Bukchon Village | When in Seoul

Bukchon Village | When in Seoul

Moving on to our 2nd day. We went to Bukchon Hanok Village. It's probably the simplest place we've been to and it's quite amazing how this residential place can be one of the tourist spots.

Can I just say that if you would line up our house in Sagamihara in this area, no one would even notice. Hahaha. Basically, this place is where they kept the traditional look of the houses from before and I must say they kind of did a good job. Ancient.
Kind of.

I was telling my buddy that it's ironic how some of the houses are being restored to look traditional. It defeits the purpose. But that's only me.

It's a very nice place to walk around. It's probably nicer to walk around this place when shops are all open and not in the morning when we went because everything's closed yet. But it was nice. Probably nicer to walk with someone who appreciates the
vinategy stuff. There's so much to look at really.

Also, this looks pretty in winter with all that snow. But whatevs.

I would recommend going in the morning because when we arrived, there are probably only one group walking around and when we were about to go out of the place, it's already semi-crowded so yeah. Ciao!

Dongdaemun | When in Seoul

Dongdaemun | When in Seoul

This is the first time I went to Seoul and the first stop is Dongdaemun Market. We went there basically to meet my buddy's dad. So yeah after airport, we went straight to the market. No idea hahaha.

It was a mall-ish type of place. The one we went to more than twice is Migliore Mall. A lot of cheap stuff! We went there and got really amazed. Maybe because there's no equivalent place here in Japan. In the Philippines though, there's 168 in Divisoria! Much much cheaper but that 's besides the point.

So after we checked the shops floor by floor, we went to eat dinner. At this point, I'm not really hungry but I'm so happy that I get to taste my first authentic Korean dish. It was spicy! But delicious.

I love that the staffs kept coming to our table to mix and check on our food even though obviously we can just do it ourselves. Got me really confused there.

Korean buildings are usually of interesting structure. Like, irregular thing. This one reminds me of that building in Shinjuku that got me confused as well. It's pretty at night though with all the lights on.

Streetfoods!

Picture time

Yummy Korean barbecues

Potato Corndog

On the second day, we went back because my buddy said she'll buy something but ya know! Didn't happen hahaha. But we managed to eat a lot of street foods which is awesome! The barbecue though! So spicy considering we didn't order the spiciest! How can people eat that kind of stuff? Goodness gracious. But the cheese one is good!

Badass

Also, they were having this B-Boy battle when we went. As we still have time, we managed to watch a battle. It was good! Definitely a place for Sunday events. Quite interesting.

On our third day, we came back because buddy told me she'll buy the stuff she's been meaning to buy already. Thank goodness! She should have bought it on the first day but anyways. Food!

It's a small restaurant underground and we have suceeded in finding small restaurants where local people would usually eat and yeah. Loved it!

Also, we've ordered so much food that we were in food coma for a couple of hours. Not complaining.

The pork sausage is a winner! Although I suggest that you consume everything while it's warm. That's our Dongdaemun adventure. Ciao!

Itaewon | When in Seoul

Itaewon | When in Seoul

Can I just stop and tell you this. I like the vibes of this place but while I was taking this particular picture, this dude attacked from behind, and by that I mean rested his chin on my shoulder, his hand wrapped around my other shoulder and said "cheese". And I was like "びくりした!" with feelings. There's that.

Lotsa party people in here since the place is near a military base and just like Fussa, it became a red light district of some sort. Military people actually have their curfews around 11-ish? When we went there, probably around 11 or 12? People are already drunk and stuff and they are all ready to go home na.

    Clubs here and there

The other side looked pretty normal. Or maybe because majority of the people already went home. It was nice seeing the wild-ish side of this city. Can't wait to party soon! Ciao!

When in Seoul

When in Seoul

As we all know, I have been wanting to go to Seoul ever since I can remember. What was that? 2009? Yes! I've waited that long and I ain't backing up you know. We were actually supposed to go August but yeah we kind of went earlier than planned but it was very much needed so, yeah. Not complaining. Very timely for I am in a situation where everything's kind of a blur.

Narita Terminal 1

I have planned a 4-day trip to the city and here's my run down of the events. I will be posting a somehow in depth story of this though. But give me time, people! Hahaha

 Best Western Hotel

Migliore Mall

Anyways, Day 1 was okay. We left Narita at around 5 and arrived in Incheon National Airport at around 8. The bus guide dropped us to the hotel and we wasted no time and we went to this shopping place at Dongdaemun. After going up and down the shopping place, we then had dinner. It was okay. At this point, we were not really hungry but managed to eat anyways haha. Also, after some ikot-ikot there, totally out of the plan, we went straight to Ittaewon because we wanted to see the night life of people.

Bukchon Hanok Village Deck

This Might be of Importance

Day 2 was the busiest day for us. We went to the palaces, War Memorial, National Museum, Seoul Tower, Myeongdong, and Dongdaemun again.

Lotte World

Day 3 we allotted to LOTTE WORLD. But somehow we managed to go to Dongdaemun again. I actually like Myeongdong more than Dongdaemun but you know, complications.

Cheonggyecheon Stream

Day 4 was our last day. It was sad. But we managed to check out the Cheonggye Plaza and Stream before bus picked us up and dropped us to the airport. So that happened. It was overall a good trip. I can't wait to be back! Soon, please! Ciao!

Netflix and Chill...

Netflix and Chill...
Netflix and Chill

Totally signed for Netflix. Long time coming. Let me tell you a story. I have this friend who came over my place last year for movies and was like, "do you have Netflix?" And I didn't have so we ended up watching "Annabelle" at an illegal movie host. I fell asleep that time. One year later, earlier this month actually, friend came again and was like, "do you have Netflix?" Well I didn't have it yet that time either so we watched the third "Avengers" at the same illegal movie host again. Of course I fell asleep. Watching home movies with other person doesn't work for me. Watch alone, awake/fine. Watch with someone else, zzzzzzz/goodbye/dreamland/don't wake me. FACT. Anyways so I did sign up for it. It's my 3rd day to it and so far I have watched 3 old movies already. Chick flicks of course. Bachelorette, Love Again, and Bride Wars. Very chill. Although I should watch Netflix stuff.

Imagine if my skin condition turn back to this. Good heaven, please. So 10 years ago. Literally. What happened again?

So addicted with strawberries again lately. I totally skipped this addiction when it was in season last year but it kind of got into me again this year. It has always been a favorite of mine so it's good to rediscover my like for it. Okay that was random.

This is the second time I forgot the gawddamn key inside my locker. The first time, I was already at the doorsteps of my apartment FFS. Did I tell you that? I feel like I did because you know, anything stupid that I've done, I know I have shared hahaha. Anyways. Awhile ago, I was like, I know I put my keys inside my uniform bag (the one I leave inside the locker) but come break time, I checked the uniform bag to actually transfer keys but then I saw no keys!! So I was very confident that it's in my bag but when I was in the bus, I felt like checking my bag for keys and no luck. I checked more than enough to know that the keys are not in my bag so I knew I had to come back. I was like, I already checked awhile ago and it wasn't there! Also, goodness gracious knows where my spare keys are. But then I had to double check everything. At this point, I was very nervous. But voila, found it. At first I didn't see but I heard its sound so you know. Great.

As a final note, it's true isn't it? Sometimes you can't see the beauty of things right away. Sometimes it takes time. Say misery. You're in that situation because someone's teaching you a lesson. So while you're at it, don't judge. CRY. BREATH IN. BREATHE OUT. LET GO. MOVE ON. Ciao!

Belo BB Cream

April 20, 2016 0
Belo BB Cream

Shortly after I watched Coleen Garcia's commercial for Belo BB Cream, I was like, give me what my sister uses. Joke! And I kind of want to shrug it off nalang because I can't really do anything about it. But then my mom sent me a package thru dad and voila, didn't expect that really. Sometimes I think that my mom's brain cells are somehow connected to mine. PS: There's something appealing about its orange packaging. I didn't expect that either.

Being the "useful" blogger that I am, I searched what this is all about. Apparently, it's about treating hyper pigmentation and making skin lighter hence the promise of tone correction.

It's more liquidy than all other BBs that I used. Also, it has this very whippy/bouncy consistency that I can't explain.

It also has a very light/medium coverage. If you want to achieve a flawless look, you might have to use a lot. Or it's probably just me and my problematic skin. Who uses BB creams to achieve full coverage anyways? That's not its job description, right? Anyways, it's always good to have a product that promises things and doing the cover-up while it happens. I have used quite a lot of BB creams in my life though and I can't really see much of a difference. I don't know how this one would differ. Anyways, ciao!
