Roppongi Illumination 2017

Roppongi Illumination 2017

Roppongi. I went with my co-worker Shella to Roppongi brcause you know, it’s one of the places I don’t dare go alone. Kind of.

We were kind of lost at first but the thing about illumunation in Japan is that you can get lost and still find something beautiful to appreciate. This green and red tree for example. The transition.

Then this already transitioned tree which is equally as beautiful! But you know, it’s probably just me.

We actually targeted two illumination spots in Roppongi and this is the first one. They had this show of something I can’t fully understand but it was beautiful.

It’s like the one in Shiodome but less magical. I’m so sorry Roppongi. It’s probably just me.

It was still beautiful though.

Roppongi

Candle and Amber is the theme of Keyakizaka-Dori. I didn’t understand Candle because it’s just blue but they had Candle and Amber tree which makes a little sense.

My Blogger Friend

Tokyo Tower as usual was so beautiful.

Keyakizaka-Dori

Yas! Be careful when you go to this street. You have to actually stop in the middle of the street just to take this type of picture. Beware.

Tokyo Tower

I can’t decide which I like better. Two scenes are both beautiful though so whatevs.

Oh Tokyo!

So beautiful! Hopefully I’d be able to go back next year. Too bad I wouldn’t be able to see it when I come back. I guess this ends December 25 so you know, if you have a chance, grab it.

Tokyo Disneyland 2017

Tokyo Disneyland 2017

Tokyo Disneyland! It's been two years since I went here so it's really nice to be back. I mean, it's always nice to be back here I feel like. Yeah?

I went with my mom last time but this time, I went with my sisters.

A lot of things didn't go according to plan starting with the time we were supposed to leave our place going to Disneyland.

chillin' with the hommie

I think we were 2 hours late and because of that, we weren't able to maximize our fast pass limit. We were only able to get 1 FFS! It was around 12 when we got the fast pass for Thunder Mountain and it was already for 19:55. I can't. Also, we weren't able to ride Splash Mountain because the queue is just ridiculous! The Carousel, Space Mountain, It's a New World are closed so obvi, we couldn't ride which is a bummer given Disneyland only has few rides as it is so...yeah. Anyways, it's not all bad!

Cinderella's Castle

There was soooo many kids!!!! I'm not gonna be a hater though. You know how I feel about kids at theme parks.

I remember it's always around Easter when I went here as a child. Like, for reals! I only remember going here on Hollyween when I went with mom, the rest, Easter. I hope to be able to go winter though. Of course it would be Frozen themed because that's what it's been eversince that movie started. I'm not complaining though. I kinda like that movie.

Sisters

Mark Twain

Popsicles!

Waiting for the parade. I so regret not bringing a hat/something to sit on. So whilst waiting for the parade to start, we were like this holding Mika's jacket above our heads. No likey. I also burned my arms. I actually don't mind being soooo tan but the fact that it's uneven is freaking ugly. I would include picture but I have no space for ugly ones, I just don't.

Tink! I'm such a fan of this whole Tink thing.

To be honest, I've only seen one Pooh movie in my lifetime and I don't freaking remember the story. I should consider going to the Pooh ride first next.

so cute!

I actually thought we're meeting Cinderella and so I told my sisters and Mika got reaaally excited I can't even.

They have quite a lot of cute and princessy stuff though. This chair, the shoes, the everything.

Cinderella's Castle

Flowers in the Castle

So glad there was a lady that took this picture for us.

Fangirl moment! The ship has sailed ladies and gentlemen. I don't even know why I like Peter. I mean, in real life, I wouldn't like this guy because let's face it. He's a kid that doesn't want to grow up, has toddlers for followers, and he's stuck in a land where it's not allowed to grow up. But since it's Disney, it all works for me. PS: I wasn't able to ride Peter Pan's flight. Bummer.

yup this whole fairy thing works for me too!

Let's go back to the series of unfortunate events shall we? Mind you it was sooooo hot in the afternoon but it got really windy at night so they had to cancel the fireworks.

Sooo glad we watched the Once Upon a Time thing though. It was sooo precious. I'm glad we grew up watching Disney. I mean, it's just A Whole New World.

I'm so glad we were able to catch up at night. We rode Haunted Mansion and Pirates before going home.

Sanja Matsuri in Asakusa

June 07, 2017 0
Sanja Matsuri in Asakusa

I have mentioned before that there are places here in Japan that I probably wouldn't go to alone and Asakusa, I figured, is one of those places. Nothing personal.

I must admit though, going up Tokyo Sky Tree (alone) was on my non-existing bucketlist befofe. On that note, should I make one for real? Like, to make my life more legitimately interesting or something??

I have been here with my college friend Kim before. That time, I remember being on a hunt for my mama's bag that she bought so many years ago and we failed.

I wanted us to succeed this time but when we went, it was all chaotic like this.

I don't have TV at home nor knowledge what's going on here in Japan so things like this, I don't have an idea but we were warned beforehand that they might have something going on in there. Obviously we didn't expect it to be that big. We went anyways. Sanja Festival is apparently one of the three biggest festivals in Japan and millions of tourist go there just for that festival.

I'm not usually big on festivals like this. Well I'd probably still go for the food once in a while but you know, I guess growing up in a different country makes you clueless so...

Anyways, it was so crowded when we went and it was quite impossible to check the shops one by one so we decided to somehow go with the flow.

Sensoji Temple

We ended here. Somehow. Thankfully.

Again, one of the places I probably won't go to alone. I like places that are more serene. I think.

I also wasn't able to eat anything from the booths even though I'm already dead hungry because you know, we were heading for lunch (at 3:30pm) after we took the picture above.

One reason I'd see myself coming to Asakusa is the day I'd buy authentic Japanese goodies. I mean, stores after stores of souvenirs!! Also, the day I would go up the Sky Tree. And!!! Japan's oldest amusement park is in there! Somewhere.

Yas! Couple Goals.

This is where we had our late lunch.

You can't tell because I've always been fat but man, I was so full!!!

It was kind of pretty at night. We were tired though and we're starting early the next day so we went home early. Oh mom bought two bags similar to hers. It was quite a day of accomplishment.

I know we will see each other again, Asakusa. Until then!
