Irritating as it Can Be.

Irritating as it Can Be.
Yesterday, I saw a screen capture of a tweet from one of my favorite showbiz personalities. Bianca Gonzales. I like her. I like what she does. I like her blog. Almost everything. But for some reason, people can't digest some of her point of views. This for example.

If you ask me, there's really nothing wrong with what she've tweeted. Also, she didn't say anything that isn't by bit true. I have complained about informal settlers myself so I'm obviously with her in this. What disturbs me is that people are reacting like crazy!! Why though? I've read the comments and it really made me go nuts. Nakakahiya naman sa inyo. We are all entitled to our own opinions but this is like, out of bounce. At least for me.

She's obviously a working individual and she probably pays more tax than half of those who commented and said those nasty things. If I were her, I would have said the same thing too. I sure wouldn't want my hard earned money to be spent on people who CAN work but are too lazy to function and blame the government instead. This isn't about how the Philippine Government function but whatever. I want it to be spent on something I could benefit from. Sabi nga nila, gamitan lang yan. But what the heck is happening? I'm not saying that they shouldn't be taken care of. Come on, even grown ups need a little bit of care sometimes. I'm just saying that they shouldn't be the priority or something. And I'm not saying that they are being prioritized either. But that's what it looks like to me. If they are promised something, most likely, they wouldn't want to make an effort to speed up the process. Far from reality but maybe if the government wouldn't promise them anything, maybe they would do something to make their lives better than just to whine and  wait for the government's blessings. Asa pa diba. Sad but that's true for some. Funds should go to the health and education department. Mostly. Also, tourism.

Can I just touch on this topic a little bit? What annoys me the most is that most informal settlers don't want to be relocated to where the government want them to be placed. I bet some place where it's legal for them to stay. But of course to avoid overcrowding of the city capital and stuff as well. But what? They come back. And they come back bigger! I don't mind if they actually have work here but those who don't, WTF? They were also saying that they don't want to move because they feel like they were being isolated. Right. Kaya nga informal settlers. Meaning, you don't belong. Illegal. Informal. And hirap naman. Then some of them would say that they can't afford the fee that these relocation centers require. Then you would see them drinking beers in the afternoon and in the middle of the night. Also, gambling! Playing BINGO and stuff. Not true for all but this is what I see so I can't really decipher why people are hating on Bianca.  Shame on her shame on her pa. If you're not doing anything to help these informal settlers find a better place to live and to not actually make their lives easier, SHAME ON YOU!

Props to Yeeshii Tobia for being on Bianca's side because that really made me feel like there's hope! There's still hope!

Memory Corner | Flashback Friday 4

Memory Corner | Flashback Friday 4

1. You might be confused as to what this picture is all about. If you would look closely, there's a colorful something something up above the tree. That's actually a parrot. What happened was it escaped from its owner and then the owner said that he would give a 5000 pesos grant to the person that would catch and bring back the parrot to the owner. Can I just say that the parrot was really mean because a guy actually attempted to climb that tree but when he was about to grab the parrot, it flew and transferred to a far away tree and yeah.

2. A picture of my sister Mika and I at Manila Bay. Actually, Harbour Square back when we ate somewhere there. If you don't know it already, I'm obsessed with sunset. So even though we can't be seen and recognized in that picture, that picture is precious.

3. Internship! :) I miss everything about internship. This is during my Clinical Microscopy rotation. And also during when we exchanged gifts. As you can see, I'm eating a Krispy Kreme and just checking out my group mate who is studying medicine now by the way.

4. My lovey Hashi eating her favorite food. Instant noodles. Like whenever I would eat noodles, Hashi would come and wag her tail and stuff and then I got curious and gave her a strand and she loved it. The picture is not actually the first time but whatever.

Some Good Tea @ Affinitea

Some Good Tea @ Affinitea
WALL OF GOOD VIBES
I haven't seen this anywhere else yet so I'm assuming that this branch is the only branch. In case you're wondering, Affinitea is somehow near San Sebastian College in Manila. The last time I attempted to try something in this place, it was full so I just went to Chill Out which is literally beside this place. We were supposed to do the same thing but then my cousin noticed the place is empty so we went in right away. MUST BRING POST ITS NEXT TIME.

GOOD STUFF
This is probably the first time my cousin didn't get Caramel Milk Tea. She ordered some honey tea stuff and she didn't like it that much. I guess she's just used to the taste of Caramel Milk Tea that's why she didn't enjoy it. She also said that the bubbles are harder than the usual. BUT I LOVED MINE. Mine is the shorter cup by the way and I ordered some cocoa stuff with rock salt and cheese. The lady was also kind enough to ask me if I want my drink uncovered. I said yes of course. It's easier to mix and savor the drink that way anyways.

It's a relatively big place for a tea shop and it's really nice although I wouldn't say that the place is very ideal to stay at which is typical for tea places by the way. For some reason, it's too noisy inside. I'm not complaining of course. I'm just saying. Can I just say that the staffs were really nice. But still noisy.

MYSELF AND MY COUSIN
Just a side note, we were actually from PRC before we went here. Thanks to MY COUSIN for accompanying me and falling in line for me and stuff like that. If not for her, I wouldn't finish the whole examination application process a little bit earlier. So thank you! :) Can I just say that I was a little bit irritated by that one lady at the processing window because she was like doing hand movements and I was like, what the eff is happening here? And then when I asked her to repeat what she have just said, she was like irritated that I didn't here it the first time. WHAT? WOMAN, YOU DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING SO DON'T YOU DARE ACT LIKE THAT. It's pretty ironic that we have people like that inside the PROFESSIONAL REGULATION COMMISSION. But I'm good now.

THE AWESOME COUSIN
