Venice Grand Canal Mall

February 07, 2018 0
Venice Grand Canal Mall

Hype. You know, they say you have to do everything once to know if it’s for you. It was okay but I don’t think it’s for me. Okay that was a little bit harsh. True though. It was beautiful and all but yeah. I just guess it was kind of chaotic.

With my sister who skipped classes that day (always). Funny because when I was studying, I wouldn’t be able to do stuff like this.

It would have been nicer if it were less crowded. Char! So as you may have guessed already, it’s basically like the Venice Canal in Italy. You know they say that one day, it wouldn’t exist anymore, right? I guess that’s how they portrayed it in the Philippines. It’s so shallow. Also, malinaw ba ang canal sa Venice?

Sister’s OOTD.

Also, why do people like to put locks where it shouldn’t be? I wonder how many of these lock owners aren’t together anymore. Hahaha bitter.

So basically what we did is walk so we were really very hungry. We were supposed to have Korean but I was also like, CHICKEN. And then at the end, I was like, SEAFOOD, please. Soooo delicious. This was actually meant to be for 3-4 persons but we finished it all! Because food is life.

The night view was more beautiful. The gondola and all! We didn’t ride the gondola though because it was crowded. Also, I find it expensive because you only get to ride for a short time. And DISNEY SEA IS LIFE. I don’t think it’s somewhere I want to go to again. I would go if it were nearer but since it’s almost 600 pesos Uber ride away, I would only consider going when it’s on the way. That’s all! Ciao!

Old Manila and Sunsets

Old Manila and Sunsets

Intramuros. It’s odd when you think about why I went here but wait until your browse my old blog and see where I went. Actually planning to revisit them all though so that’s what’s up!

It’s actually where we go to Church. It’s just that my family don’t really take interest in exploring the city.

FORT SANTIAGO

So calm. The first time I went here was when I was in college and it’s just for our Rizal course.

Rizal Museum

Favorite Rizal book.

I had fun in the museum. I just wish the temperature inside is a little cooler because I swear I was sweating and I’m the type of person who doesn’t really sweat easily so that’s saying something. I mean, Rizal’s life is pretty interesting so I kinda wanted to revisit his journey but it was so hot that day and I just couldn’t. The museum is free though so I know I can’t really complain but I’m just saying.

meeting with my people

On our way out, we rode the tricycle thing and it was very nice of the driver to actually gave us a little tour. Didn’t understand half of it. Kuya driver should have spoken thru a microphone/megaphone.

love!

sunset

Manila Bay Sunset

Seriously nothing like Manila Sunset. I mean, I haven’t seen anything like it. Oh actually the one in Bataan was nice too but you know what I’m saying?

After the whole touristy thing that we did, we met up with the bestfriend. Nothing like ending the day with some scrumptious Filipino food.

And yes, the titas enjoyed Jazz.

That’s all!

Enchanted Kingdom 2018

 Enchanted Kingdom 2018

Old tradition that I made up 2 years ago. I wish this could go on for generations though because living alone really makes me want to value family.

We went to Sta.Rosa Laguna this time because we all know I’m a sucker for amusement parks and why not, right?

The last time I went to Enchanted Kingdom was in 2011. The entrance fee for this park went very high from last time and I can’t say I’m very convinced.

Anchor’s Away

Space Shuttle

Can I just say though that this ride got really better. The seats and all felt more secured. Also, I don’t know if it’s just me but the overall thrill factor increased. I think. Favorite ride.

We were so lucky because the park was not busy at all! I guess the longest we waited to get seated was only around 45 minutes. We were done with all the rides at around 7.

bumaba ‘ko sa jeepney.

This ride had us all good. My bestfriend Nissan had it the worst though. And she was wearing a pink toned colored shirt that made it all obvious.

Their newest attraction is Agila. It’s very expensive too! The entrance fee for this ride alone is 500 pesos! Like, what the heck? The show itself was okay. They have the same theater in Fuji-Q Highland and I think that was a little better. Here me now! My bestfriend and I were thinking what to expect and we were like, smokey mountain, payatas, pollution, etc. But it was okay. They showed the beauty of the islands. It was not very educational though. They should have educated the many unruly children and adults who were there with us. Seriously, if I’m gonna watch something as serene as the superficial version of the Philippines, I WANT PEACE, PEOPLE.

I give this ride a 2.5 star out of 5.

What I like about Enchanted Kingdom is that it’s kind of vintage looking. And it was like how I remember it from the first time I went when I was 6. Sure many aspects have changed and they may have changed things here and there but it’s generally the same.

This ride is a killer. You’ve been warned.

I love their addition of theater shows! They should have more of this in a properly installed theater place. They have plastic chairs there which is all good but it’s kind of inconvenient too (kind of). I can only imagine it takes time aligning them before show starts. Do they do that? Also, I think the actors deserve a proper place. Come on!

Oh Christmas Lights light up the streets

These kids grow up too fast.

ADIOS

Can I just say that my sisters and I were so dead the next day. We threw up as if we were poisoned. It’s just us 3 so maybe it’s from something we ate from the previous day. Not a pleasant experience. Ciao!

UST Paskuhan 2017 | King of Kings

UST Paskuhan 2017 | King of Kings

Paskuhan 2017, btches! Can I just point out to everyone that I think I’m getting a little bit old for this sht but anyways. Also, red face. Deal with it. The rampa must go on!

Claim It!

But you know, the PUDRA wants the sister to go to La Salle instead of UST which I don’t have anything against but ya know! I guess I’d be happier if she goes to UST too. I’m just saying.

Imbued with Unending Grace

Thomasian

Illumination is real! I’m not sure if my standards got higher from all the illuminations I’ve been going to but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen UST lights better before. Actually I’m not sure. Hear me. If you’re currently studying in UST and let’s say you’re from class. You’ll definitely see this lights differently for sure. I hear you!

Yas!

We actually arrived 7-ish because of this imbyerna Tricycle Driver. Anyways, when we arrived, Silent Sanctuary was already playing so I was like, what is this sorcery? Good job, UST though for being able to keep up with the schedule. I’ve heard what happened to Grace Note last year so yeah. Fireworks time!!!

It actually rained!! I was like, not today Rain. Not today.

yas!

While we’re at it, can I just mention that UST Paskuhan’s theme this year is Game of Thrones which I don’t know anything about but it’s all good!

Also, during the Firework’s Display, the rain kinda stopped so that’s nice.

UST Fireworks, as always, never fail to amaze me.

Main Building

This reminds me of Roppongi’s Illumination theme this year. Blue and amber.

Altar

Even though I was there for only 4 hours, I actually enjoyed UST Paskuhan 2017. Callalily was great! That’s all!
