Weird/Bored

April 12, 2013 0
Weird/Bored
I took a nap awhile ago and I dreamt of something weird. Unless my dreams are weird, I wouldn't actually remember it so thank goodness my dreams are weird most of the time. If not always.

What happened was this. My sisters and I were watching an animated film. I don't know if it's TANGLED OR BRAVE but one of those. And then a group of young teens from the UK who were also watching and for some reason, making noise. Now, I'm not really sure how I knew they're from UK but I'm pretty sure with that. They're probably ONE DIRECTION. But that I'm not sure of. So then my sisters and I left the movie house because the noise was just something we can't handle anymore. We hopped in the car (white) and then I actually remember it very well that my youngest sister hopped in as well and so whatever, right? In the middle of the teip, I was discussing with my mom how I only have one month left to wander around JAPAN and so on. Okay so when we were near our destination (some tower), my youngest sister became a toddler and no one is even surprised. I believe I was a little surprised but that went off easily. Weird.

Okay so when we were about to check-in the place, the receptionists were questioning the toddler's identity and stuff and then we can't give them the information they want and stuff and then after a while, one of the receptionists left and when he came back, he said there's no need to ask because the real MARI (youngest sister) is coming already. And then my youngest sister was pointing and blaming my other sister for not believing in her and believed the toddle instead. My youngest sister was actually carrying a beverage box up the tower lobby and we all got a drink from that box in the end.

Whut?

I'm actually very proud that I'm good at identifying what's a dream and what's reality but lately, I don't know. First of all, I don't know what the heck was that dream all about but I was entertained. Can I just say that I really failed big time because first of all, WE DON'T HAVE A WHITE CAR ANYMORE. That didn't even alert me or whatever. And then this is like the worst because it was such a giveaway. THE TODDLER IS A BOY. Haha oh well.

It's April!

April 01, 2013 1
It's April!
I know that Graduation only happens once but this is actually my GRADUATION MONTH and I'm really really very happy that COLLEGE IS OVER for me. I survived college! Med school would be a totally different world and I don't know about that yet but while I'm not yet decided, I'm not gonna be so problematic about it.

The first batch of my dedication and stuff. I don't know why I blurred that because you're probably not interested anyways. Pero okay lang. I'm gonna give the privacy my friends deserve. :D So I totally just wrote this awhile ago but it didn't really require me a lot of effort because you know, when you're sincere about what you're writing, you just have to go with the flow of your feels. Much like blogging.

I'm all set for tomorrow's graduation and I am so excited. Oh my inner self is actually very much ready but who's gonna do my make-up? Our call time is actually at 6:00 am and who's gonna do my make-up that early? And because I don't want to do things abruptly, I decided to try on the look I want to pull-off tomorrow.

I would like to call this particular look "I Leave it ALL to you, Michelle Phan." or maybe "Michelle Phan, you Made it ALL Look so Easy" look. I don't want to actually overdo my make-up but I'm not sure I want to look neutral too. I mean, it's not happening everyday and it's not actually gonna happen anytime soon so I want tomorrow to be at least memorable. At least.

Oh and I also had my nails done and yeah, quite matchy-matchy with the dress that I would be wearing for tomorrow bur whatevs. So yeah, that's all I have to say for this one. I'm so excited for tomorrow. Hopefully everything would turn out fine because we hella didn't practice anything. So yeah, hope it's all good and hopefully you guys weren't fooled big time today and everything. That's all! :))

I Eye London.

March 19, 2013 0
I Eye London.

I had this dream about the London Eye. So I was walking somewhere in London (I assume) and then I saw the London Eye and came across the ticket booth and I was thinking twice whether or not I should buy ticket. For some reason, I declined. So I just carried on and continued walking but then I unintentionally came back to the same point where I saw the ticket booth and I was like, what the heck just happened? So at the end, I think I rode the London Eye and it's kind of odd because there's actually a rest room inside the London Eye capsule with a cubicle and then because I has to pee, I did and then the guy who sold me the ticket to go in, saw me peeing. Like, what?

If I were a Gyaru

March 18, 2013 2
If I were a Gyaru
The word Gyaru is actually the word GIRL or GAL pronounced in Japanese but it's actually the same thing. Most of the Japanese cannot actually pronounce L so that kind of explains it. I don't know why I did this but if you can still remember, I declared Sunday as my off day and I really spent my Sunday away from the computer so yeah. I found out that it's dangerous. I kid. So using some of the apps I have, I came up with this looks. DON'T YOU DARE LAUGH. Haha nah it's okay. I made this for our entertainment actually. Nah, only mine. Haha

But I kid you not when I say that it's kind of normal for Japanese kids to actually look like this. From where I'm from, not much but my best friend actually pull off this look so IDK. PROOF! (LAST PICTURE) But the other places I go to, like, Yokohama, Tokyo, and other big cities, most of the girls look like what they call "GYARUS".

The hair! I've always thought that big hair is better than paper thin straight hair. On me at least. The gyarus I usually see have big hairs, long nails, tons of make-up on, very long lashes, dark eyeliners, and wear pretty dresses. Just saying.

That's all I'm gonna share :D let's see what would I look like when I'm in Japan soon. Yay! Wala lang. If you're curious how real "gyaru" look like, here.

That's Tsubasa Masuwaka. Can't really beat that. Haha

Tokyo gyarus. I don't know if I want to look like this though. Not that I'm against this. It's probably too much for me. Tapos pala ganito na ako no? Haha

That's all! :)  Good vibes!

Hers and Mine.

March 15, 2013 0
Hers and Mine.
Like I said, I was catching up with movies and this time, I'm gonna review Bourne Identity. Well not really review though. Just gonna say something about it and what my opinions on it are and stuff like that. Actually, I watched When in Rome before Bourne but it was so kinda walang kwenta kaya 'wag nalang. Haha. This one is like an old film na. Released 2002 pa. Pero anyways.

So it is about Jason Bourne, an assassin who lost his memory. He was found floating by some fishermen sort of. The guy who was cutting his body sort of found out that he got shot and yeah good thing there's someone in the boat who knows how to remove it from his body and all that stuff. And then the interesting part was there was a tiny laser kind of bullet found in his hip and when the doctor/that someone flashed it on the wall, it revealed his bank number. Okay so fast forward.

The cops were everywhere looking for him and he don't know why. He still got the skills though. Fighting and all that self defense stuff. Then he had to go to Paris but riding a train's too dangerous and everything else so he followed the girl in the front of the line when he was in the US Embassy and kind of heard her problem that she's broke and all that. So he offered him 10 grand for a ride to Paris and that he'll give him another 10 when they get there. And then the girl kind of put herself in danger by actually doing that but even though Jason Bourne, the assassin I was talking about already instructed her to go to the police and say everything she knows to clear her name but she didn't. Oh well. And so she was then part of the target. Like, she went with him everywhere and then she was given a chance to go away with Jason Bourne's remaining money and even though she doesn't want to go, she did.

Jason Bourne then fixed things and when he was able to, he was able to find the girl and yeah. Happy ending.

Drama Overload.Food Trip.

February 28, 2013 0
Drama Overload.Food Trip.
So it was another long day for us. What happened was we actually just have to pay our Thesis statistician and asked her some questions related to our Thesis but since we still got time to kill, we killed it. It was actually because she was still talking to her other clients when we got there. KALOKA. Okay what happened was we were actually supposed to meet at Trinoma last Saturday but our mock defense pushed thru a later time so I had to cancel that meeting with the statistician. We actually settled that we will meet at Trinoma and so I thought we will meet there. I was on duty for 24 hours last Sunday and I thought I would have enough time to rest because she also said that we will meet at around 4 pm. What made me panic is when she said that she'll meet me at 2 pm. Which I didn't prepare for. I actually woke up at around 3 so whatever. She then texted that she thought our meeting wouldn't push thru and so she scheduled an appointment with her other clients. What? Also! She texted we would not meet at Trinoma anymore. She said she would meet me at Megamall. Dayum. I called my groupmate and told him about the change of plans but he said he don't know how to go there and so I went kind of alone. Not really alone because I went with my cousin. Okay kind of end of that thesis story.

She actually didn't tell me right away where to find her so I kind of craved for some Happy Lemon. And then we saw the place accidentally so what do we do? We went in and had some tea. And when she replied,

And then she texted and said she's at Coffee Bean and we had to find Coffee Bean as well because you know, Megamall is not a place where we usually hang out. It's kind of far from our place. So yeah we were able to find the place obviously and  then we were able to meet her and she was able to explain everything so I'm thankful for that.

And then we had dinner at BonChon which I enjoyed even though I told myself not to eat Chicken and Iced Tea for a while because I had a lot of that lately but life is really like that. There are some things you can't avoid. Haha what?

That's all. :) I'm just so happy that I was able to accomplish everything that I was assigned to accomplish and that I was able to spend quality time with ze cousin which I like. I really think I had more than enough tea that day but whatever. I like tea anyways.

Tagaytay Trip. Part 2.

January 06, 2013 0
Tagaytay Trip. Part 2.
Just to refresh you with what happened on our TAGAYTAY TRIP, you can click on that link to sort of refresh yourselves or whatnot. :))

Can I just say that the trip up is probably my favorite part of our trip here. If you don't know what this is, this is actually TAGAYTAY'S PEOPLE PARK IN THE SKY which is like, really up the sky, if you can't tell. The trycicle fare is actually supposed to be 60 pesos but because we're on a budget, which I will tell you like, after the whole thing, we were only charged 45 pesos. Like, 15 pesos each. Which is quite a deal.

And the orientation of the picture is not because we're bad photographers or what but because it's actually really like that in real life. It's kind of tilted or whatever you call it.

And to actually get up more, well the main thing (or is it?) is actually up above this whole inclined plane? What? Ah basta you have to walk up to actually get to the picnic thingy and to have a more beautiful view of the city. The thing is jeepney drivers are actually very rampant and would want you to ride their jeepneys for like a cost. Like, if I can remember it right, 40 bucks? Which we, by the way concluded defeats the purpose of going to this place. Because, there's actually not much to see except for the view up. And if you would just want to go to the highest area of the place, that's like, wag nalang.

And because there is like a very big pineapple plantation in the city, and there are sort of little ones too that are scattered just about everywhere, Tagaytay is also known as one of the producers of pineapples in the Philippines. It's quite obvious because at the top of the People's Palace in the Sky, there;s this like tilted pineapple something something. Which is heavily vandalized by the way and that's like super minus points.

And then we were lucky to have the courage to ask someone to actually take our picture. It's awesome just to have someone to capture the moment. It's kind of awkward though. And can I just say that this is kind of a failure shot? Because the shot below should have been captured as well but for some reason, maybe the lady thought that we dressed really well for the occasion so she kind of captured our outfits instead. But thanks! Really! :)

Breathtaking view from above!

And then it got really foggy. As you can see, we were able to find another person to take a picture of us three. Thank you! :) We were kind of shy because we all have a camera right? And then my cousin actually have her camera to the man first and then the man was like looking at my camera and said that he would take a picture in my camera as well. Grateful grateful!

And after a while, it became really really foggy and it rained. Not so fun. But it was. Hahaha

Merry Christmas!

December 25, 2012 0
Merry Christmas!
This is sort of what I did and yeah it's not a lot but I'm just glad that I get this day as my off day because you know! It's just so perfect. Like, I'm off because it's Tuesday and it's like no classes and you probably know by now that TUESDAY is UNI DAY and since there's no UNI, there's nothing for me. Plus! I guess I'm just so lucky that there's no duty as well.

Went to church with mom, sisters, grand mom, and cousin! :)

Then we went to that place by the bay which apparently have all these attractions for kids and all that. I actually don't know whether or not this is a Christmas thing or if it's there forever but whatever.

Hotdog on stick with MUSTARD! Love love love.

It was nice looking at it. Like, it was so calming and everything.

Sister with her corn.

Saw this The Hobbit thing. I haven't seen it yet and when I finally have the time to, it's not showing anymore. I don't know if it's temporary because cinemas usually make way for local films this time of the year. I really really want to watch it. Oh well.

We watched Sisterakas. Which I would be reviewing later. I guess.

Doomsday. Random Ramblings.

December 23, 2012 0
Doomsday. Random Ramblings.

I really really appreciate this picture because it's like a good representation of how we should live our lives.

Like, the apocalypse didn't happen. Well not that I actually believe it will but things like that can't be avoided. It's not like we have a contract to finish here on Earth. We will leave here if time comes. It's REALITY.

Want to know what we did? Like, we were actually on duty that night before the 21st and we happily welcomed it and actually exchaged gifts like a boss. Hahaha

On 2040, it was recently said that the asteroid would actually miss the Earth. It was predicted beforehand that there would be a 0.2% chance of it hitting it. But are we sure? I'm not superstitious or anything but that 0.2% happens every time. Every second, every minute, every hour. That danger is real. But that doesn't mean we have to live in fear. That doesn't mean that we actually have to be so paranoid that something might fall over our head and kill us. With that being said, we shouldn't be afraid to take risks.

What if the most awaited moment of our life is about to happen and we're just afraid to see because of hoax warnings? What do we do? Be scared? I don't think so. And I actually don't mean that we be careless and all that. I mean, it's good to take warnings but sometimes we just have to gauge whatever we have to gauge first.

This is what I'm talking about. It's kind of 'that thinking'. Yeah? I think it's time we work on our bucket list or whatever list we have and cross out stuff and all that. I mean, it's always a good time to get started. We could slow down, and breathe. But never stop and give up.

UST Paskuhan FIREWORKS.

December 23, 2012 1
UST Paskuhan FIREWORKS.
All iPhone pictures in case you are wondering. Because you know, I can't borrow my cousin's camera because she was using it as well.

Like, surprisingly, I was kind of impressed.

Heart the heart. Like, literally. This is like some kind of a magical moment since the song playing in this right moment was WE FOUND LOVE. Speaking of which, I kind of liked the songs they played. Like, all. I am kind of proud of myself too for the picture above. Awesum!

I am kind of disturbed because you know that optical illusion that lets you count the black dots? IT'S HAPPENING. Hahaha and I don't know if I should be annoyed or what.

Can I just say that UST did a good job in pranking us all? Like, seriously. Great job guys. If you're not there, what happened was they kind of let us count to 1 and then some crappy fireworks display happened. And there's no sound so whatever and everyone was like asking for the sound and stuff and it ended quickly. Well, it's actually not that crappy but IT WAS FAR FROM THE USUAL UST FIREWORKS DISPLAY. So whatever.

And then we kind of faced the front again right? Because the first one kind of happened behind Plaza Mayor or somewhere in that area. And the host announced something like, "THE REAL FIREWORKS DISPLAY!" and then these pictures happened.

Paskuhan Tips 101.

December 20, 2012 1
Paskuhan Tips 101.

I can't believe that it's like tomorrow already. I don't know know what its gonna be about but most likely Christmas, yeah? Hahaha but I know for sure that it's gonna be fun. Like, a whole lot of fun. For sure.

But it can't always be magical and wonderful because you know. Things happen. Here are some tips/DOs/DON'Ts and just about whatever I could think of for this moment to be wonderful.

If you're a Thomasian, you probably know what to expect. So these guides are probably for Freshmen/Outsiders.

1. Bring your I.D.

- Like, seriously. It'll be like a FastPass to Disney Land or something. Because those who don't have someone to bring them inside the university or probably can't contact their Thomasian friend would like queue and actually block the gate so if you don't bring your Thomasian I.D., that's gonna be your luck. More or less.

2. Bring something to sit on.

- Old newspapers, blankets, mats, whatever. It's gonna be your sanctuary for the whole night so yeah.

3. Don't expect to be able to use your phone to send texts or to be able to call.

- Nope. Unless you're lucky.

4. Please do not litter.

- Like, please understand that we (Thomasians) somehow actually paid for the event to happen and it's so mean of you guys to actually throw your rubbish anywhere you want. Isa bang malaking park ang UST? Hindi. Thanks.

5. Don't bring your car. Just carpool.

- So that we can avoid traffic. :))

Give me a break. Rant.

December 20, 2012 0
Give me a break. Rant.

The thing is I don't usually answer back to people. Not that I get complaints often but you know! I actually rarely answer back. It's either I'm sure that I am right or I think that I am mostly right. The point is! There are just some people I can't stand anymore.

Let me just share some of my internship experiences. Can I just say that lately, I get really pissed off easily by stuff. And it's not just me. Ha! In Histopath section, we actually get to extract from our patients' and that means we actually have to deal with the relatives. Which I hate by the way. If you don't know already.

I have three stories to tell you. Just so you would be able to figure out what I am trying to tell.

First.

This happened during the morning pick-up. If you don't know what that is, it's when we extract blood from the patients' every morning for their laboratory exams and all that stuff.

Okay so let's start for real with the first case.

There's this patient who I was about to extract right? I informed the relative and guess what? The relative left. I actually don't know if I persuaded her to leave or what but when I informed her, she left. And I don't know why. If you know me, you would know I don't mind. Hospitals here should be like hospitals in Japan. NO RELATIVE ALLOWED. Anyways, so I tried to extract blood but when I injected the needle, he was like moving and tried to remove my tourniquet and his other hand was like so makulit. So obviously, I wasn't able to extract blood properly.

Morning picks actually go by pair so I helped my co-intern with his extraction and asked him to hold the other patient for me. Guess what? The relative is back and she was already complaining on how blood was already extracted yesterday and the other day and all that. I mean, they probably don't know that laboratory tests are repeated almost everyday for monitoring and all that. And she was explaining about a test that was done to the patient which is not actually our job so whatever. So I extracted blood with my co-intern holding him but he was still moving a lot and all that. So I just got like 1cc and went down.

Second.

This one was actually an endorsement so I was already expecting that it is a hard to extract patient. Edema is actually our enemy since it makes everything worse. Like, seriously. And my post mate actually already endorsed the relative was whiny and was like complaining.

So I was actually extra courteous when I went to the ward and then I searched for the vein and actually, I was able to hit the vein but the blood was coming out too slow so I kind of don't know whether or not to pull it already because it's still not enough but I'm aware that it might already be clotted so whatevs. When I reached the end of the syringe with my plunger, the blood is not flowing anymore so I pushed it back to the level of the blood and guess what? This relative asked the most ridiculous thing ever. WHY ARE YOU INJECTING AIR? I pulled it out and yup! It was clotted. So whatever.

I then answered IT'S NOT AIR. IT'S VACUUM. And then she kind of said so many things that I can't even anymore and said I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING. And she said yeah I know what you know what you're doing but blah blah blah blah blah. Can you just stop already? GUSTO MO YATANG IKAW NA KUMUHA NG DUGO EH? Nakakahiya naman. And then I kind of said that we have other patients like that as well. Just so she know that it's not gonna be my first time. And guess what she said? I DON'T CARE ABOUT OTHER PATIENTS. I was so close in saying I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR PATIENT TOO. But I just shook it off. So close.

I actually have other vein to extract from but since I don't want to stay because you know! I might say something else.

But then I said sorry and just walked away. Thanks to the relative of the other patient for actually defending me and saying it's really hard to extract from patients like that.

And then I endorsed it to the nurse and she said she also can't extract blood from that patient and so I was like okay, I'll just endorse it to my staff.

So that happened.

Can I just say that I was really really pissed off? Like, injecting air?? What kind of science is that? If I indeed injected air, she probably wouldn't be able to speak anymore because her relative would be dead. Annoying.

Third.

I've been hearing about this patient for a while now. Like the staffs are always mentioning her. Thing is we actually don't extract blood from those who pay for everything they avail. Like, those who are from the pay ward.

So then I got asked to go to her ward with the pathologist on duty and the relatives were so nice and all that. The guy was combing his mother's hair and all that. And then they were really really nice that the guy actually got a flashlight and pointed it to his mother's hand for the doctor to actually see better.

The staff on duty who endorsed actually said that she tried 4 times and failed and all that and then the pathologist I was with tried like 4 times and failed. But did the relatives complain? No.

So whatever.

They all get hurt. It's not like there's local anesthesia for those who are in the pay ward or something. Some people just have to be a little more understanding.

For patients' relatives one and two. What do they expect their patients to be in a hospital? Effing comfortable? No needles and all that? Stay home then. Government hospitals like my hospital now is trying to help but you have to help us too. Just effing shut up. It would really mean a lot.
