Sponge Cola XMAS Party

Yas. Was actually supposed to go with 2 other people but then again, things happen but fortunately my sister came to rescue and she was the only one I went with.

The Band

Not that you’re asking but I’m gonna tell anyways. I’ve been a fan of the band since 3rd Year High School! It’s actually crazy how I became a fan. I actually dreamt of someone and for some reason, I concluded that the guy was the lead singer of the band so being the stalker that I am, all the fan girling happened. I’ve been a fan for 10 years! Gahd.

Food Coma

Man in my dream. Literally. Also, my chin became red all of a sudden. The allergy is REALS. That’s all! :)

Beauty and the Beat

Beauty and the Beat

I probably haven't told you about this in this blog but you know, I do love some OPM bands. I would be a hypocrite if I say all because you know, not all.

Callalily @ 70's Bistro

Stellar, Moonstar 88, Gracenote, and Callalily performed that night. It was my first time watching Stellar but I was able to watch the rest during Paskuhan 2015. You know, I like this kind of setting more than the big staged ones like Paskuhan. It kinda stresses me out.

Then I thought I wouldn't be able to watch Sponge Cola (fave) but lo and behold... It was actually Valenzuela's Mayor's B-day and even though we're not from there, we kinda made the effort to go. PS: Because of traffic, our supposed to be 30 mins. travel time became like 1hr and 30mins. Anyways.

I technically did not see them because I forgot to wear my contacts but you know, I was telling my mates that the vibe of just being there makes a lot of difference. Anyways, they did perform with Hale, which I haven't seen for a long time so I'm really glad I did and yeah also my first time to watch Gloc 9 that night. It was short but sweet. The gig.

Last gig was at Cowboy Grill. My lolo kept persuading me before our trip that we should go to Malate instead of Delta because that's where he and my dad used to go like 20 years ago. He probably mentioned it like 5 times. Anyways, when we got there lolo told us to request his all time fave song w/c is Bed of Roses so we requested that. After the band denied some requests people sent them, we were actually surprised they played lolo's jam.

I am a big fan of The Voice so I was really happy to see some of the singers from the show. Actually the reason I wanted to go there in the first place anyways. It was awesome. Ciao!

Only me, Only you, and the Band

Only me, Only you, and the Band
It's been quite a while since I last attended a Sponge Cola Christmas Party and this year's probably the last that I would be attending for years so yeah.

Adam Levine
As per usual, the call time was seven and the program started at 10 ish. It's just like that with them.

We were there at 7 ish and since not a lot of people were in yet, we were able to find a decent seat. But you know! I still prefer the front but yeah will work on that. Imagine! We were able to watch a Maroon 5 gig twice on that screen and still no sign of the program starting. But anyways.

The host was very nice and she was updating and checking in with us every whatever minutes so yeah. We also exchanged gifts which I was quite happy about and guess who received a gift from one of the boys? Yup yup! It was not an exchange gift though. It was a raffle draw and yeah.

I enjoyed their performances and the boys were so makulit as usual and yeah my cousin and I had fun. We also had fun eating free food. LOL.

Pale is pale
After the party, we took pictures with the band members and yeah that's all about what happened at the party.

That's it guys! I'll see you next time. Actually shortly after this post.

Accidental gig.

Accidental gig.
So my sister actually texted me to say that there are bands playing in the elementary school in front of our house. And I was like, what bands? And she didn't answer because she didn't know. So as a fan of most of the OPM bands, I got out to check. Which shock my mom a little bit because I don't usually go out and stuff. So I got there with my youngest sister first and checked and stuff and then it was fine, music playing and all that. It was actually an event put together by our councillor in partnership with a local radio station. So that happened. And when I looked at the banner to check who's playing next, I saw SPONGE COLA among many others (that weren't there by the way). And I was like, WTF? I love SPONGE COLA. Like, to death! I'll tell you why next time if I remember.

So I texted my cousin and my sister to inform them that Sponge Cola's gonna be there and stuff. And then my youngest sister and I decided that we should pick up my other sister at home so that we would all be there and watch together. I called my cousin and asked if she received my messages and she confirmed but texted me back a few minutes later that she's doing something so she wouldn't be able to come. So we went back to the school anyways.

Join The Club was there. Awesome.

This day is really unexpected. I love this day.

And as always, hyper Yael is hyper. I remember last UST Paskuhan how Yael climbed that steel thingy where the camera stood and it was actually darn high. So dangerous. So Yael. Can't really do anything about it. So yeah. I can't wait to see them again. I'm not actually a fan of politicians displaying their names and their projects but this one, I approve of. Except the shameless self-promotion of the politicians and radio staffs often times during the show. Good vibes!
