Dinner for one

March 13, 2015 1
Dinner for one

I have been living in Japan for 11 months now. I'm almost used to eating alone which is great but then kinda sad too but that's not the point. Sometimes I just think of it as a blessing because not all people can eat outside.

Yesterday, I went to Tokyo to look for something and I actually planned to eat there but since it's already late, and it's rush hour, almost all the places were full and so I decided to eat at my station's Saizeriya.

This is what I ended up with. Lately, I've been craving for rice. I tried to avoid eating rice for a while (a week). Then vaguely, I ordered hamburger. Like, before, I used to really like hamburger steaks but then I realize that I am more into the real steak but yeah sometimes it's good to turn back.

I really enjoyed my meal. See yah!

Beating the Heat!

Beating the Heat!
First things first! Three months in Japan now! Okay next. LOL. It's almost summer here and I can't help but be thankful I don't work in the afternoon or else! I'm just so glad I don't have to deal with the nasty weather. Well except the rain! I don't like it.

Recently, I went out alone to eat. Not like in a restaurant or something (will definitely try that!) but like in a mini stand bar or yeah. Also, I wore that shirt from the Philippines with pride! Apparently, that's the only loose shirt I have. That's another reason I wore it. Can't wear skimpy clothes on a nasty weather like that.

Anyways. I had Takoyaki and Mango Juice. The MJ was kind of expensive. I should have just gotten myself a Starbucks. Grande pa! Inis. Anyways, it was still kinda worth it because I went out on a very sunny afternoon so I was quite happy. The Takoyaki isn't that good. But I like it anyway.

I used to really really really like these. I guess sometimes things really does change. LOL. I still dig the grilled one but I haven't really got in to liking the one with soy sauce. I don't know why people like it. It's like a weird combination of sweet and salty. Me no likey. I didn't buy because I prefer them grilling it on the spot. Am I asking too much for 90 yen? Yes.

You know selecting what ice cream to buy is kind of fun in Japan. There's just too many choices!!! Even weird ones! Will probably try and feature some! And I'm already grossed out. Moving right along!

I bought this because I saw Hidemi eating this enjoyably. Nope! Not really good!! Am I asking too much for its price? Yes. But then again it did its job of icing me up. Whut?

This made me happy though! As you can see, it was a really hot day.

A shot of Sagamihara Station. As you can see, it was. Which sucks because first, I forgot my umbrella inside my locker so I have to share with a friend and second, I forgot my umbrella inside my locker so I didn't have anything to use later that day when I went to work. Great! Also, I forgot my e-ticket inside my locker so I had to pay for my fare! Not wise. Ugh! So stupid you know. It's actually because I have to hurry or else the bus might not have available seats. I feel like a ninja, really! That's all! See yah!

One Month in Japan!!

April 30, 2014 0
One Month in Japan!!
It's not like this month has been ultra productive but you know, I'm just so thankful that my host family (mom's friend) has been very generous and kind so Imma blog anyways. Wait, what? Ano daw? Okay nalang.

The Yakinuku by the way was so yums and kinda cheap basing it from the Japanese cost of living. For 980 yen, you get that meat platter, a salad ,a bowl of soup, and a tiny bit of super yummy vanilla soft cream at the end. Also you can request for extra rice anytime! :)

Seventeen Ice! I don't know if it's really just me but I think that their ice creams are so yummers! I don't like the fact that they raised their price from 110 yen to 130 though. And they do have new ice creams that are 160 yen. The one in cone is 160 but it was worth the price I guess. It's quite yummy!

Even though it rained when I visited the park, which you can also read about on this blog, I still ate ice cream!! You know, just like how I like to drink hot coffee on a hot afternoon. Me likey.

Yesterday, Hidemi and I baked cakes! It's  not like we're professional bakers or something but you know, we can get by it and have something edible at the end. But since we lack sugar, you know! But we had fun doing it and at the end of the day, it's the only that matters! But also not waste ingredients so eat your mistake LOL. We were so idle so we baked Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Bits and Banana Cake. Then we made Nama Chocolate which I think was the best! :)

Today, it rained the whole day! Bummers! It was very well predicted yesterday though so I was feeling a little gloomy since yesterday. The wind was also so strong that leaves were literally shaken off their stems. Will accompany tita to run some errands today but for us to stay safe, I am now blogging inside a Pachinko Slot building where there's free wi-fi and currently, my mom's friend is playing for her life. Shouldn't be she running some errands? I don't know too. By the way it's not today that I'd be here for 1 month. Tomorrow though! See yah! :)

Useless Realization

April 12, 2014 0
Useless Realization

I went to the game center with Hidemi yet again and as much as I love game centers and all that stuff, I feel like the money played can be spent on something else. Something more finite. But anyways. I actually feel like I would play like crazy when I start work because of probably stress or boredom. But that's not my realization. Anyways, we were supposed to open a bank account but it was already closed when we went so yeah bad luck. Will try again on Monday.

So they were announcing something right? I was so busy playing and asked Demi about it and she was like, it doesn't matter! We're already grandmas LOL. Okay so I then realized that there were only adults left and apparently there's a curfew going on that doesn't allow children to play beyond what? 5 or 6 pm? I can't recall but yeah that's the story of it. I guess it's a pretty dope rule and I guess that would actually benefit everyone. Except probably the game center itself.

Here's our breakfast/lunch today. Well I actually had bread and coffee for breakfast but yeah. Demi cooked the egg and I cooked the sausage. Fair enough. Although she did almost everything. Thanks friend.

So yeah life in Japan is not always fabulous, sakura, sushi, and ramen. I realized that Japan is a country and Japanese are people too. K.

Despedida Party by the Bay
Hi guys! I just want to share what happened yesterday because it is so memorable in its own way that I can't not share it. Yesterday, I sort of celebrated my departure and yeah.

beautiful sunny day
my loves
We went to Mall of Asia because hey, it's my last chance to watch the sun set up close and by now, I'm sure we've already established my love for sunset and so yeah perfect!! But first, we went to church to say our little prayers. I prayed for my and my family's safety.

mahangin

We strolled and we were thinking whether or not to ride the Dream Twister and indeed we decided to ride the monster!

Okay so the story is that the three of us were supposed to ride the thing because for the record! It was my bestfriend who asked us all to ride this but she backed out last minute! It was so frustrating but I was like, if not now, when? HA!

nervous

I do not recommend this if you're scared or even not scared of rides. I mean, I actually don't have a problem with rides and man this ride is a killer! But if you're up for it, I guess just go for it. The highlight of the ride was definitely the priceless view of the sunset. Like, it was magical! Even though I felt like I was gonna fall and die, I think the sunset made the ride worth my 100 pesos.

Then we dined in. As recommended by my best friend, we went to a place where we haven't been before.

forever friends

The last thing we did was we went to Timezone (this crazy thing happened) and called it a night. It was such a wonderful feeling to be with friends. I wouldn't know what to do if I had to face it alone. Thank you friends! Until we see each other again.

Playing Catch Up with my Friends

March 24, 2014 2
Playing Catch Up with my Friends
Last Friday, my friends from Internship and I met up for dinner. And as usual, talked about stuff. It was really nice meeting and catching up with them. Like, it's been really nice.

I know I usually categorize my friends but I really do not think of being more friends with my other friends or something. I just want to appreciate how it all started you know.

JUST CHECKIN THE HAIR LOL
Over at Facebook, we actually tried to figure out where to eat and we were choosing between Conti's and Banapple. We chose Banapple. So as usual, we talked about life in general. It was awesome. I pointed out that we were really different back then. We didn't have much outlook and things to look after to and stuff. Now that we were out, it's just awesome. But hard.

My friend K changed quite a bit and was able to down this whole stuff! Way back internship, she would probably just touch the sides but I'm really proud of her.

Another friend K, ordered this. The only girl who didn't have rice.

And then I got Cream Dory. I also shared my experience with the corn last time and yeah the corn was so-so that time and so yeah.

I had Strawberry Cheesecake. If you're a fan of cheesecake,  this is nice because it's a compact kind of cheesecake. Like, I hate it when it's not like that. Although I still prefer Blueberry Cheesecake over this but that'll do. But I still think their Bannoffee is the winner.

It'll be quite a while before we meet each other. K would probably be a model/beauty queen that time and my another friend K would probably be a med student or maybe a doctor that time even. But I can't wait. Thanks.

Banapple SM North
Hola guys! I just wanna share! On Christmas day, after we attended a mass at Our Lady of Hope and then we went to SM North and had lunch.

Momma orderin'
Mari
Mika and Mama
yummy cakes! :)

I don't know if it's just me but their Pasta Verde was dry as eff. I finished it though because it's in my nature to finish food but yeah. Also! Well my sister, grandma, and mom ordered a rice meal which comes with a corn side dish and it was sour! Spoiled obvi so my mom informed the waitress and she was just like "talaga ma'am" and I was like, WTF? Ano to chikahan lang? It was not a good experience but thanks to the cakes that somehow brightened my mood.

Everyday Cheers!

December 14, 2013 2
Everyday Cheers!

I look very pale nowadays. But that's besides the point. Hello there guys.

Recently, I got a recommendation from my sister about this tea place near her school. Well my previous school too to be proper. She said it's pretty nice and somehow hidden. That I like for sure. First thing she recommended me is their Smores! I have been looking for a place that serves this for so long and I'm just lucky to be able to find one.

SMORES <3

It's a pretty small piece for what it's worth I think but whatever. It's quite good. Not good as in GOOD but uhm good enough. And also, not that expensive actually.

My cousin who doesn't really like marshmallows enjoyed it too. So that's nice.

Oh I'm pretty disappointed with their teas though. We both had something from the Rock Salt but yeah it was such a disappointment at some point. I mean, not really that good. Not even average kind of.

My cousin got the Dark Chocolate and I got their Wintermelon tea. I wouldn't recommend either of it.

What I liked though is their Waffle. Blueberry Cream Cheese to be exact. Will review more flavors soon but yeah definitely try this out if you may.

Their fries is okay and they serve it i this mason jar kind of thing and yeah nice one. I think it's pretty small for the price though. Anyways. That's all I have for you guys. See yah!
