Random is the Name of the Game

May 03, 2013 2
Random is the Name of the Game
I just want to share with you 5 random things about me. I was actually supposed to name it 'facts' instead of 'things' but fact is just a strong word. I think this would be a good reference 1 or 2 years from now because circumstances change. Who knows?

As of the moment,

1. Miranda Kerr is my all time favorite Victoria Secret's Angel. I don't know but we can't deny that she's way too angelic and charming.

OH MIRANDA, WHY SO PRETTY?
2. As much as they look good on photos, I don't really find candy sprinkled anything appetizing. It freaks me out actually. It's probably just my teeth but I feel like there's too much friction happening inside my mouth whenever I would eat candy or choco sprinkles. Definitely not for me. And unless they're melted, I don't like chocolate chips/kisses as well.

3. Green tea flavored anything is my favorite flavor. Name it! I generally don't like it when people use #FOODPORN on their Instagram pictures but this is just the perfect picture to hash tag that.

4. I used to be obsessed with korean bands and shows but now, not as much. In line with that, I've been listening to The Script way too much.

5. I watched all Pirates of the Caribbean and I even watched some of it twice or something but I can't remember any significant story that happened in any of the movies. Oh well.

So that's it guys. I hope there's nothing I said above that you know already and I hope you guys know me a little bit better now. :)  By the way I got all these pictures from We Heart It and I'm pretty sure they got these from Tumblr which they got  from somewhere as well so yeah credit where credit's due! :)

SNSD's I Got a Boy MV. Review.

January 02, 2013 0
SNSD's I Got a Boy MV. Review.
As much as I don't want to say that I pretty much think that they copied some other girl group's style, I kind of think they did. But I'm pretty impressed that they actually tried to do a different kind of song. And dancing. And look.

So it all started with this pink thingy which I thought would be the theme of the music video. Something Girl's Generation is known for. It's much like their GEE music video where they played the mannequin part and barbie-ish thingy.

And then it became like this. And I got a little confused for a second. Am I watching a 2NE1 music video or what? They look nice here though. And the background is dope.

I'm kind of surprised though that it wasn't TIFFANY nor JESSICA who made the introduction. I truly believe that they all deserve to lead somehow. Like, in this music video, it was SOOYOUNG who actually introduced the group. Like, I'm not a big Sooyoung fan but I'm so proud of her.

But for some reason, this happened all of a sudden and I was like WTF did just happen? Am I watching Wonder Girls or what? Mmm..

Nod bad of a video. Quite messy but bearable. I like their dancing of course. Can I just compliment Sunny's hair dos for a while? I like how fun her hair styles looked.

Oh well. That's all I can say.

Why I love Big Bang.

July 29, 2012 0
Why I love Big Bang.

Big Bang might not be the first K-Pop group that I noticed, listened to, and loved but as far as I am concern, they are one of the best that I came across.

This post might not be able to give information for those who are not yet familiar with the group but I hope you check them out. Come be a VIP. You know you want it! ;)

So why do I like them? It's hard to put into words actually. Really. I think it’s because their talent is just so pure that you can’t actually break down stuff. You know! Like chemicals. It's also hard to resist not to like them more and more. Something like an addiction.

I like their personalities too. How did I know?

Come on K-pop fans. We check their lifestyles, their pasts, their friends, relatives, neighbors and whatever left for there to check. Yes? That may be exaggerated. For I only check on their lifestyles. Wait, I do profile check too. Anyway. They are also hilarious. In many ways. I usually type in “Big Bang Funny” on YouTube and get a lot. Some videos I already watched 10 or more times.

See, I tend to digress. I can’t really explain. Just in case you're wondering, and I know you're by now assuming, YES. GD is my favorite member. I won't say that he's the most handsome member though. I would like to give that credit to TOP. And probably not the funniest. Because I'd say that would be Daesung. But why him? Certainly not because he's the leader because I don't usually look at things that way. I go for the underdog most of the time. Well, not that I look at things that way. So I like GD not because of reasons like that. I like him because I like him. Well, that may sound cliche but that's the way it really is.

One thing that I also like about them is that on stage, they really look very enthusiastic and that it's really obvious that they do like what they're doing. Something like they just look so nice and it's as if they're just doing what they love on stage. Something like that.

So yeah! I wish to see you guys on the front seat. VIP stand up. Everybody stand up.

K-Pop. Sorry 4x.

January 23, 2012 0
K-Pop. Sorry 4x.
Why do you think K-Pop or Korean Pop is such a hit? Well, I’m assuming 99% of you, who’s reading this right now, is a non-native speaker of Hanggul or the Korean language so I’m assuming you initially can’t understand what they’re actually saying in a particular song. So don’t answer me with “I can relate.” Because we both know that’s a lie. Well if you're that remaining 1% and you're actually a native speaker, lucky for you. You can either sit here and listen or you can leave the conference hall as you wish. So going back to that 99%, you might still not understand what they’re saying but I’m assuming that since you had that particular song translated somewhere or at least was presented a translation over the Internet, you now understand it. However, the fact that you had to have it translated, is a sign that you were interested in it even before you knew what they’re actually trying to tell you.

Thinking about it, isn’t it time consuming to be a K-Pop fan? Shouldn't a song be the one knocking into us and not us trying to get in a song?

South Korea knows what they’re doing. They know looks can kill. I know you searched whether or not someone got a plastic surgery by comparing their pre-debut and present pictures. Guilty! I know you know what I’m talking about. Also, South Korea knows that an idol should at least have a talent. It’s either they can sing, rap, dance, act, host, or at least be funny so it wouldn’t be boring having them/the group in a talk show or something. We happen to like that.

Don’t get me wrong though. I’m not telling you that that’s your only basis of liking a particular idol or group or whatnot. I know you saw something special in them, a part of you at least. Or maybe just the looks. Who knows?

Now, I don’t have the exact answer why you love K-Pop but I’m pretty much sure it did change your life. And change is good. Other people might not get why you listen to a song you don’t even understand but I’d like to remind you that a song is an art. And art, more often than not, can’t be explained.

I am not saying that it is bad to like K-Pop or to stop liking K-Pop ok? I'm a fan myself.
