Ueno Hanami 2016

Ueno Hanami 2016

Goofy us

Goofy us 2.0

Ueno crowd

It was full-packed! Even though it was not yet full bloom time. Like, it was the start of Sakura. Literally. We went there March 27, 2016 and the bloom started on the 25th I guess.

Pretty

We ate a lot of foods! Okonomiyaki, yaki ika, cow tongue, long fries, and chocolate banana.

It was still pretty though even though it was way too early for the hanami.

Myself and Bry

It was beautiful lit up

The long fries was interesting and it was delicious! It was actually made from scratch. Not raw potatoes though, duh. Mashed potatoes and it was pushed through this cool little device and cooked in front of us.

        lanterns in Ueno

After our Hanami, we went to Ueno Market because he wanted to show me where he used to go where he still lived in Ibaraki and would go to his dad. It was nice. I would probably be afraid walking here alone though. Haha Ciao!

Cosmo World 2.0

Cosmo World 2.0

The ulitimate goal is to actually ride all the rides in here and I'm proud to say that we're about 85 percent done. Or so I think hahaha. Fraud stats. Basically, from last time, we've done the famous clock and 2 coasters. And this time, the splash thing, a haunted rail, and a spinning galaxy thing.

The haunted rail train ride was surprisingly short and from what I remember, I probably screamed thrice so yeah there's that but also, maybe it's just me. Blame it to coffee.

I'll never get tired of this city ever! Like, there's too much beauty in this place.

I kind of miss my red hurr. I wish it was easier to maintain.

It was kinda cold that night too. Just an FYI.

With the man

I look lost. Literally. For some reason, my hair kind of matches my pants in this one yet again.

With the infamous heart thing.

  Cute family having dinner

Delicious!

I liked this. I actually like melon pan by itself and who doesn't like ice cream, right? So this combo is just awesome! I had tiramisu and Bry got chocolate.

It was my first time to eat avocado not as fruit (or is it a veggie?) so I was kind of hesitant/confused because it is served with cheese but then you know, it all worked out.

Bryan's Meal (such a carnivore)

Too Foggy

Too Foggy

Not really into short posts but I just want to share that it was way to foggy yesterday (3/7/16). Like, after gym, I was kind of blown away because I thought it was just too much hot bath and sauna or maybe my poor eyesight but after blinking several times, I was like, oh this is real life then. So yeah, it was really really hard to deal with but I thought it was fun to kind of snap pictures of it and stuff. Not even that cold that time. Felt like I was walking thru some TriWizard maze or something. Ciao!

Red Hair NO MORE

Red Hair NO MORE

Don't get me wrong! I loved my red hair. But I felt like it was getting out of control and so I had to do something about it.

Actually, my plan was to actually grow it out until it's half and half. But as it's making its way down, I felt a little conscious that I'm not getting the look I wanted to achieve. If I were patient,it would   have been gorg but you know, being the impatient person that I am, I should have asked for that style from the very start. Also, why red? It bleeds when I shower with hot water. It kinda looks like a worn out red tbh. It's soooo hard to maintain. In short, not really for me.

My main problem was my roots. The line of discoloration was hella harsh. I was thinking to myself that if only I could ombre the shiz out of my hair, I'd be fine but we all know I can't do that so yeah.

After color

Still not happy with the color because I thought it'd be dark-ish but it turned lighter at the roots and so you know, brown and red is kind of not a good mix but I guess it'd do it for me for a while and so next time I'm thinking of buying like strawberry or raspberry brown which I don't get but is a thing so that I can ombre or somehow blend things out.

But I'm kind of happier. Also, I don't get "that look" that much anymore. Ciao!

HinaMatsuri.ひな祭り

HinaMatsuri.ひな祭り
March 3 is the day we celebrate little Girl's Day. Usually, you take them to a studio and take pretty pictures of them wearing traditional dresses or something. I'm not sure. Anyways, I celebrated by eating these themed food.

Sweetness overload

I loved the Strawberry! The green one was not that good though. At least for me.

Winner sushi

Then this sushi box. I don't know for sure what it has to do with sushi, seafood, or anything for that matter but I did eat this too.

CASE ON POINT!

Then I think people do display their Japanese Dolls and then there's this saying that it should be taken off after HINA MATSURI because then the girl would get married late. Actually, in our house, the dolls are in display 24/7 so yeah, hahaha. So alam na.

EXPLORING Takasaki

December 25, 2015 0
EXPLORING Takasaki

Takasaki has been one of my favorite cities to visit recently. It`s not much but going here kind of gives me a peace of mind of some sort.

When we were in Yokohama, I saw this double deck-ish kind of train compartment and it was my first time seeing one so I was like, what the heck is this? And Bry explained that it is a GREEN CAR and it is where passengers can somehow ride (for a cost) to avoid the hassle of standing and/or crowded trip. I initially thought it's only for airports and stuff.

As a rule, you have to tap your SUICA CARD right  away or else the attendant would have to ask you to pay in cash. What happened to us is that we didn't have a loaded card so cash it was. The fee actually depends on your destination and I remember ours was like 1000 yen plus each so yeah it`s kind of pricey but I can imagine how convenient this gimmick would be for late commuters or like PWD.

The smell of poultry. I haven`t even thought of that when I first exited the station but Bry kind of pointed it out. It was bothersome the first few times but I guess it grew on me and I don`t mind it much now.

Very subtle station.

It`s one of Gunma`s major station and with Shinkansen connections all over, I can see why. The station is actually quite big and quite lots of stalls to visit and there are actually quite a lot of local souvenir shops so awesome.

I have actually been here for maybe like 8 times or more but I still haven`t got in the building at the back. Although I should have. But I don`t know when I`ll be back here.

It was September when I first visited so it`s like a transition to fall but the trees there were kind of ahead the season so I was like, must take pictures!

As mentioned, they actually are somehow an agricultural city of some sort so they did have quite a lot of rice fields and stuff. The first time I visited, this is how it looked like.

Couple of visits after, they turned yellow. Am I the only one amazed how nature works?

Totally out of the plan but there`s actually a park nearby and obstacle courses and it`s totally not the ideal activity considering the time but it turned out to be a great idea.

When we visited, I remember this day being the day the moon turn BLOOD RED but I guess not in ASIA but we did get quite an awesome view that night with the stars surrounding and shining from above.

Then this happened.

Harvest season!

I saw how it happened. I feel like a proud momma. Hahahaha

Even this is nice to look at. Like, you can see that Japan is not only about Tokyo.

Fall.

Inside the train.

On the difference note, you`ll be amazed on how vintagey the trains are there. Some modern and some are like this and I`m not even complaining. It`s awesome as it is. It`s like Japan way back when. I suggest you do visit Gunma. Ciao!
