    Retrying J.Co Donuts

    I have mentioned before that I don't really  go gaga over J.Co. But I don't hate it, you know. If it's within my reach, I'd gladly make myself a cup of coffee and munch on! 


    I don't know what's the situation now with this but 2 years ago, you couldn't have this doughnuts if you wouldn't fall in line for maybe like 15 minutes minimum. Did the hype subside?

    Hola guys! I just wanna share! On Christmas day, after we attended a mass at Our Lady of Hope and then we went to SM North and had lunch.

    I don't know if it's just me but their Pasta Verde was dry as eff. I finished it though because it's in my nature to finish food but yeah. Also! Well my sister, grandma, and mom ordered a rice meal which comes with a corn side dish and it was sour! Spoiled obvi so my mom informed the waitress and she was just like "talaga ma'am" and I was like, WTF? Ano to chikahan lang? It was not a good experience but thanks to the cakes that somehow brightened my mood.

    French Baker's Macarons Review

    I have told you before that I was a little bit disappointed on Macarons that I have so far tasted. Well actually, I have only tasted one and not impressive at all. And I was like, I'm not gonna give up on these colorful babies and would give it another try. Here's my verdict for the second attempt.


    I got these Macarons from another familiar bakery in town. French Bakery. I have mixed feelings about this store actually. I mean, it's just that I don't really like breads all that much and the one I've tasted from this store didn't really impress me all that much so yeah. And the reviews I've seen listed Tous Les Jours' macarons above this one so I was like, there can't be anything worse than that! LOL. Just kidding. But really though thinking about it now, their macarons were pretty bad. 


    You know me! These details just made me wanna cry! LOL. But I must say that their illustration is very well made. Love! I hope to live on that house where the girl stands. Must be very magical there! 


    Verdict you ask? Well. It could be worse. I mean, just like Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans, there are good and bad flavors. And if in doubt, you can always trust brown coloured deserts. I think that's all I've enjoyed. The pinks were the foul ones and the green which I bet is Pistachio is kind of foul too but I partly like it. And the orange one was kind of okay. Definitely zesty so might have been some choco drizzled orange or something. Just a disclaimer, I don't know the official flavours of these macarons. I wish I knew. As a conclusion, nothing worse than the pinks. They taste oh so fake. One more try (from another store) and I would really give up on the pinks. Okay that's all guys!

    Sisters from the Same Mother

    Hola guys! So the other day, my sisters went to the laboratory and fetch me off work. Which is great! And then we decided to have some tea at INFINITEA. Which I was initially against because I really wanted and still want to try that Blueberry Donuts fron Dunkin but then again my sister Mika told me that she checked and the branch near our place doesn't have any stock or something so Infinitea indeed! 


    I had Tiramisu which in fairness doesn't taste like Tiramisu except that it's somehow salty but okay I'll take it. Although I'm kind of still impressed with the taste because at least it's different. But still confused. Anyways. Mika got Cappuccino Caramel Macchiato which is like sooooo crazy sweet! It's delish but I don't know how someone can drink something that sweet. I haven't tried the glucose load we make our patients drink but I can imagine the sweetness of this Cappuccino drink and glucose load being comparable in sweetness. I think this drink would be perfect with like half the sweetness taken off. Which you could totally do by the way! Well next time! Anyways.


    I'm not a fan of Strawberry Oreo but I also liked the Strawberry Oreo Frappe that my sister ordered. In all fairness, it taste like Strawberry Oreo with a little bit of magic to it. Hopefully we would all hang out a lot more like this. My sisters are already growing up and it's all happening too fast! I say we should enjoy the time and just be happy with each other's company. That's all! :)

    Chill Sunday

    This was last Sunday when my bestfriend, cousin, and I decided to attend the mass and have a little chit-chat about life. Like we always do. Last Sunday was a little different as well because we decided to visit a wake. One of the highschool teachers in our school passed away so we decided to view him before he's not physically with us anymore. It's sad because I was talking about my bestfriend on visiting him at the hospital but it all happened too fast. He was actually not my teacher but still. He was part of the school I was in so yeah. And then we decided to have coffee.


    The same place my cousin and I visited before. It's actually because Infinitea's full of people again. 


    And I don't know if I have told you this but my bestfriend and I used to regularly go to this place so it's like revisiting and reminiscing our highschool life.


    Mine is in the middle and it's a Chocomint flavored one and one thing you have to know about me is I'm all about chocomints and this one didn't make the flavor any justice. My cousin enjoyed her drink I think because she finished first. My cousin ordered White Mocha and my bestfriend got Double Black Chocolate which she barely sipped into by the way. Weird girl. LOL. She gave away the drink to little kids on her way home I believe.


    I couldn't say anything bad or good to the Nachos but uhm oh! A little bit overpriced. Just like the rest of the food on the menu. I don't really find the service in this place good at all because it's dang slow. This is how bad it is. Count the people in and then wait one by one until all their drinks are served. And then wish that the girl is making yours. The store needs two employees. Considering their overpriced drinks, the store needs two employees. That's all.

    Have a Break They Say.
    Hi guys! I have made it clear that examination days are over and I just want to share these pictures because they somehow helped me relax, study, or whatever. It helped me relax the most part. I figured that in my case, it's pretty hard to study anywhere. So if I wouldn't try, I wouldn't be able to and I'm just happy that when I tried to, it helped me relax at least. You know, maybe MED is not for me. Or maybe it is. I don't know.

    I didn't really like the cheesecake and yeah I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone but the drink was kind of a delight so definitely try that one out.


    I like how there's actually no one in my side of the shop but later on people came already and yeah. 

    CHATIME
    Delish! But then my cousin was deceived by the lady to add on some stuff and the bad part is that she decided to put those in my drink. Well I used to really like coffee jelly well in fact that's probably like my fave Starbucks drink but for some reason, I just like it if it's Starbucks. It's kind of weird but anyways. 

    COUSIN
    And by the way we ordered Shawarma from somewhere because we didn't expect them to have some food available and yeah.

    COOL
    For some reason, I think the drink we ordered doesn't go well with anything so yeah. I suggest you order it on its own. Okay so that was that and then I went again on a different day and yeah.

    I ordered the same drink as before and ordered fries with it. The fries I don't know how to feel about it but it's kind of good but at some point, it taste bland or something so I should probably give that another try and confirm. That's all of it guys! See you soon!

    So Going Back Here
    Just a little bit of kwento. I went to SM Manila right after I accompanied my friend to buy a compiled reviewer for the board exam and then I didn't want to go home right away also because I was a little bit panicky yesterday. One thing I should remember is to never ask people how far they have gone with their review. It makes me want to cry so I'm better off alone. Anyway. 


    Well actually, I went to SM Manila thinking I would try French Bakery's Macaroons but unfortunately, they don't sell it there or they probably run out of it or something but that macaroon tasting didn't happen so I was like roaming around and then searching for a tea/coffee/yogurt place instead and voila! Saw this little tea place beside the cinema. I was like, so going there!! I'm a lucky soul. 

    So luckily, I brought my notes with me and I decided to study a little bit whilst I was there. And what I like about this place is that when I take a brake or whenever I would look up just to rest my neck, I would see this art piece and then I would feel the determination rushing through my veins. Like, no joke. Maybe  all I need is an art like this and post it on my wall as well. Mmm... 


    I got a Blueberry Yogurt which was awesome! But like any other yogurt drink, it doesn't taste right anymore after many sips so yeah. You know like when it's too bitter already like, on the tongue? No?

    Some Good Tea @ Affinitea
    WALL OF GOOD VIBES
    I haven't seen this anywhere else yet so I'm assuming that this branch is the only branch. In case you're wondering, Affinitea is somehow near San Sebastian College in Manila. The last time I attempted to try something in this place, it was full so I just went to Chill Out which is literally beside this place. We were supposed to do the same thing but then my cousin noticed the place is empty so we went in right away. MUST BRING POST ITS NEXT TIME.

    GOOD STUFF
    This is probably the first time my cousin didn't get Caramel Milk Tea. She ordered some honey tea stuff and she didn't like it that much. I guess she's just used to the taste of Caramel Milk Tea that's why she didn't enjoy it. She also said that the bubbles are harder than the usual. BUT I LOVED MINE. Mine is the shorter cup by the way and I ordered some cocoa stuff with rock salt and cheese. The lady was also kind enough to ask me if I want my drink uncovered. I said yes of course. It's easier to mix and savor the drink that way anyways. 


    It's a relatively big place for a tea shop and it's really nice although I wouldn't say that the place is very ideal to stay at which is typical for tea places by the way. For some reason, it's too noisy inside. I'm not complaining of course. I'm just saying. Can I just say that the staffs were really nice. But still noisy.

    MYSELF AND MY COUSIN
    Just a side note, we were actually from PRC before we went here. Thanks to MY COUSIN for accompanying me and falling in line for me and stuff like that. If not for her, I wouldn't finish the whole examination application process a little bit earlier. So thank you! :) Can I just say that I was a little bit irritated by that one lady at the processing window because she was like doing hand movements and I was like, what the eff is happening here? And then when I asked her to repeat what she have just said, she was like irritated that I didn't here it the first time. WHAT? WOMAN, YOU DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING SO DON'T YOU DARE ACT LIKE THAT. It's pretty ironic that we have people like that inside the PROFESSIONAL REGULATION COMMISSION. But I'm good now.

    Tea Time with Cathy and Mikie
    I truly believe this should be a legit segment on my blog. But sometimes, I get disappointed by teas so I don't get inspired to continue with that kind of posts but now, I think that no matter how much I loathe (big word) the teas that I've tried, I must share it with you. That's all! Let's go!!


    Okay this one we tried because we don't have a choice. I guess we just wanted to have a tea and somehow rest our feet from our tiring UST trip. So that happened. Anyways. I kind of regret we didn't drink at ChaTime because wala lang. Anyways. 


    I actually didn't enjoy the tea but the taste is actually interesting. I actually  don't remember it's exact flavor but if I can remember it right, it's something like green tea yogurt. Or some macha yogurt. Okay I've checked it now. It's Yogurt Green Tea. I kind of regret picking that flavor because firstly, I wasn't able to taste the green tea. Secondly, I wasn't able to taste the yogurt. That's just sad you know. Oh and despite choosing the normal level of sweetness, thirdly, I wasn't able to taste the sugar. I was able to taste my cousin's drink and it was actually alright. 


    For some reason, my cousin always picks the safe flavor so good for her. Not always, but I like experimenting with flavors.  


    So next up! This happened probably two days ago, just after my review class. I was like, okay maybe I need to chillax a little bit. So I asked my cousin to go with me and find a place to kind of settle down and just be a potato for a while.


    But that didn't happen. Instead, I asked my cousin to help me write stuff so yeah. But she was like, texting half the time. Boo. LOL. Anyways, we went to a place called Gong Cha by the way. In Cubao. 


    Okay so I got Salted Caramel Tea or is that even the flavor of it? But something close if not that. It was alright. I mean, nothing like Happy Lemon but yeah. It's a little more expensive than Happy Lemon stuff so that makes it a little disappointing. 


     My cousin's drink is Caramel Tea which was okay. As usual. Oh well. Can't wait to try more teas! :) Good vibes!

    How Sweet
    Although life is full of shittery. Wait, what? Just kidding. Really though. There are a LOT of things we should be thankful for. In my previous post, I told you about the Japanese who visited the Philippines. This is what they got me! Yay! My sisters got more than I did but I understand! :) 


    You know, I'm not really good in differentiating chocolates. They all tasted very much the same to me. :))


    You already probably know that I don't like assorted stuff all that much but here's what the inside of the assorted cookies box looks like and I kind of don't know how I feel about them but I absolutely love the one with PISTACHIO! I love love love! The rest was okay but there's a particular cookie that I didn't like. It's the one at the upper right corner. It has sesame seeds and I don't really understand its flavor. Oh I also didn't like the cookie below that sesame cookie but I did finish it thinking I probably should give it a chance but after eating everything, nah, but it's okay. I mean, I'm probably neutral when it comes to it. That's all! :))
