Memory Corner | Flashback Friday 5

Hi guys! This is Flashback Friday # 5 A.K.A "I LOVE MYSELF" LOL.

1. This is me with an ice cream cart. Not real of course. When my cousin and I went to Manila Ocean Park, we saw this at the second floor of the establishment and what else would we do? Take pictures of course! I love how Filipino themed the displays are. There's also a jeepney and some other stuff there. Will share that soon! Anyways, this cart is very popular in the Philippines. Like, someone would just push the cart anytime of the day and ring the bell and like inform you that there's a cart outside and stuff. Much like an ice cream truck but way too simpler. Actually, for some reason, they call it "dirty ice cream" I hope they're not dirty though. I think they're not dirty. As to why it's call dirty ice cream, I have no idea. Usual flavors are Queso, Ube, and Chocolate.

2. This. LOL. When we went to Starbucks, my cousin asked my bestie and I to make her a fan sign and I was like, I'm not your fan. Hahaha. Anyways, she wrote her name and I asked her to take a picture of me barely holding the tissue as if disgusted by her name. But I love my cousin and I would always be her fan but then again I just thought that making a fan sign is a little bit unnecessary. My bestie actually have a proper fan sign picture but yeah. Whatever.

3. This is during our Caleruega Retreat and a friend took the photo. I think I was drafting a blog while listening to music and yeah. I miss that place so much! It's just perfect. Before the board exam, I think I need a retreat or something.

4. New Year 2011. Dad never failed to make us this. It's a simple Japanese Tradition and yeah. Nice. Oh MOCHI TOO.

Laserlight!

Laserlight!

So this is actually the last part of our Manila Ocean Park trip and it was a good wrap up of the show I must say. I haven't watched anything like this before yet so it was quite a show.

In the above picture, they kind of splashed water continuously so they could use that as their screen for some flashing stuff.

And when they don't flash the things on that water splash thingy, they do it on their hotel's windows. Kind of.

The chef who tried to capture the shrimp and the octopus by running around with his utensil. He kind of had a big knife for the octopus but I wasn't able to capture that moment.

And then most of time, it's like this with some music. I can't actually remember the music or whatever so maybe they played melodies of some sort to carry on with the fountain show. :)

Manila Ocean Park. Revisited!

Manila Ocean Park. Revisited!
I mentioned here that I will be revisiting Manila Ocean Park! Not with my family but my cousin (still family) LOL. So I've decided to kind of have an overview, and then kind of have a different post for the fishes and jellies.

Okay let's go na.

So I totally didn't notice this before. Or maybe it is because it was so crowded before. Since it's a Wednesday when we went, there weren't too much people around. Just perfect.

We first visited the Marine Habitat which is like, a pool and a back stage where they feed the mammal, I suppose? And probably where they train them as well.

The pool is not that big either so I kind of feel bad for the sea lions. Because you know, if you come to think about it, the sea lions shouldn't feel as if they're far from home so I was thinking that they shouldn't be placed in such a small place. And then we also watched the Sea Lion Show.

I was kind of surprised because they kind of have the same place for all their shows. So we were like, looking for the show's place because before the Sea Lion Show, they were showing the bird show and so I though that there would be a place for everything but yeah. Share share din.

It was actually fun. I enjoyed it. I kind of want to comment though that it was too hot when we went and I think that the place should be covered or something because we can't really go near because the heat of the sun was like, we can't even.

The place was dark and as far as I'm concern, we're not supposed to do take pictures with flash but the camera that we used there didn't really have flash but it has some sort of light of its own so yeah. I hope we didn't offend any of the jellyfishes. The place was beautiful. It was a quiet place and the music was nice. Although I probably would recommend a playlist or some genius stuff from iTunes because they only play one song from Yiruma I believe. So there's that.

And then to the Oceanarium. It was actually the only place we visited before in my A Look Back post so yeah it's the only place I revisited. Haha great. They actually have several sections inside. Like, there's a section for lake water fishes, and other creatures.

Amsorry for the flash. I was surprised by the flash as well. Haha that face.

I mentioned in my previous post that I will have a separate post for them fishes and jellies. ( I used to have it in a different post but less is more!)

So there's that.

The last picture looks icky but it doesn't matter.

I would say the last frame's Jellies my favourite jellies. With their polka dots and all that.

I think that's basically the same spot. Just different cameras used.

Can we just stop for a while and smile for this adorable creature? :) There you go. It was a little bit creepy to be honest.

I think the place was interesting although I also think that their aquariums are too small.

The middle frame's fish is just creepy.

Sharks!  Much scarier in films.

Or maybe they're not yet fully grown. Or malnourished.. That's all!

I enjoyed the show. My cousin was like, we look like a little kid enjoying the show. But you know, even though we're both 21, we're both kids at heart. We will always be! :)

And then one more picture before we go out of the building? That's all! Good vibes! :) I think the lights were cute.

Manila Ocean Park. A Look Back.

Manila Ocean Park. A Look Back.
I don't know when exactly but I remember going here not so long before it was opened. And it's not a good idea at all. I didn't appreciate anything during that time because there were so many people crowding and you can't really stop and look at things because you know, the people behind were complaining and all that. I don't know but I really didn't see its beauty before.

Little sisters! Lurve. LOL. Look at Mika with the travel guide thingy. Hahaha

I actually like visiting places like this. I mean, it's good to kind of have time to appreciate nature. See, even my sister was interested. I guess there should be a lot of place like this. It's a good way to preserve what is left of us. It's a good place to learn stuff.

When we went there, I think the only place conducive for photos was this place. Not even too conducive since people are kind of still everywhere.

But thanks to this that my sisters and I were able to relax after that exhausting walk. Say hello to my pink nails! Hahaha. Whut? This was what I enjoyed most about this trip. I will actually revisit the place and kind of rediscover what I already did before and kind of experience the new things they have to offer. :) Peace!
