Nihonjins!

Nihonjins!

My Japanese friends! Besides the money that my part-time job gave me, it gave me friends. Solid 5 friends that I won’t forget forever!

Side dishes! Oh why are they so good?

Baba club! We’re old. It’s nice to just casually eat with these two. Work as you know is always a lot of work but when we’re out, we have fun!

Meat all day everyday!

Korean pancake! :)

I was so full I can’t even! Always like this when we eat out!

Yummy! I can’t wait to be out with these girls again! They’re crazy but they’ve been my wall for quite a while now. Will post about this soon again!

Barbara's Heritage Restaurant

Barbara's Heritage Restaurant

Family

My momma took us here a day after papa’s Birthday because I guess they were having their own party so they were closed. Something like that. It was nothing I’ve seen like before. My mom said it’s like the restaurant Zamboanga but I can’t really remember much from it except their Kare-Kare was good.

Lechon Belly

It’s only good if you’d have a piece and not a plate. Or maybe it’s just me.

The sotanghon was good! Or at least that what my momma said.

The place was very nice. Ancient. Definitely something I saw from films and clips from the past.

our plates

I have no idea who’s plate this was because it was my sister Mika who was taking pictures.

carnivore

yup

My favorite amongst them all. Seriously. I can probably eat the whole thing! Okra, talong, kang kong, and mangga with bagoong! FTW.

cultural show

The show was very pleasant to watch. Very refreshing.

We sold our sister Mika as well. They were like, “do you have a voluteer from this table?” My sister Mari and I were like, “Go Mika! Mika! Mika!” like barbarians.

The Girls

We also did a photo sesh with them before going home. It was a very delightful experience. Very educational. Nice.

Pocky ダブル

Pocky ダブル

Pocky Double!! Soo nice. I saw this recently and of course I have to try. I think it’s me getting old but I haven’t been craving for sweets for quite a long time now. But you know! Actually I don’t. Haha

Pocky Double

チョコラ and フロマージュ

Both are nice but if I have to choose, I’d pick the チョコラ (CHOCOLA). I like that it’s a little bitter! The formage is kind of sweet but it’s also kind of nice! :) The stick is sooo nice though. But I don’t know if I’d like to eat it on its own. That’s all!

Girl's Night Out @ Shibuya

Girl's Night Out @ Shibuya

It's been a while since I hanged out with people my age. I mean, we see each other at work but you know what I mean? Like, hang-out excluding work. So it was really refreshing.

some spicy soup

It was delicious! It made me miss SoKor a little bit. Okay, a lot! The waiters are actually Koreans and you know, your girl can actually speak very very very little Korean and so I did speak with them in Korean and magic! With all the confusing vowels of the Korean language, who knew I'm pronouncing things right?

my crew

 I had so much fun!

Also, we played with filter apps non-stop. Like, so kiddy! You know, we're all relatively young but in our group, you kinda know the difference. The 25s and 27 are talking about life, 23 being soooo naughty and sometimes rude, 21 being neutral and quiet, and the 17 being shy and observing everyone but mainly coping up with 23's naughtiness. Our differences make us bond like nothing else. Man, you learn something everyday.

Holler from 25 and 21

Buddies!

K-pop lurkers

All in all, it was really a good night. I was able to go in my favorite city, eat meat, talk about life, wander, get lost, and all the things in between. I  believe I was able to make new memories that I will forever carry on. Ciao!

How I Spent Christmas

How I Spent Christmas

Year End Party of our company was as usual uneventful. I won a prize this year though! I remember a friend who already left told me that she won a digital camera back then and what I actually got was 3 bottles of dish washing liquid and a box of tissue.
Life is tough. Hahaha but whatever.

Oh actually, 2 hours before the Year End Party, we had a mini get together/Christmas feast between us line members.

My plate

Year End Food

Even though already bloated from the line party, I still ate almost all the fries and it's not in the picture but they have this tub of EDAMAME which I shared with ate Michelle. And cakes!!!

Cake 1 (1st Day)

Cake 2 (2nd Day)

Cake 3 (3rd Day)

Can't get enough! We had cake for 3 consecutive days.

On the 25th, I went to my Tita May's house and we both went to her friend's house and man, I ate a lot! It's like we're in a new reality show called Me VS Food.

After I feasted, I slept on the couch and I barely remember anything that happened. It was a good day. Ciao!

Meiji Super Cup Ice Cream Review

Meiji Super Cup Ice Cream Review

Aloha! It's been so hot here lately. And here's how I somehow deal with it. Well there's more! This is a brand of ice cream that's kind of all over the place. And here's what I think of them.

As much as I think this would be my favourite, not really. I mean, it doesn't really taste like the way I like it to taste.

This one is okay. I mean, it's not the best tasting Vanilla ice that there is but you know, it's cold and sweet so it somehow serves its purpose. The texture though is kind of rough, I feel like.

I don't know what is up with their formula but this one is fine. Not a fan of the blend though. I think I like Matcha flavored ice cream when soft served.

This one though is yummy. I actually didn't think I would like this but yeah they nailed it!

This one is my favorite! Like, yas! Really nailed it. If you're ever gonna get something from this brand, I suggest you go straight for this. You're welcome. Also, are we keeping up with Rio Olympics? I noticed this will sponspor Tokyo 2020 Winter Olympics. Ciao!
