Someone Stole my Bike in Japan

December 13, 2018 1
Someone Stole my Bike in Japan
I know this is news to everyone but yes. Even a safe place like Japan has its flaws. This kind of stuff doesn’t happen everyday though so I guess luck isn’t on my side when this thing happened to me. Anyways, let me tell you my story.

Not my bike but this is where I parked it. They should be reliable for my bike! ... Kalma.

I usually ride my bike on my way to the station/work. One night (night shift), I left my bike at this bike parking service (like I always do) and went to work (like I always do). When I return in the morning, it’s gone!! I’ve heard stories where the culprit actually return the bike the other day to its rightful owner or just returning it where they got it but man, I’ve waited months and still nothing. I don’t know what to think anymore. Sometimes they say that the culprit probably missed the last train and can’t go home so they find an unlocked bike, use it, and return it the day after. Or maybe someone’s too drunk to walk or something. I don’t effin know. So yeah. I’ve actually looked for it in the neighborhood with no luck at all! Coz you know, I realize that if it were me, I probably wouldn’t go near the crime scene again in case the owner is looking for her/his thing and I would be caught with the lost item. Just saying. So yeah nothing.

Went to the police to report. It’s been two months already and no bike for Mikie. It’s pretty easy to report any stolen object in Japan. Will list down stuff that you might have to do. Might not be a step by step process but you’ll get the point. Also kind of personal.

* Go to a Koban (local police station). This is usually a small box near any train stations or you know, just about anywhere and report that your ____ is missing. In my case, my bike.

* The police asked for the bike’s proof of purchase. Well I’m guessing they don’t really expect you to know the registration number and stuff but if you kept your receipt, it’s actually written in there.

* “When did you last see it?” Standard. I’ve been asked this 3 different times so I’m sure you’d be asked.

* The police asked me to tell him how much would I be willing to pay for my bike if I were to buy it from a friend. I actually said ZERO. LOL! My bike’s kind of rusty but hey, it does the job! He didn’t accept zero so I said 3000 yen. Might as well be 300. Anyways!

* The police asked me to identify some marks/stickers or anything helpful to find the bike! Mine has this mansion parking sticker but that’s about it!

* KANJI yup! I went alone so I had to deal with this on my own. So basically I was supposed to go with Hidemi but homegirl is at work! So yeah, instead of waiting, I braved the Japanese! It wasn’t actually too bad! The police filled out most of the report sheet and just asked me to write my name and address. That’s about it. So I suggest you have something to copy from if you don’t know it by heart already.

* Done!

The waiting game starts. I want my bike back of course! Madapa sana yung kumuha! I’m still hopeful it’d come back to me one day. But yeah, whatever.

La Tarafuku Buffet (Sea Paradise)

 La Tarafuku Buffet (Sea Paradise)

Family that ea Anyways I also have a vlog about this place so if you’re interested please watch. Click here! :) Thank you.

The food is a bit low the okay line. So if you’re around the area, look for somewhere else to eat. You’re welcome.

This one is okay

Despite it’s creamy, yummy, cheesy look, this one is not as good. Disgusting even. I still finished mine though. You know what my sister did? Sandwiched it between two plates. Yup. That’s how bad it is. Dry! Bland! Offensive.

Potato is potato. I like

Also dry

Oily. But good. Good but oily. Yeah. I'm pretty sure it's olive oil though. No harm done.

Dry

Food is food!

The desert corner though! Good! Also enjoyed the chocolate fondue! They have nacho chips there that you can dip and it was soooo good!

This is probably what we ate most. Deserts,

My sister’s fried plate.

The roast pork I enjoyed the most! Me likey. I also had a lot of salad. It’s probably just me though! Somebody somewhere might enjoy eating here. Ciao! :)

(under the) Sea Paradise 2018

(under the) Sea Paradise 2018

Yas! It’s been more than 2 years since I went here so I’m really happy to be back with the ugly ducklings and the mother goose! JK.

Sea Paradise

I have told you guys before that this is my childhood. I was so excited to have brought my sisters back to theirs again. They don’t remember much from it though it seems like but I’m sure they enjoyed their stay now. Actually, my sister Mika, used to cry really hard in this place. Pain in the arse.

Mamita

My favorite part of the show. I think Beluga might be my inner animal. They just carry so much grace. They’re so cute.

Also something I am very fascinated by are jelly fishes. No idea.

Sea Horse

No fcks given. So fat. Me!!

Also one of my favorite place in this park is this big ass sardines’ aquarium with sharks in it. Also the sting ray looks so happy. I feel you sister.

The two turtles are holding someone hostage it feels like. I don’t know. LOL. Are they? Or maybe they’re just being sweet. They probably adopted the poor thing.

Fave food ever

There are a lot of attractions in Sea Paradise so you know, you’ll never run out of things to do here. Also, on regular days, you can definitely do everything in a very short time and just do everything you like twice, thrice, your decision!

I also like the sanctuary!

Cute

 Yas

Likey

After the animal festivities, it’s time to go to the park. Likey. I like how it’s 2 in 1. And I like how it's not so crowded (when we went). You know, the introvert in me is screaming. Silently of course.

The tower

Low key my favorite ride of it all. Okay probably second but yeah this one is very relaxing. Like I said, a taller and bigger version of this would probably be a very big hit to the public. Maybe. The one thing I don’t like about these towers is that I have to walk. Tamadiching lang.

The view

Viking

Low key my other favorite ride. I’ve outgrown this ride to be honest but I still rode it anyways. People were probably looking at my craziness. I don’t really care. LOL.

Tale as old as time

You can always have them all!

Also one of my favorites.

So gorgeous at night. You must spend the day and night at the park so you could have a full experience of the place. Likey!

Sea Paradise

Lights will guide you home.

Louvre vibes. That’s all! It’s around the area. Near Tokyo. Near Yokohama. Classic. Childhood. So if you can, please visit! Ciao!

I actually just saw the ad for this shop on Facebook and since it's literally blocks away from where I work, I came to try. It's actually a shop that serves savory ice cream (kind of). Coisof is a shop that serves sesame seed flavored ice cream. I know I'm not gonna be a fan but I tried it anyways.

I tried the mixed flavored one so to taste both flavors at the same time. The flavors are white and black sesame seed and the balls are rice pops. The rice pops are my favorite! Soooo good!! Don't skip the rice pops please! Can I just say that when I went there, they have a promo that they can put more rice balls for free and I was like, no thanks! But man, when I tried it, I was like, more more more!!

selfie

It's actually not bad. I kinda like it to be honest. I might try it again soon. You know, there are just a lot of things to try and look forward to! :)

We all know this is unnecessary.

It's been a good 24 years and I am still amazed at these replicas.

With my Bru

Tita Elvie who sponsored our dinner. Actually, Tita often mention that if she would have to live another life, she'd choose to have me and bru (her niece) to be her daughters. I don't know about that! It would be a riot!!! Also, I'd re-live my life as is.

liver thing

I used to not mind livers but you know, maybe 2 or 3 years ago, I don't like it na. It's weird. I can eat probably a very very small amount but more than that, meh. The liver dish was good though. Just not the dish for me.

classic ramen set

Classic taste. Well nothing special. But might be better than what most people call good in the Philippines. True story.

And then I came back probably a week after all by myself and had Tonkotsu Ramen and this donburi. The tonkotsu was alright. Again, nothing special. The donburi was kind of good though.

I'm certain I can do this at home but you know, sometimes the grass is greener on the other side. Won't say ALWAYS to that though. Anyways, that's it. Ciao!
