My Cup of Tea

April 11, 2013 0
My Cup of Tea

I don't know what's up with this girl trying to sit in a different place and leaving us behind. Seriously, B? Seriously?

So we took a photo without her. Hahaha

Actually since we went there kind of early, they've just turned on the AC so my sister decided to position herself near the AC unit for her own good. Meanwhile, since it's actually quite bearable, my  other sister and I stayed on the couch.

I got their Blueberry Cheesecake and my sisters got Mango Cheesecake and yeah. Actually, I actually ordered Strawberry but whatever. I order Blueberry almost every time when I was still a Medical Technology Intern so I just thought I'd try the Strawberry. But anyways.

Now, I actually don't know if they really used to look like this because in the laboratory, I really have no time to look at its appearance before sipping it or whatever but yeah. It looks quite unappetizing but it\s actually good. Also, the thingy inside looks more like a Greenberry rather than Blueberry.

Then we asked our other sister to join us because the condition inside is getting better and even though she hesitated at first, she really can't do anything when I ordered her with my "follow my order or else" kind of tone. Haha just kidding. I love my sisters.

Good vibes! :)

Train of Thought. Random Ramblings.

April 08, 2013 0
Train of Thought. Random Ramblings.
As I consider my blog as a PENSIEVE, I have to let things out of my too stretched brain because it can't handle things anymore.

It's SUMMER BREAK and I am bored as hell. So I decided to add up BLOGS to my reading list. And I am still searching for blogs by the way so if you know a blog that you think I might enjoy reading, feel free to recommend or something. Actually, I did search for blogs myself but I didn't really find that much. Sure there are a lot of blogs out there but I found out (just now) that I'm not really that much of a fan of BEAUTY BLOGS. And by beauty, I mean, PURE BEAUTY BLOGS. I know it's not my business but I don't know. I'm not hating of course. But personally (good for me, I know) in the future, I'd rather look at the places I've been or the things I've done than to look at how made up I was or something. Oh well. I say a little bit of everything is nice. You gotta believe me though! I was probably just in a wrong place for search but it was beauty after beauty after beauty. But anyways. I think beauty blogs are good and helpful but yeah. If you're a beauty blogger and offended by this, I didn't mean to offend you, sorry.

I of course want to update everyone that these 2 last Sundays, I failed. I have to do better! I'll improve, I swear.

I also dreamt of ONE DIRECTION yesterday. Basically, what happened was my auntie was scolding one member for having a girlfriend. Serious stuff guys. She was punching the guy and torturing him. Everyone was actually scared and we were just talking about random stuff while the poor guy was being scolded.

Yesterday, I was having an identity crisis because I don't feel quite a Gryffindor for some reason so I took the Pottermore test once again. I found out that I AM INDEED A GRYFFINDOR. Holy cow! My wand is still Sycamore but not with Phoenix Feather anymore. Unicorn Hair now. Oh well.

Harry Potter Tag

April 05, 2013 0
Harry Potter Tag
DEMENTOR PALA HA!
Favorite book

* I actually don't have a favorite book but I have favorite bits from each book so I don't know how that works. But for the sake of answering the question, I think I enjoyed the Prisoner of Azkaban the most. That Peter Pettigrew stuff and all that but I have a love and hate relationship with that book (every book actually) but yeah, just for the sake of having an answer, I'd go with that.

Favorite movie

* I don't really have a favorite movie as well but I think Goblet of Fire was pretty awesome. Pretty the awesome-st I should say.

Least favorite book

* This. As much as I learned not to be judgmental and gather facts instead of opinions, and a lot more in this book (and movie), CHAMBER OF SECRETS is kind of not right. I really hated the part where Dobby caused them a lot if troubles and stuff.

Parts of the books/movies that made you cry

* I don't cry that much in real life scenarios but I am very vulnerable when it comes to movies. If I can remember it right, the first time I cried was when Hagrid gave Harry the photo album containing some pictures that he gathered from some of his parents' friend. And then I cried when the parents of Cedric Diggory accepted the fact that their child is already dead. It wasn't presented very dramatic but I don't know. It's probably just me. The third was when Sirius Black died. I was like, forever in tears. I think I cried when Dumbledore died as well. I cried when Dobby died. I also cried when Fred Weasley died. And I also cried when Snape died and flashed his memories via the PENSIEVE. I cried when Narcissa Malfoy denied Potter's death. I cried when Hagrid was carrying Potter's body. And some time in between those I'm sure.

If you could hook up with any HP character who would it be?

* DRACO MALFOY. Or OLIVER WOOD.

Favorite character

* I like Sirius Black. I don't know why actually besides him being awesome. I also like Bellatrix Lestrange's character. That I really don't know why. "NOT MY DAUGHTER, BITCH."

What would your Patronus be?

* Mmm...I  really think Luna Lovegood's HARE Patronus is gorgeous but I think mine would be either a UNICORN or a PHOENIX.

If you could have the Resurrection Stone, Invisibility Cloak or the Elder Wand which one would you choose?

* INVISIBILITY CLOAK for sure. The Resurrection Stone didn't do much in my opinion and then the Elder Wand is kind of too much for me so I would like to have all of them but if I could only have one, then INVISIBILITY CLOAK. On a not so Harry Potter note, I actually want the power of invisibility to be my secret power. Just saying.

What House would you be in?

* GRYFFINDOR. J.K. Rowling approves. I actually don't mind being in Slytherin as well. I think it's kind of my alter-ego or something something.

IF you could meet any member of the cast who would it be?

* I want them all if possible but I'd say Emma Watson. I really want to meet them all though but whatever.

Have you played any of the video games?

* Nope.

IF you were on the Quiddich team which position would you play?

Seeker. Feelingera eh. Hahaha

Were you happy with the ending?

* I actually wish they showed the house of the kids but I think the ending was brilliant as it is. Oh might be a little greedy but I really wished Potter didn't break the Elder Wand. I mean, it's his after all. It reminds me so much of MEAN GIRLS

How much does Harry Potter mean to you?

* I don't know how to answer this. I mean, it's not like I'm sooooo obsessed with it but things might have been a little different without it. Pretty big deal.

That's it guys! Feel free to answer this tag if you feel like it. I had fun answering them. Good vibes! :)

Graduation Blog!

Graduation Blog!

The call time was 6 am and I woke up at around 4 I guess but I was too tired to move so I kind of rested until it was 5. I then showered, put on my make-up and then my mom was already asking me to go down because we're leaving. And then when we arrived at UST, she was scolding me because my hair is still wet daw. "IKAW LANG ANG GAGRADUATE NA BASA ANG BUHOK." But because the event actually didn't start right away, my hair was perfectly dry when it started.

They had two of each of the tarpaulins which is awesome because at least the graduates wouldn't be queuing  much. If you're confused, good. There's a different tarpaulin with different print and all that.

Me with my sisters! Thanks to them for waking up soooooo early just to attend my graduation and it really means a lot to me because I know how it feels. Not very lovely.

And then they had this UST thing with the PHARMA thing and so you know the deal! MUST TAKE PICTURES!

There's me! To be honest, I was actually bored except when my seatmate and I were talking and when the SUMMA CUM LAUDE gave his speech because that really hit me like nothing else that day.

Then this is the stage where we officially got our degree. I didn't notice the flowers and all that stuff hanging around there but it was pretty nice pala.

That's me after the hooding ceremony. And yeah the ceremony lasted for 6 hours which is no surprise because there were I think 800 graduates from PHARMACY, CLINICAL PHARMACY, BIOCHEMISTRY, AND MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY combined.

I don't know what the heck just happened here but I'm sure I was playing 2FUSE or probably putting the pictures on my phone on collage. Or probably I was sleeping because I remember myself being sleepy. Haha

Okay so after the long marching process and the awesome speech, we PLEDGED and then we sang the UST HYMN for the last time. Well, as a student of course because I will surely sing it in the future pa. That's about it, I guess? Yeah. Yay! Thanks Mr. Tiu for the photos. :)  And to my sisters as well! :)

Oh and this is the SUMMA CUM LAUDE from pharmacy and also the top among the tops in the whole batch giving his speech/reflection which I really like because it's not really generalized unlike the others. He talked about his experiences and thanked his parents, classmates, and friends. And then his mom and dad were crying and I can really see that they're really proud of their son. That's all! :)

It's April!

April 01, 2013 1
It's April!
I know that Graduation only happens once but this is actually my GRADUATION MONTH and I'm really really very happy that COLLEGE IS OVER for me. I survived college! Med school would be a totally different world and I don't know about that yet but while I'm not yet decided, I'm not gonna be so problematic about it.

The first batch of my dedication and stuff. I don't know why I blurred that because you're probably not interested anyways. Pero okay lang. I'm gonna give the privacy my friends deserve. :D So I totally just wrote this awhile ago but it didn't really require me a lot of effort because you know, when you're sincere about what you're writing, you just have to go with the flow of your feels. Much like blogging.

I'm all set for tomorrow's graduation and I am so excited. Oh my inner self is actually very much ready but who's gonna do my make-up? Our call time is actually at 6:00 am and who's gonna do my make-up that early? And because I don't want to do things abruptly, I decided to try on the look I want to pull-off tomorrow.

I would like to call this particular look "I Leave it ALL to you, Michelle Phan." or maybe "Michelle Phan, you Made it ALL Look so Easy" look. I don't want to actually overdo my make-up but I'm not sure I want to look neutral too. I mean, it's not happening everyday and it's not actually gonna happen anytime soon so I want tomorrow to be at least memorable. At least.

Oh and I also had my nails done and yeah, quite matchy-matchy with the dress that I would be wearing for tomorrow bur whatevs. So yeah, that's all I have to say for this one. I'm so excited for tomorrow. Hopefully everything would turn out fine because we hella didn't practice anything. So yeah, hope it's all good and hopefully you guys weren't fooled big time today and everything. That's all! :))

Umi no Koen. A Look Back.

March 30, 2013 0
Umi no Koen. A Look Back.
Located near Sea Paradise, this place is a good place to catch sea shells and if lucky, some other stuff.  I actually remember people collecting sea weeds as well. We usually add our gathered shells to our miso soup at night. Which would rather give us a sandy soup but since we're all proud that we were the one who caught it, we don't mind eating it. At all. It's fresh so it's really different than your any other miso soup but yeah, you just have to be careful not to ingest the sandy residue.

Can we just altogether appreciate's my sister's effort because she thought my mom was taking her picture? Okay, thanks! :D Also, let's just look at my other sister on the right side of the picture because not a single eff was given.

Also, can we altogether appreciate how my sister over here screened the pile of dirt and look for sea shells? Also, me holding a rake is just awesome.

Can I just say that everytime we go here, I actually secretly wish we would go straight to SEA PARADISE. That didn't happen. EVER. Pero carry lang. Sanayan lang yan eh. LOL.

Can I just share a story? Yup. I think it was my youngest sister but it's not necessarily this trip but we place our gathered shells in that basin looking thing, right? She said she saw something and so I gave the basin to her and it's kind of already filled in and she accidentally freed the sea shells in the water and so we had to start over. Oh well.

We usually just change our shorts because mom would always remind us not to wet our T-shirts but I  can't remember who among the two pushed me so yeah. Mom actually didn't bring a shirt for me because you know! So since it was still cold during that time, dad removed his undershirt and offered it to me. Yun lang. Oh and we usually bring snacks because mom and dad actually just sit and don't help us at all so they have to have somewhere to sit on plus! They have to have something to eat. :D

Caleruega Photos! A Look Back (Sort of)

Caleruega Photos! A Look Back (Sort of)
Most of the pictures are pictures from my friends who are in the pictures as well. Thank you guys! For making me feel sentimental a little bit. These just have to be in my blog. LOL. I just miss everything.

This is during one of our stop overs. I don't understand this picture very much but I look happy. Which is always nice.

My friend and I was taking pictures of people who were apparently taking pictures of us too. I don't own this photo but I'm glad this exists. You know, I know a person that takes a lot of pictures like, non-stop and he mentioned once that it's kind of not nice to take pictures of people who are prepared to have their picture taken all the time because what would they do? SMILE? Yup! But only for the camera. It's nice to take pictures of moments like this too. CANDID. And now the not so candid photo: LOL.

FRIENDS!

People I met during my internship and people I won't forget for like, forever. They're just awesome. They're like my groupmates during my first internship as well so we're always like, together and you know! Just being awesome together.

Even though it's already night time already, and raining at some point, we still wandered and just talk about everything under the sun. Or what? Haha

We were actually told to go back to our rooms at 10 because they will be closing the lights already and because it was raining really really hard, the power source in the city was out originally and that they were running everything with their power generator. And we were like, okay, we still got time. Somehow.

Then the next day, even though it rained a little bit harder, we can't be stopped. People just can't discourage us, you know! Because I remember someone warned us that we can't pass thru this area because it's dang muddy and all that. But VOILA! That's all! :)

LOL

How Sweet

How Sweet
Although life is full of shittery. Wait, what? Just kidding. Really though. There are a LOT of things we should be thankful for. In my previous post, I told you about the Japanese who visited the Philippines. This is what they got me! Yay! My sisters got more than I did but I understand! :)

You know, I'm not really good in differentiating chocolates. They all tasted very much the same to me. :))

You already probably know that I don't like assorted stuff all that much but here's what the inside of the assorted cookies box looks like and I kind of don't know how I feel about them but I absolutely love the one with PISTACHIO! I love love love! The rest was okay but there's a particular cookie that I didn't like. It's the one at the upper right corner. It has sesame seeds and I don't really understand its flavor. Oh I also didn't like the cookie below that sesame cookie but I did finish it thinking I probably should give it a chance but after eating everything, nah, but it's okay. I mean, I'm probably neutral when it comes to it. That's all! :))

Shop Until You Drop

March 27, 2013 0
Shop Until You Drop
A few days ago, I went with my mom and cousin to sort of accompany/entertain a couple with their granddaughter that is far related to dad. We accompany the woman and the child to go shop for souvenirs they would be giving away to their family members and to some of their friends. If what we did isn't tiring, then I don't know what is. The woman was really picky and would really consider everything before buying stuff. Like, she would consider whether or not the item would fit the person or like if the item would match their style or whatnot. Also, when we were on that souvenir-souvenir stuff, the woman would actually ask questions like the history shizz. Because there were like mini figurines of like, the "katutubos". Unlike mom who would actually just pick random stuff and decide on the spot. LOL. So after that tiring shopping activity we had, we decided to have something to at least replenish our lost energy.

Banoffee Pie and Green Tea Pie! I love! I don't know exactly why we didn't eat something heavy because I was dang tired but yeah, dessert comes first! :)

We then went back to Pan Pacific to load off the shopping bags and all that. Haggard faces for the win! Since it rained really hard, the Luneta Park and Intramuros trip was cancelled and clearly, we don't have business to do there anymore (according to mom) we just decided to go back to the mall.

And then we went back to the mall to eat. LOL. We decided to try the new stuff from KFC which is not worth the hype, really. Not actually bad but it's just not.. I don't know.

All in all though, I enjoyed that day and I was really happy that we were able to accompany them here in the Philippines and I really enjoyed playing with MOMO chan. Such a sweetheart! :) That's all!
