it like, second week of November? Anong petsa na no? Haha. And yeah, that's my shadow. Some years ago. Not some creepy whatever creature. LOL.

I love to look at our house with all the lights and stuff. Like, it's just very nice. We don't usually change themes and stuff but we kind of change some designs and just add more to them.

It's also kind of obvious that it's Christmas already because there are at least two of my internmates who have been robbed and snatched and all that. Christmas shouldn't be that scary. But it is here. Like, I get too scared just walking outside the hospital (hot spot for hold uppers). SCARY.

Speaking of the weather, can I just say that this weather is actually hotter than I remember? Like, seriously? Can the weather cooperate a little bit? Like, it's always hot as eff.

Where are you? Like, seriously. No cold breeze, Christmas lights, stuff! Our neighbors actually have some signs of Christmas already. Anyways.

I should probably go to UST though and see whether they are already turning it on at night. Because the last time I checked, they already placed Christmas Lights there. It's always nice to see the Christmas Lights on and just call it a day. Oh well. That's all!

A Look Back. UST Paskuhans.

November 25, 2012 1
A Look Back. UST Paskuhans.
As much as I'm concern, I actually haven't missed a single Paskuhan. Meaning my miscellaneous fee didn't go to nothing. If you're a Thomasian, you get what I mean, yeah? Okay not really bitter or anything about it. AT ALL. I'm just saying. And if you're not a Thomasian, you don't have the right to say anything about it. Maybe you're bitter.

Okay moving on...I won't really go into details because I probably forgot what happened already. I mean, it's been years. Literally.

The first Paskuhan I went to was not that bad, not that good either, like, maybe it's because I went out super early but the fireworks display cooperated and showed almost at the beginning of the program. Nice.

The first Paskuhan that I finished everything would probably be this one. Or did I finish this? Yeah, I think so. It's the Paskuhan that actually celebrated UST's 400 YEARS. This time, I went with my cousin.

The girl with fringe is actually a second degree friend that I met that time.

I noticed how bigger my group of friends get. I'm proud of myself. LOL.

Saw my seatmate along the way and decided to take a picture. Awesome.

In less than a month, it's Paskuhan once again. And luckily, I will be able to go because you know, right timing is right timing. I feel sorry for the group who wouldn't be able to come though. That's all! :)
