Getting Touristy at UST

Getting Touristy at UST
If you have been with me for some time, you may have known that I am from The University of Santo Tomas which I'm really proud of by the way and I can't imagine myself being an alumni of a different institution. I don't mean to offend any schools of course. It's just a matter of preference. So last week, I went back to check and to run some errands that I would be needing for the board exam application and shiz like that but mostly to check and take some pictures and stuff like that. Well of course! Actually, I wasn't able to accomplish paper works because of stuff so I'll definitely come back for that soon.

IN FRONT OF THE MAIN BUILDING NOT THE CHURCH
I'm pretty sure I have a picture the same as this but I don't know. Just kidding! I'm not sure. Never sure on anything these past few days, eh? So I kind of already saw the things (major letterings) I am about to show you guys below but only in pictures so when I saw it in person, I was like, excited because come on! When will I be able to go to UST with these on? With no students? Not anytime soon. So yeah we took an ample amount of pictures!

What I liked about this trip is that since there's no regular classes, there's literally just the two of us (my cousin and I) most of the time. Precious!

I'm not gonna talk about my med issues to you but this one is pretty nice. I have an issue with the general idea of this though. I'm kind of bothered by the way they spelled the things because as you can see from above, it's like this MEd. Why though? Can't spell properly, huh?

I CHOSE TO FEATURE THIS BECAUSE IT'S ALWAYS BEEN HER DREAM TO BECOME ONE.

Okay so for some reason, I wasn't able to go out the arc just yet. But I kind of lost my interest in doing that but I might do it soon. And if  I do, I want it to be dramatic. LOL. You're probably thinking what the heck I'm talking about but it's like a tradition for first year students to enter the arch of the centuries and then exit upon graduation but then again I wasn't able to exit due to some unknown reasons so there you go.

REPRESENT! :D

This is probably the most exciting part of the trip. Like, I was so surprised that they placed this kind of seat and then I asked my cousin why is she not excited and she said she's pretty sure I'm the only one who got excited with the existence of this thingy. I'm pretty sure not! I don't know if this is like a permanent thing though. Because things come and go. LOL. True story. Anyways, it was such a fun experience to go back there. UST will always be my home away from home.

Bond of Blood | Mother's Day Celebration

Bond of Blood | Mother's Day Celebration
GRAYISH BAY

We actually decided to stop by because our reservation is at 6 pm and we kind of left the house earlier than we should be so I guess it's a WIN-WIN situation. What I think about the Manila Bay now, you ask? It's still hella dirty and I don't know whether or not it will be better than that but then again, it kind of improved its situation comparing it from the last time I visited.

The smell of the bay is still horrible and not suitable but again, I don't know if that's even what they have to deal with but with a clean bay, it would follow, yeah?

SOMEONE IS JUST FEELING IT
AI have to say though! That the barrier's definitely higher and I remember ranting about that here, I don't know whether they're reading my blog or maybe they're just as brilliant as I am or whatever. Kidding of course!

Here with my grandma and my two sisters

My first plate! I know this looks unappetizing right now but these are good! :) Anyways, that's all I have to share with you right now! Good vibes!

More Fun Indeed.

More Fun Indeed.

Lurve how well I blended with the flowers on the background. We actually just passed by here on our way to Manila Ocean Park.

Cousin carrying her heels and my umbrella. She was like, you can do it! And then took the umbrella with her. What a loving cousin she is.

What happened here? I don't know. And because of that, I would like to name this picture the "YOU DON'T DO THAT TO ME" picture. Thanks.

I know it's kind of hard to decipher but let's just appreciate this for a while. Considering it's free, we can't really complain about it. The first time I heard about this was at the PATHOLOGY OFFICE when one doctor recommended going here to another doctor because it's romantic and the doctor then said she would go. And passing along the other day, I was allured.

See? Look at that. I don't get why there's fire though. I don't know if it's part of the show or it's something mechanical and unavoidable. It's sometimes destructive in a sense.

Manila Ocean Park. A Look Back.

Manila Ocean Park. A Look Back.
I don't know when exactly but I remember going here not so long before it was opened. And it's not a good idea at all. I didn't appreciate anything during that time because there were so many people crowding and you can't really stop and look at things because you know, the people behind were complaining and all that. I don't know but I really didn't see its beauty before.

Little sisters! Lurve. LOL. Look at Mika with the travel guide thingy. Hahaha

I actually like visiting places like this. I mean, it's good to kind of have time to appreciate nature. See, even my sister was interested. I guess there should be a lot of place like this. It's a good way to preserve what is left of us. It's a good place to learn stuff.

When we went there, I think the only place conducive for photos was this place. Not even too conducive since people are kind of still everywhere.

But thanks to this that my sisters and I were able to relax after that exhausting walk. Say hello to my pink nails! Hahaha. Whut? This was what I enjoyed most about this trip. I will actually revisit the place and kind of rediscover what I already did before and kind of experience the new things they have to offer. :) Peace!

Intramuros. A Look Back.

Intramuros. A Look Back.
Back when I was still in second year, our Rizal Course teacher actually required us to go to Intramuros/Fort Santiago/Luneta Park and to document everything. Like, everything. So whilst trying to organize my files, I found some pictures to share. Awesome!

With my group mates that specific project. :)

Taking picture with le guard.

Us trying to be prisons and yeah. Some (including myself) smiled so yeah. FAIL.

Actually, it was quite an awesome and educational trip in such a way that you'll get to see what you really have to see. If that doesn't make sense, carry on. LOL.

I guess we got tired and just sat and took pictures and stuff. That's all! :)

Manila Zoo Visit

October 19, 2012 0
Manila Zoo Visit
So I kind of wanted to visit this zoo for quite a while now. I've been there maybe three times but the last time I went there was way back high school so that's kind of way way way back. There's a lot of controversies going on so I kind of wanted to see it for myself.

Let's get started.

This is actually the first thing we saw. And I was like,  WTF? And then when we kind of moved a little, we saw that people are kind of looking at something there so OFF we go.

I don't actually know why but the elephant was temporarily placed there. But then again after we actually passed thru the reptile tunnel, the elephant was freed.

I actually didn't hear it or anything but my cousin actually told me that the elephant was banging the wall and all that stuff. I wonder why though. So as I was telling you, we went through the reptile stage and guess what? I discovered that my iPhone works better than my digital camera when it comes to taking pictures inside the glass thing.

Very short walk but interesting place. Like, not extraordinaire or whatever. Something you would expect to see in a zoo. Actually, kind of less but whatever.

With the two pictures of snakes above, if you can tell, there's actually a kind of big bump or whatever. The reason behind it is that there are actually live chickens inside their cage and yeah.

These two are actually untouched. Few girls actually screamed when we were on the other end of the tunnel and my cousin reckons that it was due to the snakes eating the chickens. Which is actually a good hypothesis if you ask me. Or maybe they're just playing around. So...

More reptiles.

For some reason, we really have an issue with the low barrier wood kind of thingy. We felt kind of unsafe with it because we actually don't know what to expect. Sort of. They should have placed the animal's identification at the very front so we would know.

Also! I think that since the zoo is actually quite big, they should somehow consider renovating it to kind of give equal amount of space to animals. Just saying. Like, I think this cage alone is pretty small for them all.

This one too. I probably get the idea that they kind of want to let the animals live together and all that stuff but yeah. I think it would have been better if they were given their own space. I think.

Or they probably just want to live together. Okay, I have nothing to say to that.

I don't know if we counted it right, but we think there are four tigers inside the zoo. There are only three in this collage thingy because the two pictures below are actually the same tiger.

Okay so we continue. :D

Just when I though this spot is perfect for a picture, there's some tetra pack below the bench. Oh well. Life.

This is supposed to be the cage where the porcupine is. Well, the porcupine is actually there. But how the hell can we see it? People are trying to mess with us. Really.

Like, seriously?

Some dark horses. They're actually cute.

For some reason, when we were about to leave the zoo, the birds actually screeched really loud and all that. Which actually scared us a little bit. But whatever. And just a fun fact, the zoo keepers need to teach their parrots some manners. When we approached the parrot (second frame) it said PANGIT (ugly) LOL. Sooo mean!

Need some improvement on bird cages too, aye? But I like this bird. Kind of colorful.

They probably need to touch up paints too. Oh wells. And then we went to Robinson's Place Manila to get some stuff mom asked us to get for them and all that.

LOL for inappropriate blog pictures.
