Know Where You Want To Go

Many people ask me where to go and what to do. I always ask them what do they want to see and go from there. I am a MILLENNIAL. However, I would also like to see more than just the tall buildings and busy life of people. So if I were to give myself an advice, I’d say go to Tokyo and then to a more rural place like the Kansai area. It is crucial to plan ahead because as a tourist, I’d assume you’d be on a very limited time. Say, a week. If you don’t plan your trip, you’d waste your precious time looking for a place to go and before you know it, you’re already leaving tomorrow and you’ve already missed a lot! It’s true that you can always just go back to Japan but why not make the most out of “this” trip? You know what I mean?

Don’t Miss the Tourist Spots

It’s a tourist spot for a reason. If it’s your first time going to Japan, it’s always fun to make a list of touristy things to do and cross off items one by one. Hachiko, check! Shibuya Crossings, check! Tokyo Tower, check! Then after crossing out everything on your list, you can then be creative and make the most out of your stay! A lot of veteran travelers would suggest you skip this and that but I say no. Just give it a try, you know! You never know what would capture your heart.

Japan Can Be Expensive

TAXI is KINDA EXPENSIVE! So OPT for train. Also, Japan is expensive because you’d have to book a hotel or a place to stay but Japan is actually NOT ALWAYS that expensive. That’s IF YOU KNOW WHERE TO GO! With that being said, you bet I mean skipping the expensive fine dining places of Japan such as those in your hotels and blend in with the locals! Not only do you know it’s GOOD, you’d also learn the culture a little bit. Also a tip for you, I know convenience stores and vending machines are everywhere but do you know that a 150yen bottle of cold coffee is sold for only 80yen at the supermarket? And while you’re at it, get those 1.5L bottled water for 60-80yen because that’s about 99 at the conbini as we call it. It adds up you know! YOU’RE WELCOME. Convenience is not free!

Shibuya Crossings

Follow The Rules

Don’t bring your country to Japan. Go as an individual with a hunger for new perspective instead. Follow basic rules. Don’t litter! Don’t smoke where you’re not supposed to. Although I must admit that it’s been a bit of problem lately but overall, be a local for a while!

EAT!

Caretta Shiodome illumination 2018

Caretta Shiodome illumination 2018

Frozen and Tangled. They actually did these two alternately so of course I had to see both. It was soo worth it. Now, having quitted my Tokyo job kind of made this all a little too bothersome so to speak but still , I kind of managed to get my lazy arse up and go about my day.

Frozen was up the first off day I had back from my trip to Korea so I did that. I don’t know if I told you guys before but Frozen as a whole movie, I kind of like. Anna, not so much. Elsa is okay. Although she was kind of just scared the whole time so I don’t like that about her. Anyways! The illumination! As always, I really liked the illumination here best! Like, there’s no competition going on thank you very much!

The next time I went, it’s up for Tangled! Loved that movie. Meh, actually...Okay so maybe not the place to talk about movies but yeah, it was hella perfect! Man, please do MULAN next year!

So like, around 9:00pm they change the theme for an hour and you know, I actually didn’t stick around much for it but it was Beauty and the Beast that they did from last year that they’re showing. I think I also do Winnie the Pooh but oh well. So yeah. That’s it.

Gorgeous! I will never get tired of this place. I may have mentioned that a million of times already but just for the record you know. I know there's already a record somewhere but I don't know where to pull it from so let there be a lot of record. Hahaha

They have the theme displays up the building if that's what you even call it but anyways. I believe this is the same rose they displayed last year with few of its petals down already. It's kind of nice. My goodness it'll be so epic to watch the last one fall. And capture it in slow motion! AHHH!

Also, I really think you would appreciate the VLOG better. I'm gonna try my best to get on it. OMG can I just share that I had to contact Instagram for a song copyright something? It was insane but all is well guys! CIAO!

Roponggi Illumination 2018

Roponggi Illumination 2018

Roponggi!

Hi there! So you know, the first time I went, the tower was this color which I know they do from time to time depending what there is to celebrate.

It was still beautiful as it is. But last year's team was kind of epic and this year's a no match, sorry. All they have for a show is the blinking thing they have once in a while.

selfie

I went twice to this place because the first time I went, it was kind of not a proper show yet hence there were crews assessing the situation and all that.

What's up, pants? Hang on there!

The second time was kind of unexpected. My people needed to do something there and tagged me along.

The second time I went, the show was on! Was so pretty!

It was RED. I like it red actually. Classic.

So yeah. That's about it actually. Nothing too fancy. I enjoyed though! See yah!

Taking Over Disneyland! 2018

Taking Over Disneyland! 2018

Disneyland! Happiest place on Earth indeed. If you don’t know, I have a series here on my blog that is about my alone trips. Oh well. I told you about my plan of going alone, yeah? So yeah. I never thought it would happen, actually. But it did!

My first ever Disney Ear. Will collect it and brag about it in the future!

Don’t care for filters so let’s just post this.

My love

We all know that one thing I don’t like about Disney much is that there are a lot of kids running wild! This look is kind of my anti-kid look. No hate! I look like a Halloween Disney character.

Turkey is love.

If you think eating turkey leg alone at Disney is awkward, it is.

I’m so happy I got to ride almost everything I wanted to ride though. Oh except the Monster Inc ride and Pooh ride that I’m still curious about but hey.

Home girl Snow White being cute.

My Frozen girls. The difference between this and other parade is that these two girls are in it.

Disney is perfect.

Disney Fam

Cinderella Castle

The parade.

Looks cute! I haven’t watched Mary Poppins yet but this makes me want to watch. I know I’ve said that before but yeah.

My love! Peter Pan is love!

I was hesitant to try this but it was okay. The churros was delicious! The orange thing I didn’t like that much. The powder is a winner. Very little ice cream but it’s all okay.

It was open! Also, what a cutie pie!

Yas!

It was beautiful!

Food!

The cake was not it. Nah. The food was okay. Not the best food. I just remembered reading a blog about the restaurant so I was so eager to try. I don’t even remember if they said it was good or whatever but yeah, tried it anyways. The cake was sour! Whipped cream saved the day.

Yas!

So beautiful at night.

Parade! I put my scarf on the floor, put my bag beside me, and slept for an hour waiting for the parade. Just like old times. I love Japan. Couldn’t have slept elsewhere.

All of this for my Peter Pan!!

Beautiful

Frozen

‭Churros! So warm and delish.

I had fun! It was new and challenging but I had lotsa fun! I don’t know if I’ll do it again but I don’t hate the idea of it.
