Sanja Matsuri in Asakusa

Sanja Matsuri in Asakusa

I have mentioned before that there are places here in Japan that I probably wouldn't go to alone and Asakusa, I figured, is one of those places. Nothing personal.

I must admit though, going up Tokyo Sky Tree (alone) was on my non-existing bucketlist befofe. On that note, should I make one for real? Like, to make my life more legitimately interesting or something??

I have been here with my college friend Kim before. That time, I remember being on a hunt for my mama's bag that she bought so many years ago and we failed.

I wanted us to succeed this time but when we went, it was all chaotic like this.

I don't have TV at home nor knowledge what's going on here in Japan so things like this, I don't have an idea but we were warned beforehand that they might have something going on in there. Obviously we didn't expect it to be that big. We went anyways. Sanja Festival is apparently one of the three biggest festivals in Japan and millions of tourist go there just for that festival.

I'm not usually big on festivals like this. Well I'd probably still go for the food once in a while but you know, I guess growing up in a different country makes you clueless so...

Anyways, it was so crowded when we went and it was quite impossible to check the shops one by one so we decided to somehow go with the flow.

Sensoji Temple

We ended here. Somehow. Thankfully.

Again, one of the places I probably won't go to alone. I like places that are more serene. I think.

I also wasn't able to eat anything from the booths even though I'm already dead hungry because you know, we were heading for lunch (at 3:30pm) after we took the picture above.

One reason I'd see myself coming to Asakusa is the day I'd buy authentic Japanese goodies. I mean, stores after stores of souvenirs!! Also, the day I would go up the Sky Tree. And!!! Japan's oldest amusement park is in there! Somewhere.

Yas! Couple Goals.

This is where we had our late lunch.

You can't tell because I've always been fat but man, I was so full!!!

It was kind of pretty at night. We were tired though and we're starting early the next day so we went home early. Oh mom bought two bags similar to hers. It was quite a day of accomplishment.

I know we will see each other again, Asakusa. Until then!

Fuji-Q Highland 2017

Fuji-Q Highland 2017

At last!! I wanted to go here for the longest time and so glad I did! I was actually supposed to go with beshy Glaiza and her sister but you know, family! :D So glad I caught up with her in Harajuku though.

As you may all know, we live in the beautiful (?) province of Sagamihara and to get to Shizuoka, it took us about 2 hours I think. Actually, it took us a little longer because Google Maps. Pahamak ka GIRLY ha!

Pimples, when will you leave me alone?

So we arrived around 11:30 already and we were all panicking because the park closes 5:00. In Tokyo, everything starts at 6 basically so it weirds me out. Also, they have 4 World Records FFS! Extend extend din!

So yeah. The first ride destroyed us. Well, Mika and I. Because we were riding the water splash thing, aye? We even bought raincoats so we won't get wet and all. When we were about to drop, I was trying hard to put the hood on but then it all happened quickly and the next thing I know, my hair's wet already. Mika got it worst! She wet her top and all! Then we have our sister Mari sitting pretty and dry basically.

We were able to ride 2 out 4 of the deadliest coasters or something though. The one being the longest and tallest and the other one the steepest. Man, we died. My sister Mari thought she'd pass out and all and I was there laughing at her. We missed 1 during that day and that one would be the roller coaster with the most rotation. The other record holder is under maintenance so we can't really do anything about that. Fastest roller coaster at lauch.

They have few horror houses that are dead terrifying. But then it closes at like 1 or something so of course we weren't able to go. Man, who does that???? They have in here the longest horror house I think.

Mt.Fuji, you're the star.

You already know.

Lunch time! My sisters had ramen and I had Loco Moco burger thing. For some reason, I always see myself going for something more Hawaiian. Is this a sign?

It was so hot that day so we ended lunch with a cup of ice cream. Choco mint for life!

You know, despite all the bad things I had to say, I really enjoyed my stay. It was a nice park.

I hope to be back soon! We know better. Go a lot earlier! And probably not on a Monday.

So yeah, that's it. Bye!

Disney Sea 2017

Disney Sea 2017

Tokyo Disney Sea

Tokyo Disney Sea the second time around. This time with my sisters and we all know that we're gonna make the most out of this and boy that's what we did.

Totally not in any way convenient because I won't have a link to click or something but I also vlogged!! Like, what? Also I realized that it's probably not for me. Hahaha so tiyaga tiyaga nalang.

Since Disney Sea is kinda far from Maihama Station, we had to ride the Disney train and it was awesome. I mean, with all the Disney stuff they have going on.

Still confused as to why this is the landmark sort of. I'm only seeing the Earth and not like how it would only represent SEA. I mean, do you get it? Does anybody?

still my favorite ride

because

If you're ever gonna go to Disney, ride the Tower of Terror twice. Day and night. It's the same ride for sure but the view is different. Both magical though. For some reason, I have a recollection of this from childhood. My mom made it very clear though that we all haven't been to Disney Sea prior so I think Tower of Terror might be part of Disneyland before. Or is it? Anybody?

Aquatopia

We weren't able to ride this thing. We had loads of time but you know, this one ride we think is okay to pass.

Turkey Leg!!

We ordered milk with it. I thought it's gonna be weird but hey, it was okay.

nom time

Can I just say that we were at Disney Sea around 9 and went home at 10 when they closed. We were there for almost 11 hours!!! Yay!

It's almost summer but it was cloudy when we went so we didn't have any trouble with the weather. It got cold at night though and I was barely wearing pants so...

I think Indiana Jones is my second favorite ride. I don't even know why myself. Anyways, it was Tuesday when we went and generally, it was not sooo crowded like the usual Disney. Plus! We got fast passes!

Goofy!

There were also lotsa characters on the loose! Monkey, Goofy, Lilo and Stitch, Chips and Dale, Pluto, Prince Erick, Abu, and some other characters I can't remember. Winner!

Yas

Ariel's Castle

The only thing I don't like about Disney Sea is the absence of Cinderella's Castle. But this is beautiful too!

One thing I missed last time is notice how beautiful Disney Sea is in general. Like, each area brings you to a different world. Maybe that's why they put the Earth outside.

I also have a picture like this from last time. Just sayin'.

It's not as magical as Disneyland but it's beautiful!

Also what I missed last time is to enter this cavern. Most magical place in Disney Sea if you ask me. Too kiddy but still! We saw Ariel perform inside the theatre and it's so nice and almost funny to see my sister Mika fangirling. Hahaha

Caravan Carousel

I just realized that I can't learn to forgive amusement parks without carousels.

Genie

I think I mentioned this from last time but this part of the park reminds me a lot of Tangled. Also Macau.

Let's recognize the fact that I am already kind of freezing cold during this time but whatevs.

I also missed the parade last time and made sure I wouldn't miss this time and guess what? I didn't. That's a first. Well with all the stuff happening kind of far away from where I stand, I wouldn't say it's the best thing ever.

Venetian Gondola

This is like the most chill and relaxed ride and I don't mind riding this over and over again. I will make sure to ride this in the morning next time. That's all I have to say I guess? Take note that this almost a three week old post waiting to happen but hey, your girl have been hella busy so...bye~
