Red Hair NO MORE

March 08, 2016 1
Red Hair NO MORE

Don't get me wrong! I loved my red hair. But I felt like it was getting out of control and so I had to do something about it.

Actually, my plan was to actually grow it out until it's half and half. But as it's making its way down, I felt a little conscious that I'm not getting the look I wanted to achieve. If I were patient,it would   have been gorg but you know, being the impatient person that I am, I should have asked for that style from the very start. Also, why red? It bleeds when I shower with hot water. It kinda looks like a worn out red tbh. It's soooo hard to maintain. In short, not really for me.

My main problem was my roots. The line of discoloration was hella harsh. I was thinking to myself that if only I could ombre the shiz out of my hair, I'd be fine but we all know I can't do that so yeah.

After color

Still not happy with the color because I thought it'd be dark-ish but it turned lighter at the roots and so you know, brown and red is kind of not a good mix but I guess it'd do it for me for a while and so next time I'm thinking of buying like strawberry or raspberry brown which I don't get but is a thing so that I can ombre or somehow blend things out.

But I'm kind of happier. Also, I don't get "that look" that much anymore. Ciao!

Ruby Woo

February 01, 2016 0
Ruby Woo

There's too much red happening in this picture that I can't even.

I actually never owned a red lipstick. I don't know why but it just doesn't fit me. Or so I thought. Like, there's something so strange with me wearing red lipstick. Must be the shape of my lips.

But then with my mum's forever comment that I look pale in pictures, I decided to go bold. Like, it's probably all in the mind anyways.

I got Ruby Woo because why not?

My lipstick collection is mainly of pinks and corals so when I went to the store, even though I know I am supposed to get red, I was kind of struggling in choosing but then I figured this is not for everyday wear anyways. So I was like, okay then.

I think Ruby Woo is a very nice shade for red starters. I mean, I like their Russian Red as well but you know, with red lipsticks, I think the matte-r the better. Because glossy lipsticks tend to slide, right? So I think with matte, it's a little more manageable. Actually it's like a double ended sword because you know, if it gets anywhere, it's actually a little bit harder to wipe off. Ciao!

Showin' my Hair sum Lovin'

Showin' my Hair sum Lovin'

Since my hair is kind of already dead, I'm now at the process of saving it. Hopefully I would be able to do so.

I brought this hair oil and cream thingy. I haven't really used the oil yet but the cream is kind of good in taming my hair. Like, after drying it, I would just put some on the ends. It doesn't do wonders though. It just makes my hair kind of put together.

Just the basic. Only prettier packaging. For some reason, I don't really stick to one brand when it comes to shampoo/rinse whatsoever. More often that not, I'll just but what's on sale. Hahaha cheap me. Maybe that's also why my hair's shocked everytime. I don't know. I remember this particular brand from childhood though. I remember it being good but I'm not sure. I didn't actually have a good hair even back when I was a child but yeah I have a recall that I liked this brand.

I so envy girls that if you ask them what they do to their hair, they'd be just like, nothing really. Like, after all my HOT OIL AND HAIR SPA TREATMENT, yun yung isasagot sa akin? Hahaha but anyways, it's all good. Actually, it can be that their hair looks fab because they're not doing something to it. Diba? Sometimes we all just have to leave things alone.

I Regret Everything

July 02, 2014 1
I Regret Everything

I haven't been so unlucky with buying cheap stuff. But then I guess life is a balance of good and bad things but today is just not good. Anyways, bought this all at a 100 yen shop and below are my thoughts.

Let's just start with the FAKE EYELASHES. I don't really wear fake lashes. I think I wore it twice my lifetime. I bought one thinking I'd wear it on special days and stuff, right? When I pulled it out, hair fell out. Like, the heck? I don't know what happened but I'm sure I was being careful. So yeah whatever. Goodbye 100 yen. If I were in the Philippines, I would probably shed a tear. JK.

The Eyelash Glue! I realize that buying a black glue is not ideal for beginners! I ended up putting glue everywhere. My lids and all! It's just a no-no. NO!

The mascara I don't hate so much! But I bought one in dark brown instead of black. I don't know if I like dark brown mascaras so NO.

The eyelash curler which doesn't do much. Just no! I remember using kind of the same product and I ended up pulling all my lashes off. True story y'all!

The fake eyelashes storage case. I like the whole idea of it except the fact that the glue I bought doesn't really fit in the glue compartment. So no. There you go guys! See yah!

Renoma Happy Heart Lip Palette

March 30, 2014 1
Renoma Happy Heart Lip Palette

I remember being given this but haven't really used it because I was not really a fan of lip products other than adding tinted lip balms on my lips and stuff but recently, I thought why not? The packaging reminds me of Michelle Phan's EM packaging which is like very minimalist with its clear acrylic looking packaging.

I think it was my mom who gave this to me. Thanks, momma! To be honest, I probably won't buy a lip palette for myself as I am not a fan of it. I like the traditional lip bullet type of product but thinking about it, this kind of stuff is really convenient when travelling and all that jazz, yeah?

Swatches above and below are the same but the one below was taken with a flash. So just in case you're wondering what this would look like with a flash, there you go! You're welcome. :)

This palette consist of pretty colors that are suited for young girls. I mean, not that I am a young girl but you get what I mean? It's very girly and that nice hint of color is just about right for everyday wear. They are glossy which is kind of nice and yeah it's a very lovely palette in my opinion.

Ever Bilena Advance Whitening BB Cream

March 10, 2014 2
Ever Bilena Advance Whitening BB Cream
Hi guys! I believe I have told you about my search for a BB cream. Or did I? Well anyways. I have yet to consume another one from another brand. And this is probably the most affordable of the bunch.

I might actually have bought a shade darker than my shade because you know, I just grabbed it and didn't notice that there is actually a difference between the boxes there. Silly me. I don't know but recently, my face have actually gotten darker because of acne treatment that is making it burn for some reason. Not really burn as in burn but yeah it's making it kind of red so I think this might work.

So this is from a brand called Ever Bilena which I haven't used any other products from but a brand that I am very familiar of. It's basically kind of everywhere here in the Philippines. Mostly supermarkets and drugstores. So yeah.

Swatches! I simply must do them every effing time. No reason. LOL.

They do have two variants of their BB Cream and obvi I got the Whitening but the other one is actually an Anti-Wrinkle formula which I believe I don't need yet. So I got this one instead. I don't actually know if it really whitens and stuff but yeah.

This retails for 220 pesos which is very cheap! I actually wanted to try it basically because it's cheap. I hope it does work though. Even though it's cheap, I wouldn't want my money to go to waste just like that. Anyways.

As you may have witnessed, it kinda blends in with my color but not really. I have a strong feeling that since I have such an oily skin, this would probably oxidize and just boom! Darker face! But yeah hopefully not. I have lots of hopes for this product.

The only thing I kind of don't like about it so far is that it doesn't state to have an SPF which sucks but then at the back, it says it has something to protect the skin from the harmful rays of sun. That's good enough I guess?

This is what it looks like with flash photography. Not much of difference but yeah hopefully (yet another hope), it's not because of the lack of SPF.

The only thing I don't like about this product is that it has a somehow unpleasant smell. It's like bearable but yeah I'm just not accustomed to the smell. But the smell of Maybelline's BB Stick is more offensive so yeah. See yah guys next time!

Kissful Lip Tint Choux

January 12, 2014 1
Kissful Lip Tint Choux
Ciao bellas! I would like to share with you a review of my recently bought lip stains from Etude House! I have searched online for affordable lip stains and I bumped across this product so I thought hey.

Can we just discuss how girly their bag looks. Likey! Anyway I am an avid fan of Korean cosmetics and I will always believe in their power to create and manipulate beauty. Like, they're just so good at it. So I did not hesitate to buy despite it not having much reviews online. Although I did search and thought of buying some other cheap products that have mixed reviews. But I will try to get to that soon.

Anyways they do have a lot of lip tints there but I went for the cheapest stuff because I'm broke. LOL. I spent a little over 250 pesos each. I'm really so excited to wear this on a regular basis but I don't know if I really like it. I like it because it's cheap. Let's just put it out there!

I bought their Kissful Tint Choux both in PINK and yeah it actually feels balmy at first but just like any other lip tints, it can be drying towards the end but not as much! I do have a dry lips sometimes but it doesn't accentuate that. So I think that's a good thing.

Let's just discuss this swatch a little bit, it stayed on quite a long time.

I actually took a photo of it the next day and this is how it looked like. Mind you! I accidentally transferred the product from my hand to my bed sheet but still! As for my personal opinion though, I don't know if I'm eating the product or what but it just don't last me as long as the swatch. Maybe say, 3 hours. It's still a good number but less for what I expect for a lip tint to be. It gives off a nice color though but as for it's lasting effect, it's quite relative. Anyways! It's always nice to reapply and start over! :)

Easy Coffee Lip Scrub | DIY Recipe

December 18, 2013 1
Easy Coffee Lip Scrub | DIY Recipe

Hey guys I just want to share this quick and super easy beauty D.I.Y to you. So yeah lately, my lips have been reacting weird to the weather and so yeah it's like loosing it's glow and stuff. LOL. But yeah my mom and cousin would constantly notice that my lips are always pale and yeah.

So basically you'll need coffee, sugar, and honey. Three ingredients that would help you achieve a better looking lips. Or like softer lips whatever.

If you don't know already, coffee is an anti-oxidant that might help get rid off the toxins and some other bad stuff. You know! :) honey is a moisturizer that will help your lips come back to its glory after the sugar do the job of exfoliating the dead skin on the lips. Well that's about all you need, right?

There's really no proper way of making this scrub. Just mix all the ingredients and you're good to go! Pretty much. Anyways.

The way I did it is that I added more sugar after mixing all the ingredients just to make sure that there's gonna be a more gritty texture and like the milder texture so yeah. You don't want to add in too much honey because that's gonna ruin the mixture pretty much. Honey here serves as the base as well so you just want to have enough for the coffee and the sugar to have something to stick to.

So that's it guys! I hope you find this post helpful and if you have recipes to share, please let me know! So yeah, until then. See yah! :)

Must Eyetem Mascara

December 11, 2013 0
Must Eyetem Mascara
Lately,  I have not been including mascara to my routine. It's just a time consuming step to add. Especially when you're already like a minute late to your schedule. Don't even talk "prepare early" with me because that's just irrelevant. LOL.

So maybe less than a month ago, my mom went to haul a good amount of products from a Korean store and she was so nice to get me a mascara to try. I don't know but it's like all of a sudden. Maybe she remembered that I want to get any of those colorful fat Maybelline mascaras so yeah.

The moment she told me it's from Korea, I was so excited to use it because you know Koreans! Although they would probably just stack on fake eyelashes for a more convincing look. Anyways.

The packaging doesn't look professional at all. It actually looks like something a high school girl would use. Not that it's a bad thing. I just noticed. Oh it's also cheap. As I remember, 3000 won. So it's about 150 ish php. So maybe I shouldn't really complain about how it looks. The formula is more leaning to the wetter side thus it is kind of more difficult to set. If you have enough time though, you might be able to set it down before blinking and having an instant black eye in return.

One thing about me is that I don't have impressive eyelashes. EVEN FOR A TYPICAL SOUTH EAST ASIAN. Like, I am below the table.

curled lashes
Even if curled, you can barely seen them. I also find my lashes difficult to curl so as much as I don't want to, I kind of do the curling the wrong way and in such a way that there would be like 2 or 3 that will be detached from the roots. Sorry lashes

with the mascara on
As you may have noticed, my lashes became more noticeable which I think is a good thing. So yay! As from what I noticed, it doesn't give much length but it defo gives volume.

So yeah it's more of easy but really messy to apply and you have to hold your position like this for a while or else the product would go up your lids. Or maybe that's just me. So that's it guys! I don't hate the product at all. I will use it actually. Because it's from mom. Take care!

Hunger Games Inspired Nails

December 02, 2013 1
Hunger Games Inspired Nails

Hello guys! I want to share a nice nail look for y'all! It's quite nice and I'm pretty proud of it. The Hunger Games theme quite failed me but anyways.

These are all Bobbie nail polishes. Cheap cheap nail polishes. But they do what they have to do. They paint your nails anyways. Hunger Games reminds me of Red and Fire like Katniss Everdeen and that's actually the look I aimed for but since there's no RED anywhere near me, I took the closest option. Talk about improvising.

Look! It's quite nice, right? I mean, I know I usually do simple colors and nothing really dramatic but I think this one is kind of a little bit sophisticated than what I usually do at least. But anyways.

Thinking about it though I think this is more like an Effie Trinket inspired look. LOL. I may have told you before that she's my favorite character. But nah I'll stick to my original plan of making this a Hunger Games themed nail look.

This is where the drama comes in. Poisonous berries anyone?

I missed posting nail looks for y'all and myself as well. I say expect more of this themed post every now and then because I enjoy it very much. Till then, MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR.

Falsies? Not! Mascara tip!

November 02, 2013 0
Falsies? Not! Mascara tip!
Hello guys! I saw a post on Pinterest (is it?) that kind of caught my attention and I said to myself that I should really try it and here we go! Basically, all you'll be needing are these, and a lash curler or something.

The trick said that if you put powder after mascara and put powder again, the fibers of the powder would build up and it would give you the look of a fuller eyelashes and stuff and I thought hey! It's such a simple trick so why not give it a try?

It works! I mean, it does give a fuller looking lashes at some point and it even gives a kind of false lashes effect and yeah but I mean considering other things might change your opinion on it. It does fall out and would give you a black eye bad effect and I don't know if you want to go for that look. It also kind of feels gritty and it doesn't feel good at all. I mean it's after all a powder and at some point, it will fall off! And it's actually quite dangerous because that would actually fall straight to your eyes! Imagine the damage! So be very careful! Or maybe find a way to better apply the powder. I may have done it in a dangerous way.

I think that with a much wetter formula of a mascara and if applied right away, it will make the trick better because the powder would have something to stick to and mix to and not just sit on the lashes so yeah. Anyway. I hope I was able to help you or some sort and see you again soon! All the best!
