    Can I just say? Like, man Sakura and snacks are two of my favorite things. 










    Sakura flavored Starbucks drink. It was yummy! Although I completely forgot that 










    Gummy! Also recently one of my favorite snacks to have. To be honest though, this is not the best gummy I had. But oh well. 










    This though! So good! 










    Found this gummy later. 










    It has sour powder which is soo nice of a contrast to the sweet gummy.

    My Top Japanese Snacks






    Childhood favourite snacks. They say change is good but boy, not for snacks I think. These are legit good by the way! :) Leggo! 





    1. Nori Potato Chips 





    The OG! Back in my day, there are only two variants. The other one is the salted chips in orange bag but even then I liked this better. I actually like this better than any chips out in the market right now. And man there are way sooo many!! 





    2. Chocolate Chou Cream 





    Man, this brings back so many good memories! Hidemi and I used to devour this!! I don't even like the real deal chou cream. You know, it's the consistency of it that I am not a fan of but this one is actually good! Well mainly because this is more like the junk food version but whatever. 





    3. Galbo





    I'm not a fan of chocolate on its own but if it's with wafer or something, I'm all for it! This one is my favorite of its kind. It's actually the mini version of what I used to eat growing up. It's totally the same but the original packaging is more of my thing. This mini version takes off the joy of opening individual packets containing the chocolate stick. Anyways! Still good though!





    4. Takenoko no Sato





    Also something that brings back good memories! Also something Hidemi and I used to feast on. This one is not even that good (good enough tho) but I still eat this once in a while just because it has pensieve-y effect on me. 





    5. Almond Chocolate





    Yas! Classic! Also something I am all for are nuts covered chocolates! Sooo genius! 





    Life (snacking) is a little bit more complicated now. There are just a lot of flavors out to choose from. Back in my day, it's just one or two. Now, they give you 10! I may be exaggerating but you get the point, aye? I'm not complaining though! You know, I actually notice myself clinging back to what I'm used to every now and then. Sure I try new stuff and all but man, I guess it's hard to beat the OG. I mean they lasted more than 2 decades (according to my calendar coz I'm 25 and not in the mood to research but is keen to type! lol) for a reason, yeah? That would be all!

    Calbee Curry Chips

    Calbee Curry Chips
    They nailed it. OMG I thought it will be another lame product but this line was actually good. But you know, still don't get why they're constantly releasing lotsa flavors. Back in my time, it's just original and nori. And it was okay. Now, it's all confusing what to get. Anyways. 


    Can't really choose which I like better but I really enjoyed both flavors. They both have their signature. 


    This one is kind of spicy but tolerable. It's a delicious curry flavor actually. I'm kind of tired of fake tasting flavors of chips but this one is legit. It really taste like you're eating your regular KARE so to speak. 


    This one though! It's more hot than it is spicy but I still like it. This actually reminds me of when I had dinner with my friend Maya at this Indian/Nepali restaurant. Both of this I recommend. Man, it was good. Ciao!

    New Calbee Potato Chips.

    Huge fan of potato chips. In fact, it's my guilty pleasure. Sometimes even though I don't feel like eating the whole bag, I do! Just because. It's a problem. Anyways.


    Calbee is my favorite potato chips brand and they do come up with new flavors a lot but I feel like that they're doubling up this time for some reason. Coming up with flavors week after week. 

    Ume
    Shio
    Wasabi

     Needless to say, Wasabi is my least favorite. Shio is okay. Ume is good. I probably won't buy anything from this line though but it's not totally a disaster. 

    Garlic Soy Sauce

    Not really a fan but generally a good flavor and I did enjoy actually.

    Sour and Cream

    What could go wrong with good old sour and cream, right? This was awesome. Not quite remarkable though but it was delish. Anyways, ciao!

    Tropical Pockys

    I have seen these lately and even though I don't like the flavors, I thought I'd give it a try. It's Pocky so I mean, what could go wrong, right? 










    The coconut is okay. I don't know if it's just me but I don't really like dessicated coconut on anything. Give me fresh, fine. You know what I mean? The coconut flavor is so subtle to the point that I don't really mind it. So yeah. I enjoyed this pack. 














    The citrus thing though I have a little bit of problem with. It reminds me of a very cheap childhood snack. The Lemon flavored Rebisco Crackers. I'm not saying that it's a bad snack! It's actually alright. But when I think about it, why would I buy something probably 5 times more expensive than something that tastes just the same? Get it? It tastes cheap, that's what I'm getting into. 











    Anyways, these are products that I was like, if you never try, you never know. Now I know! :)

    At least it's delicious. LOL.
    When I came home (090312), I saw this at the table. Oh boy. Diet ruined. To be honest, I actually had cheeseburger from Burger Machine and then had some dinner and then this. What diet am I talking about again? LOL. 

      
    GUILTY PLEASURE! For reals! It's a potato snack and it's dang good. It's actually a Calbee product and anything from Calbee is expected to be delish. Confirmed! And FATTY of course. 

    I noticed that whenever I am in Japan, just because I eat potato chips from Calbee too much, I gain pounds and pounds just like that.

    So this one is from Hokkaido, yeah? I don't know much about their potatoes but whatever. Anything from Hokaiddo must be something legit. I just know. LOL.

     

    It's like double fried and deep deep fried french fries. And when you take a bite of it, you know you're gonna gain a pound or two in an instant. It's really very crunchy and stuff. Really fattening I suppose. But at least it's delicious. LOL.
