Tinapayan.

February 12, 2013 0
Tinapayan.

This bakeshop is near UST but I didn't get a chance to taste anything from them before. Until last Friday. My friend actually recommended the place. She asked us randomly if we know the place and one of my co-interns answered "of course" and then my other co-intern and I was like, "what?" "where?" and all that. And then they were like, you'll be graduating already but you still haven't tried the breads there? And we were like, yeah. Hahaha so last Friday, after duty, and when I run some errands near UST, I was like, okay Imma go that Tinapayan place to try some breads.

My friend particularly recommended Cream Puffs, Eclairs, and Bee Hive. Unfortunately, Eclairs is not available that time but I still managed to get some!

I'm not really a fan of Cream Puffs because you know, I don't like how soft it is and all that. My sisters and dad like this stuff but you know, there's no harm in trying so I thought I'd give it one more try. Okay so unlike in Japan, the serving is quite small. More like a bite-size which I appreciate. Less hassle, and all that.

Awesome! The only thing I don't like about it is that it is coated with candy. Like, caramelized sugar that's like left alone so it's kind of hard. Not a fan. I used to really like that though. Okay so it was awesome. Like, it was really good. Except the caramel top. I don't know.

The Bee Hive was also good. I like how it's not too sweet. I don't have a close up picture of Bee Hive. Sorry. Next time! Probably. But that's that chocolate thingy you can see from the second picture above. :)

This taste like Shu Cream more than the Cream Puffs so I'm not really a fan of this. But good to try. Might be your type. It's not that kind of type that I think nobody would like. Get what I mean?

Pharmacy Weeks. A Look Back.

Pharmacy Weeks. A Look Back.
Thanks to my college friends for the pictures. They probably wouldn't know that I stole their pictures but thanks! :)) I owe it to you guys.

Pharmacy week is celebrated annually and we actually don't have a choice but to participate. Well, most of the time. So here are some pictures I could share with you guys. Enjoy! :)

Well this is like, a last minute chore for us to do and well made an effort in doing that diamond thing above our heads.

And as for our family picture...

And then the next year, this happened.

Made a giant hand to actually be able to portray certain stuff.

Made a giant counting chamber and giant microscope. Also, some giant red cells!

Also made a giant syringe. Haha

That's all! I miss everyone.

Paskuhan 2012.

Paskuhan 2012.
Guess what? If you can remember, or did I even tell you? I actually forgot to charge my camera last Pasukan (2011). And then I promised myself that I'm not gonna make the same mistake again. I then charged my batteries and all that and then when I first opened the camera, NO MEMORY CARD INSERTED. WTF? Talk about luck. Like, what the fudge. So what did I do?

All thanks to my iPhone.

So that's what happened. Anyways. Good thing my cousin brought her camera so yeah. All is good.

It's actually quite unlucky for me because I kind of wanted to be in front but like, this is the best spot we can find. And it's even that near. But I must say that this spot is the nearest spot we could get so whatever.

This is us. Like, only the three of us this time. Our other friend should also be with us but she wasn't able to find us so whatever.

Sister is happy. LOL.

She was actually bored and just got excited when the much anticipated FIREWORKS DISPLAY happened. And then got bored and just got excited when SPONGE COLA performed.

I decided to introduce them to my new favorite street food. DYNAMITE. My cousin liked it. My sister, not much. But whatever. She doesn't like a whole lot of food anyways.

Another sister and I photo.

The ever blurry but happy picture of my cousin and I. Oh wells. That's life.

I actually insisted that we should like take pictures here because the lights are so gorge. Okay now for my feels. I actually enjoyed it. And probably just like my sister's, I have to thank the FIREWORKS and SPONGE COLA for uplifting my spirit. Because I was kind of bored a little bit. But anyways overall, it was fun. This is probably gonna be my last Paskuhan for quite a while and yeah, I'm just so happy that I made the most out of it. Or at least I can say that.

Paskuhan Tips 101.

December 20, 2012 1
Paskuhan Tips 101.

I can't believe that it's like tomorrow already. I don't know know what its gonna be about but most likely Christmas, yeah? Hahaha but I know for sure that it's gonna be fun. Like, a whole lot of fun. For sure.

But it can't always be magical and wonderful because you know. Things happen. Here are some tips/DOs/DON'Ts and just about whatever I could think of for this moment to be wonderful.

If you're a Thomasian, you probably know what to expect. So these guides are probably for Freshmen/Outsiders.

1. Bring your I.D.

- Like, seriously. It'll be like a FastPass to Disney Land or something. Because those who don't have someone to bring them inside the university or probably can't contact their Thomasian friend would like queue and actually block the gate so if you don't bring your Thomasian I.D., that's gonna be your luck. More or less.

2. Bring something to sit on.

- Old newspapers, blankets, mats, whatever. It's gonna be your sanctuary for the whole night so yeah.

3. Don't expect to be able to use your phone to send texts or to be able to call.

- Nope. Unless you're lucky.

4. Please do not litter.

- Like, please understand that we (Thomasians) somehow actually paid for the event to happen and it's so mean of you guys to actually throw your rubbish anywhere you want. Isa bang malaking park ang UST? Hindi. Thanks.

5. Don't bring your car. Just carpool.

- So that we can avoid traffic. :))

Performance!

December 18, 2012 1
Performance!
So we had our hospital Christmas Party last Friday and part of the program was like, a performance from each laboratory section. Our theme was DANCE DANCE DANCE so I guess it wouldn't be hard to guess what we did. Because one criteria for winning is actually relevance to the theme. Whatever. LOL.

Kim and I haha. We actually performed first so I really ate as fast I could just so you know. I don't know.

Food was actually great. Like, we had LECHON, some pork, chicken, and rice. Too bad I wasn't able to eat deserts. Like, every group actually brought something for desert and I believe ours brought cupcakes but after our performance, we actually extracted blood from patients upstairs already so whatever.

Thanks to a friend who actually took the pictures above. Like, he's not from our hospital but visited us anyways. And if you can recognize that guy on the first picture, yup! My previous post mate from my first internship. Not from my hospital now as well. Hahaha

Our group in action. Like, aren't we cute? Yup! We are. Hahaha just kidding.

This is my post mates. Like, I'm so proud of us really. We really did a good job.

We actually didn't win first place but it's really good to know that people enjoyed our performance and even the winning group was actually shocked that we didn't win. Right before our performance, we actually said that even if we loose, we should still be happy because we had fun dancing and practicing and all that. So yeah.

More Community.

December 16, 2012 0
More Community.
These are just pictures from our latest community trip which I've learned a lot from. Like, not directly. But you know, sometimes, we have to really reflect and see things differently for us to actually learn. It's not always like in the uni or school or any learning institutes you know. We learn from our own experiences too.

Unlike before, this community trip is actually sponsored and so we were able to rent buses and all that for the trip. If you can remember, we actually just rented a jeepney on our first field work.

Another picture before actually setting off.

This is how the community looks like. I guess we were lucky because it didn't rain and all that and with the existing condition of the community, I think we wouldn't actually like the rain very much.

For some reason, we were really happy LOL. Say hi to my partner.

A picture of me inside the maze like path that our preceptor was talking about prior to the deployment. It was really really dark and I can't imagine how people live their lives there but it was fun. Like, fun learning experience.

Say hi to my Korean friend slash co-intern. :))

Me interviewing a family in action! :)

Finalizing the work.

Happy because we finished work earlier than last time. :))
