Seoul Day 3 | Everland

January 28, 2019 0
Seoul Day 3 | Everland

The highlight of my trip. But a lot of the attractions I’m looking forward to ride are closed. But anyways. I still enjoyed it. False weather report too because they said it’s gonna be warmer that day but in my mind I was like, away from the city and higher so that can’t be right so I dressed as per usual. Everland is beautiful. All I can think of is I want to go with my sisters here.

EVERLAND

I can't point out what the theme is all about. Maybe like a ruined palace and stuff. Also maybe that's not it so whatever, yeah? You know what? I should definitely bring meclizine next time because girl!! I'm old.

They have everything in there! Zoo and all that. So yeah. It’s kind of nice because the oldies can enjoy the other parts while the young ones waste their life riding deadly rides. Ha.

Subtle but maybe mixed up my brain cells and all that.

the ride that killed us because of the cold

Let me tell you something about winter in Korea. There’s no such thing as overdressing. LAYER IT UP BUTTERCUP.

This. Good. Corn snack should be a thing in Disneyland too!

ALPINE VILLAGE

The garden place is kind of my favorite spot because it’s just refreshing. Also, that’s where the umbrella heaters are. Wasted a lot of our time there! It wouldn’t have happened if I were with my OG crew. Oh well.

What I like about this place or Korea in general is that they play Christmas Songs. Like, yes babe! Sing me some carols!

I mean, right? I feel like that I’m the only one who appreciates the view.

COLD AF

Garden thingy. I bet this would really look good in Spring since they have legit roses and flower plants going on.

PARADE

SANTA

NIGHT PARADE

The parade. Subtle. But. Nice. The parade at night is a version of Disney’s Electrical Parade I think. It was soo cold that night but the lights sure warmed everything up. It’s nice.

IT ALL LOOKS SO GOLDEN AND NICE

The fireworks sure lit up the sky. So nice. Me likey. That’s all! I bet this place would be more magical in the spring or maybe like autumn. Winter is not so bad though but yeah.

They also have a very nice illumination going on! Which I liked very much. I will surely be back here because I feel like I haven’t utilized the place yet. Like, I feel like I still have a lot to see and experience.

Pretty

Ciao!

Seoul Day 2 | Hanbok/Tongin Market

Seoul Day 2 | Hanbok/Tongin Market

I don’t think I’d ever wear Kimono outside. Wouldn’t I though? LOL so anyways went these girls that I am on this trip with but just met that day. Basically, one of them I went to the same university and one is her friend. Didn’t feel strange at all! Is that weird? It’s as if we knew each other all along. We had breakfast in this normal bakery cafe before renting because we were kind of hungry. Went to the renting place next. Man, the variety blew my mind!! I went for the classic looking.

Yas!

We rented it for 2 hours I think. Or 3? I can’t remember. We then went to the palace. If you’re wearing hanbok, they actually wave the fee to enter the place. We took so many pictures!!

Palace

I like how we all have different color combination going on. Will definitely try the pastel one next time!

I have no idea but I think this is where the king used to sit.

After that, we went to this place and ate lunch. Okay so we were supposed to eat breakfast here but it was closed. Funny because I was telling them on our group chat that I noticed that they open the stores late in Seoul but they said it’s a 24H shop but not really. Anyways...I’m happy still. Also, why you fooling us Google Maps? Anyways food!

Then off to Tongin Market after we met with my college friend Kimmy!

This is what the empty bento box looks like

Kimmy. The seller looks so cute and just very into the conversation.

Soondae!

This is what the market looks like. It’s just like a shotengai. Also, I don’t think the food is very fresh. I’m just saying.

I don’t recommend it. I mean, just have your Korean food elsewhere. Not worth it.

You saw that empty spot, this is what happenedI went home after that because 3rd day is kind of my highlight. That’s all! :)

Seoul Day 1 | Museum/Bukchon

Seoul Day 1 | Museum/Bukchon

Hello, Korea!

It was hella cold. Okay, thank Sue Ramirez for the weather update and all that but Seoul in winter is cold as hell. Not that I would know but...you get the point. I actually packed a lot of warm clothes because I’m prepared like that. Haha! My first day in Seoul was wonderful! I got to explore the city like I did with my friend Pring before. It was as if I never left.

I first went to the hotel and rested there for a bit. Unpacked my stuff, settled, and may have napped a little bit. I actually booked the same hotel as before too!

Palace

After resting, I decided this is it. Time to explore! And I did. Oh me and my high heels girl! But whatever, you know! I planned to go to Bukchon Village first but on my way there, dropped by The National Folk Museum as well. It was awesome!

It was not as pretty as it was on Spring though. No flowers. But it gives it character. The emptiness.

Museum

I don’t even know.

Found this one while I’m finding my way to the village. Can’t relate.

Bukchon Village

They were having a little protest going on there. Basically, they’re trying to eliminate tourists going near their houses. I mean, I would probably do that too. I mean, silent tourists I don’t have a problem with but oh my gosh, the others I will happily kick in the butt you know what I mean?

The view from the top.

Hot Pancake. Yas. Sooo oily.

After that, went to a small place and ate Bibimbap because Korea. It was awesome! And a fun first day I should say. Annyeong~
