Dining at Yabu

Dining at Yabu

Hi guys! I told you that after we watched the Hunger Games, we went straight to the other mall to have dinner and mom instructed us to go to Yabu. I haven't really tried eating here before this moment so yeah. I just thought I'd give you a review.

My sister Mari being busy.

You know what's good in this place? You can get pre-occupied for quite a while. Or maybe like while your food is not on the table yet. It's quite genius!

It is also the first thing that I have noticed when I arrived. You grind it with that woody pestle which is quite an easy activity but be weary! You might actually get a little competitive. Well basically, since we were not able to get tickets for the 3:00 pm screening, we kind if have miscalculated everything so the moment we arrived, they were already done eating dinner and it's just 3 sisters who will have to eat.

Mama, Lola. and I

The place was pretty crowded. And I wonder why. I mean...

I'm not so impressed with their Tonkatsu. In general though, I really have a thing for Japanese food here in the Philippines. Like, it doesn't taste right for me. I don't know. The pork is so tender though but the there's something missing. I can't pinpoint but it's not right. I actually think that it's just me at some point but whatever. Does anyone share the same opinion as I do?

I should have ordered this. Curry is love. I would've enjoyed my meal more had I ordered this. My sister Mari also got tonkatsu so yeah. The Kare is my sister Mika's order and she finished her meal so I'm guessing she really liked it.

They give free refills of tea, fruits, rice, and cabbage which is quite a good deal! I won't say the price range is expensive comparing it to some other places but it's a little bit expensive comparing it to other places as well. See? No sense? I didn't really enjoy my meal that much but I'm still thankful that it was able to fill me up! :) Cheers.

Hanayo Korean Restaurant. Review.

Hanayo Korean Restaurant. Review.
I actually didn't took any pictures so I actually stole one from the internet.

Located near UST. Rosario/Antonio St. Dapitan side. I am bad at locations so you might want to figure out yourself. It was my first time eating there so not much to share. No pictures even. Just make your imagination work.

I was craving so meaning I got to pay. Seldom decision of mine. Hahaha.

I, together with my cousin ate our early dinner in this place since we do not have any other choice because Santorini is closed. Said. I heard this place from a friend which is from AB so she’s a Dapitan veteran. Hahaha.

Anyway, since she’s not so familiar on what to order, I ordered and we just shared everything that there is. We are family. Hahaha.

I ordered Haemul Jeon (seafood and spring onion pancake) , Chamchi Kimbap (tuna rolls), Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and Tropical juice for us two. It was delicious! We also had Chocolate Fudge ice cream after. Yes!

445 pesos all in all. Not bad! Will probably go back and take pictures next time. :)

Hungry Tiger Restaurant, Japan. Review.

Hungry Tiger Restaurant, Japan. Review.
For like, the past few years that we visited and dined in this place, nothing actually changed that much and so instead of making this "A LOOK BACK" segment, I decided to make it a review.

That is me standing in front of Hungry Tiger restaurant in Yokohama like, 3 years ago? I'm not sure! I do recommend this restaurant for tourists and locals as well. I've been to different branches but that particular branch is kind of deserted. Well, not really. But you have to go pass a baseball stadium and then a very steep whatever road before you can actually reach that place. The price is quite reasonable for they serve excellent food and service I may say. Trip Advisor said that the price ranges from 1000-3000 yen but I say 1000-5000 yen or more. Overall, the place is good but it can really get noisy sometimes but I don’t really care. Hahaha. Have a steak-y visit everyone.

TIP: Do not go in this place the usual dinner/lunch time (Never ever) if you want to have a seat. They are pretty crowded on “rush hours”.

But there's always a waiting area/smoking area in which you can wait after signing your name to the waiting list. Well, there's not much to see though. It's next to a parking area and the view is mainly the highway, some trees, and some houses. And yup! The picture above (the one above this words, literally)  is kind of older than the rest.
