Cherry Blossoms in Japan

March 24, 2020 0
Cherry Blossoms in Japan

This is nothing like Nakameguro and Ueno Sakura display but it’s the best we can do and yeah not really complaining. This place is very near our house so we don’t really have a problem coming here anytime and I think mom and I did a photoshoot three different times which is great because you know, three different blooming time or whatever. I’m gonna post photos in order for better visualization. Or not. LOL.

Sakura

Staged Candid

Not really at its prime yet.

I actually think that this is UME but my mom was very sure that this is Sakura and there was a point where we were arguing and she literally asked the passerby and the guy was like, SAKURA. Damn it. I know this is not the real Sakura though. Maybe some kind of Sakura but not the Hanami kind of Sakura. Well it might be that too.

What do you think of my mermaid dress, guys? My mom was like, you should wear something else every time I try to put it on. I like it. I mean, it’s kinda heavy and wrinkly but I like it.

It rained when we went this time. I was kinda worried that it will ruin the bloom and stuff but also thankful that I already took loads of pictures the last time. Some of the photos I kinda edited some I can’t really be bothered editing so I leave it all to you guys.

How awesome is this portrait I took of my mom? My mom took a photo of me in portrait setting and it was a massive fail it’s hilarious. I won’t show you because it will ruin my non existent reputation. My skill though is okay, yeah? Yeah.

I can’t really tell what point was the flowers are at its best but they were pretty at any point so really thankful and blessed that I get to see them many many times.

That is all guys! Thank you so much!

My Beloved Japan

My Beloved Japan

I admit. I thought I wouldn’t be back for a while but goodness gracious it was good to be back for a while. I was in Japan for 12 days and man, it was awesome! Couldn’t be any better. Actually it could! I wish my sisters were with us. I went with my mom to take care of errands and stuff and overall, I would say it was a very productive trip considering.

Our first day was the busiest I guess. We went straight to the city pension office and got to finish what we needed to (in a way). I won’t really tell you what we did there because 1, it’s boring, and 2, I don’t really know how to translate it properly myself so better not say anything, right? But it has something to do with my dad passing away and the pension has to be transfererred to my mom. Yup. It was a lucky day for us because having told that the next available schedule is in 3 weeks, we were able to finish the whole thing in like 3 hourd I guess. Thank you, Japanese Peeps for being so helpful and efficient. Anyways, after the long day, we ate at Volk’s! My first real Japanese food in a while. To be fair though, Volk’s isn’t even Japanese but oh well. It was delicious!

SAKURA

We went to the supermarket and found these gorgeous line up of trees. I mean, it was still the early part of our trip though so I knew I had to be back there to take pictures but I took a picture anyway just in case.

GO-TO Saize Order

MELON SODA

CHICKEN!

The next day, we met up with mom’s long long time friend, tita Analou and we ate at Saizeriya. It was the best!! I drank a lot of Melon Soda there if you ask me. Gah I missed Saizeriya.

NIKU UDON

Also in this post are the food we ate the next day. I’m ending this post here folks. I’ll see you in probably 4 more post. Adios!

Mum Thinks I Need These Reverse!

Mum Thinks I Need These Reverse!

So you know, when I was in Japan, my mom always give me stuff from the Philippines. Now that I am here in the Philippines and my mom visited Japan for 3 months, she also got me stuff from there! Yay! PS: I miss Japan so much.

I might have asked to buy my mudra to buy me some stuff but these are wayyy too much! Thanks as always mamita!

Face oils!!! Although it is quite scary to use face oils in this kind of weather which is very humid and all! And! You might also fear that you’d accumulate all of Metro Manila’s dust, worry not! As soon as you make sure to wash it off or something, it’s all good! I actually don’t wash it na! I’m pretty sure I’m doing it wrong but that’s how it works for me. I notice I get less blemishes when I use oil as moisturizer. I get a lot of blemishes to be honest! I feel like it has something to do with my skin being so dry! And! I feel so lazy to keep up with my routine.

FOOD! KAMABOKO FTW. Also, I missed the Salty Lychee drink I used to drink almost everyday because that's basically my water. The caramel bar I haven't had before this but it was actually very good!

RANDOM STUFF

HOW CUTE IS THAT PURSE?

CUTE

SLING BAG!

That's all! LOADS OF CHOCOLATES TOO of course! I liked everything! It's like bringing a piece of Japan here. I definitely would be back there to visit but for now, these will do! :) Take care!

45 Days of Butter Coffee

May 02, 2019 0
45 Days of Butter Coffee

I drank Butter Coffee everyday for a month. And a half. I actually learned this from my co-worker whose goal in life is not to go over the weight of 51kg and killing it. This petite co-worker of mine who eats like a construction worker and myself combined. Life is unfair. Anyways, she told me she saw it in the news so I was like, me likey! I want it too! Good thing is that there’s literally a Family Mart 3 mins. away from where I live so, okay. I religiously bought one everyday for 1 and a half months! Like, the Family Mart lady probably think I’m insane or something. But I proceeded with the experiment anyways.

To be fair, it taste so good! I mean, in the first few weeks of course. Until you despise it! Up to the point when you can already taste the butter! Goodness. It’s probably the worst taste ever! Like, can’t drink it straight like I used to. Gives me headache too. Is it just me though? So as you can see from the picture, there are two variants you can choose from. I like the original better. But from time to time when I'm really sick of it, I pick up the sweet one too.

I mean, are we seeing these butter bits?

It was fun! It’s kind of expensive. Twice the price of the coffee I’m used to drinking. Also, no effect on me. So I kind of know that high fat diet doesn’t work on me. So yeah. Tell me if you've tried this diet and if it worked for you! OR NOT.

My Nara Experience

 My Nara Experience

Oh my. Good lord. The deers. I wish I had known the hand signal for them to go away because I was violated ladies and gentlemen. The thing is when you show them treats, they would attack! I mean, sure they have their horns taken off or something but still, it’s kind of traumatic actually. But! I still enjoyed it. Joke’s on me.

How cute is this?

I bought two stacks of the biscuits at two different places. They sell for 150 yen each stack and so yeah.

I actually enjoyed feeding them! Especially those who are just very shy and quiet. Hated when the alphas come because they’re very scary and so entitled! And they come running towards you too! Like, girl, I don’t owe you any snacks!

You know what? I owe myself a snack. So snacks I should get!

I also went to this place where the buddha displays are but I didn’t go in. Maybe I should have though but anyways. I remember having a very little time to comply with all of this so...

For all of you who doesn’t know, Nara is actually a place where there are lots of wild deers waiting for treats I guess. What’s special is that they sort of bow down to you as a sign of greeting so yeah, very interesting! I recommend you drop by and give it a look. That’s all! I would definitely go check this place again if given a chance. Thank you!

Universal Studios Japan

 Universal Studios Japan

I mean, can we just appreciate the fact that it’s my first time going to Universal Studios! Like, yas! I have been a fan of Harry Potter as long as I can remember. Actually, I am kind of late in the trend because I’ve only been a fan when I was in second year college. And yes, the year the first Deathly Hollows movie was released. That drew me to it because we all know I didn’t understand much from the movie so I decided to backtrack. Hahaha so anyways. I was hooked since then and man, I know everything now! And I wouldn’t forgive myself if I leave Japan and not experience USJ. And so I went. Actually it’s the main reason I went to the Kansai area. Okay the USJ trip.

In general, it was not as aesthetically pleasing as Disneyland but it was still beautiful. I guess the gloomy weather made it a little bit gloomier so yeah.

The Wizarding World though!!! I liked! And I would definitely go there again just for that! Also to ride the ones that I missed!

I bought one in this souvenir container and the other in disposable cup.

Hogwarts, I'm home.

Butterbeer!! I had two of these. I should have had five to be honest but it’s not something you’d think if you were living that day because it’s too sweet.

Slytherin Represent!

The tita in me was dizzy AF after all the rides and stuff but it didn’t stop me from riding the Hogwarts ride thing twice. It was sooo realistic and it made me really feel that I was in Hogwarts! I liked it.

Also rode the Flight of Hippogriff!

KEEPER OF THE KEYS

What I liked about USJ is its Single Rider lane! I mean, going alone is one thing but going alone and waiting in line alone is another so I’m really thankful that I don’t have to wait in line as much as them people with friends. Posting this because I rode this ride with no problem.

FOOD

The food!! It’s actually not soooo good good but it was okay. Three Broomsticks will always be a go to place for me! It’s a little expensive though but okay.

I wasn’t able to ride everything actually. I think I missed five major rides two of it being closed due to maintenance that day. I should do better!

At night, the Hogwarts projection thingy happened. It was very nice. Not as magical as Disney’s though but it was beautiful! Also, the parade was cancelled for some reason. I was kind of looking forward to that one because I heard only good things about it. But oh well. Next time!

All in all I am very impressed with the theme park! I should definitely go again next time with my sisters!  I recommend you go if ever you’re in the area. That’s all!
