This is How We Do.

July 23, 2013 1
This is How We Do.
This is what happened during my short short visit to my Tita's house. I don't know what I'm doing with my life. I will review soon! :)) Well I tried to scan my notes though. I also made my notes a coloring book because I was coloring it with random colors without meaning anything. Anyways. Just gonna show you what happened on the second night of my stay.

MYSELF, TITA, AND HER FRIEND
Can I just say that this drinking session is actually unexpected so I didn't bother to change my clothes and stuff. I didn't even bother fix my hair. LOL. Like, quite a lot of people came but then most of them stayed outside because uhm we have a separate table for guys outside and we girls get to stay in. We're cool like that. LOL.

YUMS! CRISPY FRIES AND DELISH PASTA
ONE DOWN
Although I wouldn't recommend doing it everyday, I recommend you guys throw up a small party like this too! It's fun celebrating nothing at all. I really had fun! Good vibes, you guys! :)

Ship in the Bottle

Ship in the Bottle

Okay so this is like a story I really have to share with you guys. I've told you guys that I have started reviewing for my board exam already, yeah? And let me just tell you about this. The first day was so freaking exhausting! Imagine! We only had an hour break from 8 am - 7 pm. Non stop! Information overload! But I'm not gonna tell you guys more boring stuff than I already did. Okay so this is what happened. Our lunch schedule is supposed to be at 12, right? But then our instructor asked our permission to extend her lesson up to 12:30 so that she wouldn't cut it halfway because that would lead to poorer retention and stuff, right? She also told us that her decision is final so we don't really get to choose. LOL.

source
Okay so an unknown guy kind of knocked, I guess? And then the instructor asked if he's like looking for someone and so after they talked, the instructor told the guy to go to the office instead because for eff's sake, we're having our something something, right? So yeah. But she was nicer than that and actually just asked the guy to ask assistance at the office. The guy came back probably 5000 words after (our hema teacher talks way too fast) and then the somehow office guy talked to our instructor or some stuff and it seems to be clearer to our instructor all of a sudden. Okay that happened.

The guy who knocked then excused himself from our tumbling minds and told us about his life drama. As a starter, he told us that my review center have been helping his family and his former inmates' families for quite a while now and okay with his story now. He said that his parents are both dead now and that he's the one taking care of her two sisters. He said that he was imprisoned for 14 years. He also said that he'd be showing us products that he and his inmates did to support their families outside the jail. So okay. One of the products featured is a ship inside a bottle. Not as nice as the photo above of course.

source
It's not even whiskey bottle. Here's the thing! It's actually kind of expensive (at least for me) and the bottle is like ugly but I do appreciate that they recycled stuff but recycled bottles can be pretty too you know. Okay so whatever. He said that they do things manually and stuff and that's actually believable. I saw someone do it myself before so I wasn't as surprised as some of my mates. Then our instructor was kind enough to ask him to sit and wait for the lunch break and then when we returned he was like thanking everyone who bought his products and then somehow summarized his story and then I did hear that he mentioned that he was imprisoned for 13 years and I was just like, where did the other year go? Okay so whatever, right? He then said something like there's someone who came to him and doesn't really want to buy but gave him 50 pesos to somehow help him and that if we want to help too, he would pass a bag to put in our tokens and whatever and then when the bag reached the middle, our instructor asked us to stop passing it. Asked the office guy to get and return it to the guy and contrary to what he said, the higher office doesn't know that the guy entered our room.

While in the middle of our lesson, our instructor asked us who that person is (gave the 50 pesos) and like after asking probably three times, still, no one answered. Oh well. It's pretty sad. I like the idea of people working to support their families but to actually say something that is NOT TRUE, that's offensive. It's really sad what people do  nowadays just to get something from other peoples' pockets. Not true for everyone but this is why I don't like giving coins or anything to people asking for it. I think I have told you this but this is especially true to children and tough guys asking for alms. I just want to emphasize that children shouldn't be the one working! These more masculine guys than the actual working guys should! It irritates me a little bit actually and I might punch someone in the face next time. AGH! I hate it.

Baby Lips by Maybelline Product Review

May 20, 2013 2
Baby Lips by Maybelline Product Review

This is how the thing looks like unopened. It's actually

The flavor my mom got me was Mixed Berry. I don't know what goodness can it give my lips but it's sure smells delicious or maybe it's because of olfaction and shiz. I don't know.

This is how the thing looks like and as you can see, it's quite pink already so it's quite obvious that you would get that pink glow it claims to give. It's moisturizing and it's really easy to apply so I'm really happy about this product.

This is how it looks like on my hand. Don't be fooled though because I applied this when I was about to go to the hospital and then when I looked at the mirror there, my lips were neon. It doesn't look like it for the first few minutes that you would apply it but really? Neon? I was like surprised because WTH? It's probably just my lips or whatever but this is intense. Now, I actually like the color it gives but it was just inappropriate that time.

You definitely can't see the neon here but this is the pink tinge it gives at first so yeah. On another note, my skin is still at its worst right now. Oh well.

Cheap Doesn't Equal Value

April 25, 2013 2
Cheap Doesn't Equal Value

Nothing really special about the packaging. Not nice or anything. It's simply boring. But you can't really complain much because it's cheap so yeah. The brand is ELLEFAR  and I got the colors Elegant Mauve and Clear Coral. If you don't speak colors, it's pretty much hot pink and orange. Yay!

To open the lid of the lipstick, you have to remove the plastic covering it so the only thing you could hold on to is the label below the lipstick like the picture above.

The swatch of "Clear Coral" is kind of longer because I didn't expect it to be that pigmented so I kind of recklessly drew a line so yeah. They go on very smooth actually. I was a little bit surprised too when I applied it. I am pretty impressed with how vibrant the colors are. As you can see in the photo though, since I have dry skin, it basically followed the texture of my skin so if you're gonna apply this on your lips, you better have exfoliated, smooth lips.

AWKWARD POSITION
I was wearing an olive green eye shadow in this photo and I really looked like a beaten up panda when I checked on the mirror and since it's iPhone 4's front camera, it didn't pick up that color did it? Surprisingly though, it did with the ELEGANT MAUVE lipstick. So that's how vibrant the color is. I don't know if I like it. I think light pink fits me more. Not nude or anything because that just makes me look weirder. Just pink. Light pink. Paulit-ulit? LOL.

Body Shop's Shower Cream.

October 16, 2012 0
Body Shop's Shower Cream.

I actually got this from a friend. It comes with a box like this and it contains a luffa and a sample size shower cream.

Might just use this luffa for my face once in a while since I already have one in the shower. I mean, it's not good to exfoliate face everyday right?

I've actually tried it just now and as far as I can tell, it's actually good. I've used it awhile ago to wash my left hand just to compare and there's really like a significant difference when compared to my right hand. Like, softer. LEGIT. And then when I used it as my body wash, it really is very moisturizing I can tell. The thing about it though, even if it's soap-free, it smells like soap. K. And just because I've used bar soap half my life, I think I already consumed 1/4 of this things just because it doesn't lather as much as I am used to. But I like it. Might use what's left for washing my hands to give it some love.

Victoria Jackson. A Review.

October 06, 2012 1
Victoria Jackson. A Review.
First of all, you have to know that I am not a professional when it comes to this things so you could probably agree with me or disagree completely. It's like that take it or leave it thingy. And I don't mind. Thank you very much.
Let's get started.

I actually promised to bring you this review so yeah. :)) This is what it looks like. From the very look of it, I thought there wouldn't be much inside and stuff but yeah, it actually contains a little more than what I've expected. I don't know whether it was mom or auntie who gave this to me but THANKS. I appreciate it.

I actually tried to picture this same stuff yesterday (night) but nah, didn't work out so the brushes look like that and the colors that you will be seeing below are kind of messed up and stuff. The eyeliner is jet black! It's creamy and nice. The MASCARA is my favorite! It gives you length and volume. It's just awesome. I actually tried to use the brushes provided but they're just not so helpful. The blush brush helped a little bit though. Okay, they all helped a little bit.

What I like about their eye shadow colors is that they have it in matte and a different tray for shimmers. Although it would have been better that the range of color is similar, but then the taught is there. It can't all be shimmery or matte. In my opinion though, matte is kind of more workable than shimmers. But whatever. Among the lot, the coral/orange is my least favorite because it's actually not true to its color when swatched or applied. The rest are okay. I actually used the brown in the matte tray as contour and it's fab. The super light pink (first tray) is gorgeous for highlight.

This is the shimmer section! As much as I like the colors here better, I am just not convinced of shimmers. It looks girly, pretty, yes. But for someone like me who doesn't know how to put them on properly, it gets messy. SOMETIMES. But I'll get to it. Soon.

The white though is awesome for highlight. And I used the darkest color for my brows but it's just so overwhelming. Or maybe my brows are kind of bushy already so I probably didn't need to add some dark things to it already.

Lip products! I actually like its color range but as you may already know, I don't like putting much on my lips. I like balms though. But yeah, I like how they have the coolest to the warmest color. Good thinking.

Blushes! This blushes really do their job so you better be careful with them. In a good way though.

And it comes with a sharpener! Obviously, for the lip and eye liner. And it comes with two rectangular mirrors. One just above the blushes and one  right at the center of the compact.

The lights washed the colors away but whatever. LOL.

We washed off the color on a regular digital camera so we don't have to expect much on iPhone's camera, right? Good. Not complaining.

That's all! :)

Hanayo Korean Restaurant. Review.

Hanayo Korean Restaurant. Review.
I actually didn't took any pictures so I actually stole one from the internet.

Located near UST. Rosario/Antonio St. Dapitan side. I am bad at locations so you might want to figure out yourself. It was my first time eating there so not much to share. No pictures even. Just make your imagination work.

I was craving so meaning I got to pay. Seldom decision of mine. Hahaha.

I, together with my cousin ate our early dinner in this place since we do not have any other choice because Santorini is closed. Said. I heard this place from a friend which is from AB so she’s a Dapitan veteran. Hahaha.

Anyway, since she’s not so familiar on what to order, I ordered and we just shared everything that there is. We are family. Hahaha.

I ordered Haemul Jeon (seafood and spring onion pancake) , Chamchi Kimbap (tuna rolls), Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and Tropical juice for us two. It was delicious! We also had Chocolate Fudge ice cream after. Yes!

445 pesos all in all. Not bad! Will probably go back and take pictures next time. :)

Splash Island Philippines. A look back.

May 17, 2012 0
Splash Island Philippines. A look back.

I actually enjoyed my stay in Splash Island. For some reason, even though you have to carry your lifebuoy thingy way way up the stairs to actually ride on it on your way down, the experience was worth it. It's a pool so obviously, I didn't take so much picture in.

This is the circle thingy I was talking about, And you know, for some reason, because I was too scared that my sisters would actually fall down the super high/steep stairs, I carried their thingy too. Since we're only 3 that kind of really explored the pools, I decided to go alone and that the two of them should go together that circle thing. And there's this particular ride that kind of scared them to actually go together so I have to go down the slide with one and go way way way up again to go down with another. IMAGINE?

My least favorite would probably be the river kind of thing because that's just so dirty! I don't like it at all. Well, not really dirty. It's just that the leaves are kind of everywhere. Pool maintenance, anyone?

One advise though. Like, before you go, check the time schedule of everything because not everything is open at once. There's also a wave pool that will help you kind of relax and stuff. Very nice. They also have a zip line thingy which is kind of interesting.

My favorite ride was probably the kind of family slide in which there's this like big thing that managed to house me, my 2 sisters and mom. That was fun! One thing you have to know about mom is that she's not fun of anything like that. RIDES, ADRENALINE RUSH, and the like. So that was fun to see her kind of enjoyed a similar thing. That Magellan's drop was also nice.

I can't wait to visit. My sisters are kind of a little bit older now so hopefully less stress for me. That circle thing isn't exactly light, you know. MAN POWER! :D LOL

Dior Kiss. Review.

Dior Kiss. Review.
I haven't been using lip gloss for a while so this won't probably be very helpful for those of you who happen to come across this blog searching for an extensive review. LOL.  But hello there!

As you can see, it's just so sparkly and shimmery.

Well what can I say? I actually tried this like four times now and I actually still can't appreciate the beauty of this lip gloss. For me it's just another lip gloss.

For some reason, I really appreciate lip glosses in this kind of "dispenser" more than the mascara type-like.

And of course a swatch!

Not really pigmented. The tube color is lying. That's all for now. Might do an update if I happen to change my mind.

Magnum Ice Creams. My verdict.

March 24, 2012 0
Magnum Ice Creams. My verdict.
After my sister's graduation
The graduate girl got the Classic.
It's really CLASSIC-y but I'm afraid there are lots of ice creams out there that kind of taste the same. Nevertheless nicer though.

Mari got the Chocolate Truffle.
This right here is the winner of the bunch if you ask me. Not so sweet, very rich filling, just right. I had this last time when a very good friend of mine, bought one for me. Thanks Kim! :)

I got the Almond.
I also like the Almond only that it's too sweet. But still nice to try. I actually thought that I liked this more than the Chocolate Truffle but at the end of the day...

I actually can't understand what the craze is all about. Not that great all in all. You're probably blinded by the POSH advertisement and all that. But it's just ICE CREAM. Nothing really special about it. If you're really curious then you should give it a try but to constantly praise its goodness? You're probably over-reacting. I think that the product isn't worth its worth and people need to calm down.

Royal Milk Tea. Review.

Royal Milk Tea. Review.

Another Bubba Tea. Just want to try how their tea would taste without all ye sweetness of Caramel and just Milk Tea. Which apparently is royal for them. Actually, it's not that great. Didn't enjoy it that much. However, I still managed to finish a large cup. I like the caramel better.

Maybelline Baby Lips. Energizing Orange.

March 08, 2012 2
Maybelline Baby Lips. Energizing Orange.
I bought another lip balm awhile ago because I kind of want to have a variety. Lip balms are generally boring so, you know. Or is it just me?

I wanted to have a different color so instead of buying another pink shaded tube, I think this is a good innovation. But I must admit that I hesitated. What there is there though.

To my displeasure, it's a colorless formula. I actually though that I can have an orange tint from this but nah. What I also don't like about this is that the scent of the orange is so strong that it actually makes me dizzy (true story). The good thing is that it is actually very nice on the lips. It does feels soft but yeah the scent is just so annoying but who knows? I just bought this now and will try to wear them a couple more days and see if that kind of scent is something I'll get used to. But as of now, not something I would repurchase. For now it is a miss.

Fuji Safari Park, Japan. A look back.

March 08, 2012 0
Fuji Safari Park, Japan. A look back.

Fuji Safari Park is approximately near the foot of the mountain. You can always follow the signs and it’s all over. Entrance is 2,700 yen for adults and 1,500 yen for juniors.

The safari part of the zoo is basically a drive-thru and yeah you kind of have to wait if there's like too many cars and you have to be patient if you kind of want to move forward. But of course, who the hell wants to move forward that fast? You have to cherish the moment. Which I think I wasn't able to do. But whatever. Still got it fresh in my memories.

As a safety precaution, it's not advisable to open the window but from my experience, there's really not much - not at all animals that aren't in their sanctuary kind of thing. They're just relaxing and stuff like that and just looking around. BUT! you don't want to experience that first hand, aye?

There are like 5 or more emergency/patrol cars throughout the Safari which is nice because whatever happens, there's an assurance that help would come or whatever like that. That feeling of safety is just so awesome.

Here's an example of the shuttle you can ride in. I actually suggest that you ride in there because from my view of point, actually it's more awesome. I wonder if it's actually a bother to like have a grid in their view because of the railings, but yeah whatever. Our eyes are pretty awesome in adapting so probably not too much.

See, told you it's harmless. Haha

My favorite photo

Hooray for the baby giraffe!

Also, they have this mini park where you can see the not so safari park. You can see monkeys, sheeps, pigs, dogs, cats and all that zoo stuff in there. You can also grab your lunch inside and yeah just enjoy life with the animals.
