Frozen II

Frozen II

So we actually didn’t watch with my mom nor did we watch on the day this picture was taken. Can I just say that it was probably the most insane cinema showing that I have encountered so far. Like, 4 cinemas were showing the movie and we were only able to watch it late at night because they don’t have seats available for the next two showing time.

My shadow be like the HULK. Anyways, Frozen 2! This is actually a very late review because we watched it on the first week of its release. I’m sorry. I actually was conflicted whether or not I’m gonna review this movie because...But! I actually really liked the movie. I think I may actually like this better than the last one. At least Anna is not as stupid in this one. Or not stupid at all. She redeemed herself here kind of.

I like the back story and all! I don’t know if it’s just me or what but I feel like the older I get, the easier movies seem to be. Like, been there done that moments. When I was younger and naive, drama seems to be a little bizarre because come on, what do we know about that, yeah?  Can I just say how ELSA’s glow up is soo lit? I liked the transformation and the hair and all!!

Queen Anna of Arendelle’s glow up though and her NEXT RIGHT THING number. I guess it really teaches kids to be more proper and just do the next right thing duh. I like how Anna is still Anna but wiser. That’s all I have to say.

Safe Haven Troubles

May 27, 2013 0
Safe Haven Troubles
I was kind of hesitant to watch Safe Haven because I was thinking, I'm not really ready for heavy drama or something because I'm keener in watching travel related films as of the moment and this I downloaded (illegally) because I've heard quite a lot of good things about it. Michelle Phan's review is one. I also read reviews online and even though I was not ready for a heavy film, I watched it anyways. Just to get over it. There were quite a lot of bad reviews saying it's a bad movie with bad actors and stuff but actually, I kind of liked it. Okay let's just put it out there! For some reason, I always see something good in a movie or like everything but whatever. Except probably the movie When in Rome. Okay, maybe the Rome part was okay.

I don't think I'm spoiling the movie because it's been out for a while now so here it goes. The movie started like it's some sort of a horror story which confused me a little bit. I didn't like it. I  was like, ME NO LIKEY HEAVY DRAMA THIS TIME MORE SO HORROR! This movie is about a girl named Erin or Katie who's married to an alcoholic police officer named Kevin who she unintentionally stabbed because she was trying to defend herself from this drunkard so yeah. After she stabbed the guy, she decided to leave and she went to a small town. I think there's a little difference when it comes to the place between the book and the movie but it doesn't matter.

The bus stopped over a convenience store which is owned by a fine man named Alex with apparently two kids. The story is that his wife died of cancer so he's taking care of his two kids. Just saying. Okay and then for some reason, this Katie decided not to go back up the bus anymore and just stayed there. She entered a kind of little restaurant and then she asked if they need a hand or something and then she got hired. She also found a place to stay and then that's pretty much what she needed, yeah? After some time, she found a girl outside her place named Jo and then she was a little bit skeptical at first but they became friends anyway. And then she was giving Katie advice and stuff like that. So okay. Whatever.

You're probably wondering why is there a drawing of a camera at the beginning. Well the reason is, there's this one scene where the family went to the beach and then Alex's son didn't want his pictures taken and asked why he's kept taking pictures and then Alex was like, I want to remember this moment. And then his son said try to remember what's out of the camera. And I was like, STOP RIGHT THERE YOUNG MAN. Even the greatest wizard of them all needs a Pensieve so you can just stop right there kid. Just kidding. So yeah. And with that being said, must take more pictures from now on!

Okay so Alex and Katie kind of fell in love which is probably the predictable part and then on the later part, Alex found out that Katie is a wander murdered and that her real name is Erin and then he immediately asked her to leave. Katie then thought that it's really the best thing to do and just packed her things and there's this friend Jo who asked her not to and to figure things out but she disregarded that and proceeded with her plan to leave. Okay so then Alex followed her and told her not to leave anymore which in reality would make me angry because that's like wasting energy and resources. I'm just saying. So yeah that happened.

And then on the Fourth of July, this drunkard was able to reach the town where Katie is and can I just say that I was impressed by this guy's determination but nothing else. So when he reached the town, he searched here and there and then he found where Katie lived and because Katie didn't want to return to him she asked him to leave! When he returned, he poured gasoline everywhere and then because they're having a Firework show and stuff, it somehow hit that gasoline spot and then the house was lit on fire. Good thing Alex saw it and he was able to return and rescue his daughter who Katie asked to stay upstairs right away when Alex left because she's obviously aware what her husband is capable of. So when the daughter was saved, Katie was able to shot Alex and again it was because she was trying to protect herself.

So Alex was able to save some things from that fire incident and then he gave her a letter addressed TO HER and it somehow moved me. Basically, it said something like take care of her family and help her daughter on her wedding day and stuff like that and then, there's a photo included in that which is like the twist because the friend she met there which is Jo is the same person as the deceased wife of Alex. I already expected that because I searched, right? But it was still a turning point and somehow still shocking. Or moving.

I don't think that it is a shabby movie or something because I like the story. In real life, we're not perfect actors and actresses because you know how they sometimes exaggerate normal life scenario on films right? That's not what you call good, people. I think it was quite believable but not rubbish at all. I like the twist that happened. I mean, I would probably freak out if I found out that I was talking to a dead person all through out but I like it. I like how family oriented the film is and you know. I think it's rare though to see a man like that and I think it might be a little too fictional or probably it's just me but I actually admire that kind of character. As of my favorite character, I think Jo is my favorite character. She's very thoughtful and lovable and I think she gave me an idea of writing letters to certain people when time comes. I don't know. Try to watch it guys. I mean, if you're into family oriented films, this is nice. That's all I have to say.

Who's Hungry? Hunger Games.

Who's Hungry? Hunger Games.
I actually don't quite get the whole idea of Hunger Games but good thing I was able to pick up some valuable lessons that I thought I'd share with you guys. I haven't read the books so this one is based on the movie alone.

Can I just say that Effie Trinket is my favorite character. If not Rue. I like how colorful she dresses and I don't know what's with her that I like but yeah. Now the reason I like Rue is because she's such a sweetheart. If I would be there in the game, I may not be able to kill my opponents intentionally but I don't think I would help them either. I would probably be friends with the guy from my district but the rule is that there could only be one victor so I don't know about that either. I HAVE TO WIN!

My sister's dilemma: Why is Prim's hair lighter? (NO IDEA)

Okay to the lessons. I was touched when Katniss volunteered to be a tribute as her sister's replacement. Just because it's such a stupid game, a child's precious life is not worth sacrificing, you know. It's such a brave act. And I was impressed. I don't know if I would able to do the same to my sisters though. I wouldn't want them to join if I could help it. Especially my sister Mika who screams a lot for little reasons nowadays. She would be a giveaway. I also appreciate when Rue's brother kind of payed respect to Katniss (somehow) by not killing her even if he could already. He's considerate like that, you know!

Oh I can actually imagine Primrose and Rue being BFFs. Weird. I was also a little bit disgusted by Peeta's mom for not believing in his son. Boo yah!

It's kind of vague that Hunger Games the movie didn't show hungry people and people that died from actual hunger. They're more like killing each other so I don't really see the point why it's called Hunger Games. I think it was mentioned in the movie once that they should just let Katniss starve and then they could easily kill her but people dying from actual hunger, nah.

You know what this movie reminds me of? SURVIVOR SERIES with killing involved. Because in Survivor, a cast would be eliminated if there would be enough people to vote him or her off, right? And how would that happen? Effing alliances and stuff. So yeah. Quite comparable. That's all I have to say. I'll probably read the book to be entertained and who knows? Maybe I would be able to understand everything a little better but I doubt.
HAPPY HUNGER GAMES!

Attraversiamo.

Attraversiamo.
Let's cross over. I don't know what that means. Probably to travel or whatever. You probably watched that film already. Eat Pray Love. I just did. Now that I have time to watch movies, I'll try my best to catch up. For some reason, I really find learning any European language difficult. I was about to put Abercrombie as a title. Anyways.

I was battling whether I should watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (potterhead!) or Eat Pray Love yesterday. I watched Goblet of Fire probably twice but Eat Pray Love, I haven't (yesterday) so I settled for that. I haven't read the book or anything but I plan to. Hopefully soon.

I liked the film. It kind of reflects reality. Well its not that I like reality or whatsoever but I like that it's not very fictional. You know what I mean? You feel me? So it all started with this couple who can't seem to have the same outlook on life. Liz got an attorney, wanted a divorce, got it, and voila! I just want to comment on what happened. I kind of pity the guy because he believed that it'll still work out. I guess it's Liz's fault for giving up too easily (at least in the movie). Proof is that the guy didn't sign the divorce paper right away. Although he was presented to be childish on screen but still, he reasoned out and didn't want a divorce. Not interested was the term used.

And then there's this another guy who Liz had an eye contact with during a play and then they kind of lived together, I don't know how long. And then this guy, influenced Liz to pray. I don't mean to offend anyone by not knowing but the person they're praying to was introduced as a Guru. Or maybe I missed it. Not really good with names if you can't tell it yet. Anyways. Liz was not happy any more, there's no more passion, they're fighting over things already, and that happened.

Liz then planned a trip for herself to find her "balance". She said she'll go to Italy (Rome), India, and Indonesia (Bali) respectively. Because in the beginning of the film, Liz went to Ketut (a healer) in Bali and I think it was her fate or something like that. I don't know. I guess it's a good point. Doing something to actually make your "fate" a reality. I've talked about it a lot so whatevs. So then right before she go about her travels, Liz got a call from her attorney and said that her husband signed the divorce thingy already. So we now go to ROME!

Les Miserables! :) Movie Time.

January 19, 2013 1
Les Miserables! :) Movie Time.
So I watched the movie with my cousin after I had a long day of duty. We watched at SM San Lazaro which is the closest we can get and it's just so convenient to watch there. Even though like, we can go further and have a little more fun, convenience is still the key to everything. Or I was just probably tired from my duty. Anyways.

I actually haven't read the whole book. Way back high school though, I was able to read an excerpt like, as a requirement for my English class and that's it pretty much. If you haven't read the book, I don't think you would enjoy the movie less so GO FOR IT!

Can I just say that I really really loved Anne Hathaway's version of "I Dreamed a Dream"? Like, it's so awesome that I can't even.

Can I just say that I love these two? LOL. Just saying.

Okay enough of the screen shots! Thanks to the Internet for these pictures! Okay one more!

I definitely recommend it! But before doing so, I would like to give you these tips for better watching. These aren't mine but I kind of followed most of it so I thought I would share these with you.

The Day I Fan Girled.

November 21, 2012 1
The Day I Fan Girled.

So after we watched the movie, my cousin and I decided to snap photos with the posters and stuff of the movie just so we could have a remembrance with it or something. You know! Fan girls. Bear with us please. LOL.

I actually think I wouldn't probably took a picture with this thing if I didn't like the movie but since I kind of did, this happened.

There were even people taking pictures before us but yeah didn't mind waiting for them to finish and fan-girl like us LOL.

Looking at the poster though, I just noticed that it's kind of deceiving because it wasn't really the human Jacob who fought or whatever but yeah whatever. Same difference.

So yeah and even though some people looked and stuff, not a single eff was given. LOL.

I should have took a picture with all three of them but I don't know what happened. I'm wondering if they have the same posters for every cinema though. Mmm...

If you haven't seen my thoughts or whatever, you can click HERE and see what I have to say about the whole situation. Alright?
