UST Paskuhan 2013

December 30, 2013 0
UST Paskuhan 2013

Hi guys! I want to share what happened during PASKUHAN! And man I tell you! It was not glamorous at all. Not pretty! Like, quite messy but fun in some ways. I have been attending Paskuhan for quite a while now and I think this is not the best that I have been. Let's start from the start. We arrived really really early for the occasion. Say, 4 pm? The Paskuhan is not until 7 so we really tried our best to beat our own record. I think our earliest time is around 5 ish. So since we were early, we decided to have merienda first.

cousin and I
sister dear

We went to Santorini! Again, that might not be any News to you at all since you probably know by now that I love going there. Also, we had some milkshakes from Indulgence.  And then we went back to the field. I tell you it was rather a very rainy Paskuhan. Like to the point where we weren't able to use the newspapers (to sit on) I prepared. It's just a floody/muddy mess.

It all started with a mass and during the mass, I was really hoping that the rain would stop immediately. It didn't fail me. That much. It continued raining for a while after the mass and stopped for good after probably an hour.

I really really feel so bad that we left during the mass but we didn't really mean it. We're just avoiding getting wet and probably sick. We didn't leave as in leave though. We stayed on the pavement where there are trees to shelter us sort of.

this is all we get
And this Paskuhan is really different because there's no fireworks and stuff but the priest told us that it wouldn't be a Paskuhan without Fireworks so this happened.

HAPPY US
Main Building is Gorgeous!

After the mass, we gladly went back on track. And what's nice in this year's Paskuhan is that there are few mono blocks and I guess we were lucky to be able to get some for ourselves. One thing I really wanted to achieve each Paskuhan is to get closer in front. Like, god knows how far we were on stage for like 4-5 years and yeah this Paskuhan is the closest we were on stage and yay for us!

this is how close we were
I would still prefer us being at the center of the field though but this is a lot better than being at the back or somewhere not in front. Quite an achievement. Can we just take a moment and appreciate the beautiful but awkwardly positioned chandelier.

Danita Paner
People would probably say Joyce Pring but I'd say Danita is the most gorgeous person I've seen on stage that night. Irrelevant information.

source
My favorite performer? RICO BLANCO! Like, it's not even debatable. He's just so good! The rest was also good but he's just the best. The performances were great! I don't have anything bad to say about the performances but man they really started too late.

I think it's because of the rain or something but still, it was annoying. I think they started at around 8:30 and the thing is we weren't able to finish all the performances and stuff because I was expecting a 12am wrap up but this time around they still have 2 bands on queue at 1:30 in the morning. Also, they were cutting performances. I mean, the host would come out all of a sudden during a short pause thinking the performance is done but yeah I think they were rushing things already. Oh well.

who's haggard?
I have duty in the morning so we really have to go home so we did.  That's about my Paskuhan experience guys. See yah!

December Plans and Wishes

December Plans and Wishes

Already December 3 today! Can you believe it? What's up guys? It's already the last month of 2013 and I only have roughly 4 months left to spend in this country. So I thought I'd share my December plans with you. Not that I have a lot though LOL.

Christmas is just around the corner so I'm looking forward to our Christmas Party. It would be around mid December and since it's the first work-related Christmas Party that I would be attending to, I'm really happy. Although I have been told that we're just gonna eat outside and not really celebrate as in celebrate, I think it would still be something something.

I want to see UST at night. I don't know but there's really something about seeing it at night on Christmas season. It kind of removes the stress from my system and I love it.

UST Annual Paskuhan is also coming up and I wouldn't dare miss that! It would be my last time for a long time so I'm quite excited for that. My aim this season is to actually go and sit somewhere in front because dude we always stay at the back and I think the closest we got to watch is like mid section only.

I am looking forward to Christmas as well. We'll go to the Church that's for certain and watch a MMFF entry probably and yeah looking forward to that.

I don't know if I would be able to go to Bataan with fam to celebrate the dad's  birthday because of duties but most likely, not. But I still want to go there though. Just to relax and enjoy life a little bit. And if you haven't seen mu blog post about that, the sunset there is phenomenal.

Also, if lucky, I want to visit some falls which is like away from the city but not too far from here. It's not yet too mainstream so I want to get there before it's too late sort of. That's all for my December plans guys! It's not too much but I just want to share it with you. That's all guys.

And oh! One last thing before I go, I will try my very best to blog every other day this month. I'm doing good so far by blogging everyday! And hopefully I would be able to keep up with you as much as I managed to do for the first three days of this month so far. Alrighty.

Share Your Blessings

October 06, 2013 0
Share Your Blessings
Hello guys! I just want to share what happened yesterday. Because I think it's worth sharing (everything is for me anyway) and so yeah this is how it went. The game plan is to go to the Professional Regulation Commission and to get tickets for the Mass Oath Taking and then go to the University of Santo Tomas to get my Alumni Card.

When I was still a reviewee, I tried something from this restaurant with my co-intern/co-reviewee and I kind of liked it so I endorsed it to my cousin. What you see above is what I ordered. Which I kind of regret because I don't know I think everything is just kind of mismatched. It's Seafood Sisig but then I think they could do better with the freshness of the ingredients. I loved their Tea though. Oh for some reason, they don't have the food I want. It already happened twice but anyways.

Posting this to show you guys how poor my cousin's iPhone photography skill is. LOL just kidding. She said she'll do better next time.

This is the ticket I got from PRC. Can I just say that I really find it expensive. The ticket is like 1k each and I just can't help but remember my Graduation Ball held at Diamond Hotel for like 1200 Php I guess? So I better get the same service and the same food! :)) I heard quite a lot of bad things about the food but I 'll be kind and try to appreciate everything and I'll blog about it soon.

I present to you my Alumni Card which is kind of a long time coming item because this is what happened. Cards should have been out by July 1st but then they said they have problems with their machine so they delayed it and said it would be out by the end of the month and then I checked and they said the cards wouldn't be out until the end of August. So yeah that happened. Can't really complain about it since I think they did their best at some point.

Can I just say that this is like a proud moment 101 when I saw my friend's Kim banner. I kind of saw this already on my other friend's Facebook post but like seeing it in real life kind of makes me prouder. Oh the reason why entitled this Share You Blessings is that I happened to receive my first paycheck and that kind of slipped away just like that. Oh wells. Irrelevant actually.

Samsung CDC 2013 Forecast and Winners!

September 15, 2013 0
Samsung CDC 2013 Forecast and Winners!

As I am typing these thoughts, no winners yet but I will include the winners at the end of my post. Okay?

FEU CHEERING SQUAD

Camel toes. Can I just say that that's the first thing I noticed. Boys and girls! Anyway. I didn't really like the costume but my sister thinks it's nice. Okay. I don't really think they did spectacular but they didn't have any major mistake or whatever but yeah the point is they didn't really do something impressive for me. I like the makeup of the presenter though. I don't know if I'm in the position (not) to say what they should or shouldn't have done but the girls should have have the same makeup as hers.

UP PEP SQUAD - Party

I generally liked their routine but then they kind of had mistakes. I don't know if my count is right but they had 3 major mistakes but I think they did beautifully. I like their spirit! I like their costume. I like their hair!

UE PEP SQUAD - Fire

Pretty normal. They had probably 2 mistakes and yeah. I don't get why they have to paint people's faces white because if they're on fire, shouldn't they be black because they're burning? I don't know. I liked their pyramids though. Perfectly made.

DLSU ANIMO SQUAD- Army

They really did well. I liked their routine and everything but their costume. It's just that I don't think it's cheer dance looking material but yeah job well done. The only mistake I noticed is the pyramid thing but that almost doesn't count.

NU PEP SQUAD- Arabic/Indian

I find the bald guys weird. It just doesn't look right. But their routine is quite alright. Nothing too "wow" factor routine.

UST SALINGGAWI DANCE TROUPE - Egyptian

I don't know what's wrong with UST but they're like taking us all around the world. But anyways, I liked the dance moves and all but let's all admit it, the tricky parts failed big time. Maybe it's not yet the time for Salinggawi to really shine. Better luck next time.

ATENEO BLUE BABBLE BATTALION

I think they did okay. Most of the teams are down so I think they might make it!

ADAMSON PEP SQUAD - Glamour

Not really glamorous! But they did okay. I have a dancer friend there so yeah. Uhm they did quite a few mistakes but since they are the host. The judges might not be able to see that mistakes. So yeah. Let's see.

Oh-no You Didn't

July 27, 2013 0
Oh-no You Didn't

Aloha guys! How are you? Me, you ask? Well hanging by a thread. But it's better than not hanging at all, aye? I just want to share to you guys an experience which might or might not be relevant to each other but whatever! Also, can I just share that yesterday, I was searching for the perfect picture to attach right?, and I didn't know what to put so I just searched "Just Keep Swimming" from Finding Nemo on We Heart It and saved it on my phone then on my way home, the guy in front of me, an athletic cute guy from University of the East if you may, have a tattoo on his wrist/arm and then from my position, all I could see was 'ard' so I was thinking maybe it's the last letters of his name so I settled for that but then after a while he kind of rested his arm on his lap and then I probably looked so weird and creepy that time but I really tried hard to read it with its weird font and stuff and then it turned out that it's "KEEP MOVING FORWARD" so I was pleased that the picture is meant to be here. No matter what. Anyways.

Oh can I just say that I want a tattoo so bad now. But then I promised myself that I wouldn't get one until I was able to donate at least 1 gallon of blood so yeah. I must keep that promise.

Okay so my kwento is about this. Yesterday, at about lunch time, I was at McDonald's right? Then beside me was an old guy and then I didn't notice him until 2 girls from Far Eastern University came in and then he offered his seat but the girls just ignored her. How mean of them (I thought). And I'm a little bit nosey so I thought that they're together and stuff and that the girls just didn't want to be with him on the same table. So then when he dropped his pen near my place, I took it, right? Because it's effin near my place and I thought he's already old and might not be able to pick it up on his own and anyway that's just what a normal person would do, yeah? I returned his pen to him and he was sooo thankful and asked me to transfer to his table. I did. WHAT WAS I THINKING? Like, seriously. He asked me where I came from and all that but don't worry guys! I didn't tell him the truth. I should be sorry about that but I was just protecting myself, you know. Okay so told me stuff like really random stuff like he told me he used to work for Mitsubishi and some random Japanese companies and then he said something about Shinzo Abe and that he told me that The Filipinos prefer the Japanese than the Chinese (no offense) because of that Spratly Islands issue and then just because I told him, he told me he studied journalism in UST and that it is his favorite alma mater and that he also studied in UP, University of Georgia and then somewhere else. He also told me he's a lawyer and just waiting for a client that is already late he added. He whispered "annulment". So after a while he told me he would go to Quiapo Church instead and then he was like "oh that reminds me of something" he then took his envelope full of stuff and then brought out an envelope. I SAW THAT COMING. He's actually an English speaking man so I didn't doubted right away but I somehow saw that coming. He told me that it's for donation and stuff and then told him I don't have extra money. He told me it doesn't have to be that big and I was like, even though. I told him I don't carry money around because it's dangerous and stuff which he bought so whatever. LOL. So then I hurried and left the crime scene. Because cheeseburgers. How have you been, guys?

Getting Touristy at UST

June 07, 2013 0
Getting Touristy at UST
If you have been with me for some time, you may have known that I am from The University of Santo Tomas which I'm really proud of by the way and I can't imagine myself being an alumni of a different institution. I don't mean to offend any schools of course. It's just a matter of preference. So last week, I went back to check and to run some errands that I would be needing for the board exam application and shiz like that but mostly to check and take some pictures and stuff like that. Well of course! Actually, I wasn't able to accomplish paper works because of stuff so I'll definitely come back for that soon.

IN FRONT OF THE MAIN BUILDING NOT THE CHURCH
I'm pretty sure I have a picture the same as this but I don't know. Just kidding! I'm not sure. Never sure on anything these past few days, eh? So I kind of already saw the things (major letterings) I am about to show you guys below but only in pictures so when I saw it in person, I was like, excited because come on! When will I be able to go to UST with these on? With no students? Not anytime soon. So yeah we took an ample amount of pictures!

What I liked about this trip is that since there's no regular classes, there's literally just the two of us (my cousin and I) most of the time. Precious!

I'm not gonna talk about my med issues to you but this one is pretty nice. I have an issue with the general idea of this though. I'm kind of bothered by the way they spelled the things because as you can see from above, it's like this MEd. Why though? Can't spell properly, huh?

I CHOSE TO FEATURE THIS BECAUSE IT'S ALWAYS BEEN HER DREAM TO BECOME ONE.

Okay so for some reason, I wasn't able to go out the arc just yet. But I kind of lost my interest in doing that but I might do it soon. And if  I do, I want it to be dramatic. LOL. You're probably thinking what the heck I'm talking about but it's like a tradition for first year students to enter the arch of the centuries and then exit upon graduation but then again I wasn't able to exit due to some unknown reasons so there you go.

REPRESENT! :D

This is probably the most exciting part of the trip. Like, I was so surprised that they placed this kind of seat and then I asked my cousin why is she not excited and she said she's pretty sure I'm the only one who got excited with the existence of this thingy. I'm pretty sure not! I don't know if this is like a permanent thing though. Because things come and go. LOL. True story. Anyways, it was such a fun experience to go back there. UST will always be my home away from home.

Just 3 things.

Just 3 things.
Just a little bit of update guys! :)

Look! This came in not so long ago and I can't help but to be proud of myself for being able to accomplish such! It was not an easy road so I'm really happy that I've made it! And I have the proof! I know I've described my college journey as such million times already so excuse if I'm being redundant. Although I don't think I would be doing med tech stuff yet but I'm just happy that I have a good and reliable plan B (B for back up plan).

Life is a One Hit Wonder
<div align="center"><a href="http://shikimikie.blogspot.com" title="Life is a One Hit Wonder"><img src="http://s14.postimg.org/ld04ljl01/depositphotos_5650053_pink_floral_background.jpg" alt="Life is a One Hit Wonder" style="border:none;" /></a></div>

I made a "grab button" for my blog. Just for fun! If you're interested in swapping buttons, you can totally ask for it. Or if you just want to put mine on your blog and don't want me to feature yours, that would be fine! This is just for personal blogs though. :) You can either leave a comment down below or just contact me wherever you wish to.I can also make you some other designs if you like. I mean, I may put up some other designs soon so we'll all be happy and diverse and stuff! :D

On other news, since I don't know if I would be able to vote again after I leave the Philippines this September (semi-for good), and since I'm already changing citizenship and stuff, I think I would like to exercise my right to vote this coming election. I had a look at the COMELEC website but that didn't help as much. I knew where my mom and I's precincts are and knew the names of the candidates' but no other information. I know I should have watched some of the TV shows that featured the candidates but then again, I realized I didn't really miss anything. Because if I would be running for a position, I wouldn't say rubbish things on national television. So I will just do my own research and hopefully I would be able to vote the right persons. I would like to think of my vote as a gift for The Philippines. Sort of. And to myself as well. That's it for my update guys! I hope you're all having a great week so far.

Monday 1 April 2013

It's April!

April 01, 2013 1
It's April!
I know that Graduation only happens once but this is actually my GRADUATION MONTH and I'm really really very happy that COLLEGE IS OVER for me. I survived college! Med school would be a totally different world and I don't know about that yet but while I'm not yet decided, I'm not gonna be so problematic about it.

The first batch of my dedication and stuff. I don't know why I blurred that because you're probably not interested anyways. Pero okay lang. I'm gonna give the privacy my friends deserve. :D So I totally just wrote this awhile ago but it didn't really require me a lot of effort because you know, when you're sincere about what you're writing, you just have to go with the flow of your feels. Much like blogging.

I'm all set for tomorrow's graduation and I am so excited. Oh my inner self is actually very much ready but who's gonna do my make-up? Our call time is actually at 6:00 am and who's gonna do my make-up that early? And because I don't want to do things abruptly, I decided to try on the look I want to pull-off tomorrow.

I would like to call this particular look "I Leave it ALL to you, Michelle Phan." or maybe "Michelle Phan, you Made it ALL Look so Easy" look. I don't want to actually overdo my make-up but I'm not sure I want to look neutral too. I mean, it's not happening everyday and it's not actually gonna happen anytime soon so I want tomorrow to be at least memorable. At least.

Oh and I also had my nails done and yeah, quite matchy-matchy with the dress that I would be wearing for tomorrow bur whatevs. So yeah, that's all I have to say for this one. I'm so excited for tomorrow. Hopefully everything would turn out fine because we hella didn't practice anything. So yeah, hope it's all good and hopefully you guys weren't fooled big time today and everything. That's all! :))

Caleruega Photos! A Look Back (Sort of)

March 29, 2013 0
Caleruega Photos! A Look Back (Sort of)
Most of the pictures are pictures from my friends who are in the pictures as well. Thank you guys! For making me feel sentimental a little bit. These just have to be in my blog. LOL. I just miss everything.

This is during one of our stop overs. I don't understand this picture very much but I look happy. Which is always nice.

My friend and I was taking pictures of people who were apparently taking pictures of us too. I don't own this photo but I'm glad this exists. You know, I know a person that takes a lot of pictures like, non-stop and he mentioned once that it's kind of not nice to take pictures of people who are prepared to have their picture taken all the time because what would they do? SMILE? Yup! But only for the camera. It's nice to take pictures of moments like this too. CANDID. And now the not so candid photo: LOL.

FRIENDS!

People I met during my internship and people I won't forget for like, forever. They're just awesome. They're like my groupmates during my first internship as well so we're always like, together and you know! Just being awesome together.

Even though it's already night time already, and raining at some point, we still wandered and just talk about everything under the sun. Or what? Haha

We were actually told to go back to our rooms at 10 because they will be closing the lights already and because it was raining really really hard, the power source in the city was out originally and that they were running everything with their power generator. And we were like, okay, we still got time. Somehow.

Then the next day, even though it rained a little bit harder, we can't be stopped. People just can't discourage us, you know! Because I remember someone warned us that we can't pass thru this area because it's dang muddy and all that. But VOILA! That's all! :)

LOL
