Unli Scallops in Manila

Image
We went to a place that we saw on a Facebook post. We were skeptical at first because it's not common for a place to have such item on their all you can eat menu so we called before we went and they said that they actually have it everyday. We also opted for the boodle fight style but you actually have to pay extra for the banana leaves. Picture above is them arranging the leaves.  family that eats together sometimes lol  Yup! We had loads of these. I personally ate scallops until I can't no more! The scallops were a bit tiny and it's like 1/3 the size of what I usually eat but if you had like 20 plus of it, then it actually don't matter as much! The other food that they served were okay but the scallops were good! I just love me some scallops you know!  The lechon sisig in moderate portion is actually bomb too!  This is actually our last "girl's night" dinner edition if you will. I had fun! And my tummy was happy! That's all you folks!

Officially Unemployed

I love it. I know I have shared my sentiments with some friends but as of this writing, I have nothing but gratitude that I get to spend my time resting and planning the new chapter of my life. I don't know if I ever blogged about anything related to my work in the Philippines recently but here it is. I'll give you a tour.  Von Voyage! I actually didn't know the meaning of this until about awhile ago but yeah I guess it's not all that common to say in Japan? Is it just me? OF COURSE. ALWAYS JUST ME, DUH. My last lunch break with my St. Anthony fam!  It's kinda sad that I don't get to share my knowledge or experience to the new recruits as much but I'm sure they're gonna be well taken care of by my colleagues/batchmates there. If anything, we have a senior staff that I got to be so close to especially during the last few months of my stay.  I'm just happy that I got to spend my last day with everyone! I mean, it's inevitable and work is not forev...

Swimming with Fam

So... we went to this resort because my mom wanted to? We were actually supposed to go on her birthday but they kind of had a special lockdown during that time so the resort closed down for some reason. But then when we went there, one of the workers admitted that they were in quarantine. Again, stop quarantine shaming my friends.    Yup, that's a plant I'm holding.  This is what happens when two sisters from different cities meet for the first time in a long time. Talking about my mom and my auntie.  I love reunions like this coz' I get to see my family.  Obsessed with this pool noodle.  Love it! For most of it, the weather was perfect.  There was a slight moment when the sun lit so bright and even up to this writing, the situation right now is that I am recovering from sunburn.  PING I love it. That's it guys! We went to a place called V Farm in Bulacan and it's not much but it's clean and not so crowded. And I heard it's fairly new as well so i...

My Baby's 1st Birthday

Image
It was my Luna's first Birthday! I would be lying if I tell you she liked the cake but here are just some pictures to commemorate the happy celebration of my daughter.  I don't know whose fault it is actually. The cupcake baker or the dogs in my house. Coz you know, we don't know.  They're probably not used to eating healthy stuff like this liver and carrot mixture. It's kinda cute though so I'll just let this one go. My mom was actually like, with that amount, you could have brought almost 20 pork barbecue for the dogs but you know, not the point.  Can I just flex the party hat that I made for her? I mean, it looks simple but this one is a product of the creativity and will power of 6 medical technologists combined.  My Luna's happy face is just soo priceless.  She knew something was up. I am so proud of my dog because she's a dog with a lot of emotions.  But of course we also have something for the hooman to consume. I love you, Luna! You're the b...

Mama's Quarantine Birthday

Image
Ohana!  As I grow older, I find it harder to eat a lot. Charot! But yeah I tend to be more pickier with my food but it doesn’t really mean I eat less or anything. Just you know, I kind of eat food that I like and skip food that I don’t like as much.  For my mom’s 52nd birthday, we went to a place called Yakimix. I have blogged about this place of course but now it's because it's my mother's birthday. MEAT SELECTION Their meat was just not it. I don't know. I feel like it's a hit or miss with this one.  Their Japanese section was also not impressive. I don't know. I remember it being more acceptable in a sense.  I enjoyed eating it though. I mean, it was not bad. Just not good.  There's also a significant decrease in the number of variants they offer. Sad.  LOL I remember my auntie asking me when I got the broccolis. Well, if you may ask, I got it from the beef bulgogi thingy.  This is my first plate and I actually got more or less the same food for my ...

FULLY VACCINATED

Image
In this post, I just want to share that your girl is now fully vaccinated. I don't know how it will be able to protect me or everyone around me but I hate hate hate how relaxed I feel in general. Like, pre-vaccination, I would wash my hands maybe every 15 minutes. I never touch anything at work without wearing gloves, and all that. After vaccination, I kinda lean towards my usual way pre-COVID. I still wash my hands though! Just not as often. I don't know. To be honest, I feel like I'd catch or maybe already caught the virus again at some point. But you know, KNOCK ON WOOD cause your girl will fly to Japan soon! Did you guys miss my Japan post? Is it just me? LOL. So yeah there's that. My second dose was sooo much better. No symptoms at all! Well, except for the pain on the injection site. I still took paracetamol like I did before so I don't know if I prevented the symptoms altogether or if there's no symptoms at all. I guess the first dose was so traumatic t...

Caught on Film!

HI FOLKS! So not so long ago, my co-workers and I had a talk about our childhood pictures. Well, it kinda started when one of us showed a picture when she was younger and basically she asked us to bring a physical photo album of our childhood pictures sort of (which we didn't end up doing by the way). I am lucky because my mom made sure to have all these and a whole lot more photos taken when I was younger. So yeah! I'm actually just gonna repost these as I've already shared these with everyone on my old blogspot. Peace! I have no recollection whatsoever of this so it's nice to have these photos to look at and just know that it happened. It's kinda why I keep a blog as well. I guess I got it from my momma.  My biological dad. I don’t know and I don’t remember anything from it but my mom said I’ve been to Ueno Zoo many times before. My only memory of it was quite recent when I went with my Nepali friends.    How cute am I with those ternos?  One thing I remember from...
