Myeongdong | When in Seoul

Image
I know I've mentioned already but I'm gonna say it again anyways. I liked Myeongdong better than Dongdaemun. I don't know. I feel like it's nicer to shop around here. With the lights and all! Dongdaemun is okay though. No hate! I liked the vibes. It reminds me of Izesakicho in Yokohama. Kind of chill and all that. Beauty haven! I liked it. Skin care shops here and there and I can't complain. No wonder Koreans have good skin. Great skin actually. This is where I got all the beauty stuff I took back home.  These are too cute to miss Also, I noticed that juicing is kind of a thing there. Like, I saw strawberries, lemons, oranges, and loads of other fruits ready for juicing.  Meeting the celebrity The guy who can speak Filipino. I watched the video and I actually didn't know that it was in Myeongdong. But anyways. I saw him in action. From afar. That's all. Ciao!

Seoul Tower | When in Seoul

Image
When I graduated in university, I kept a journal where I would want to go when I'm in Seoul and stuff that has something to do with the travel in general. I remember that I wanted to walk my way up this tower entrance. Wrong!  I'm so glad I knew better! First, we don't have much time. Second, we don't really know how. Third, buddy's feet hurt. Fourth, it's so hassle and mataas at ayaw namin mapagod. Hahaha so yeah riding the cable car up was the best decision we've made that time.  Cable Car Selfie Hello Tower It's a tower above a mountain so you know it's really pretty high up there. This one is the view from when we got out the cable car. Already pleasing, right? Seoul Sunset Love locks! Couples usually lock their what...

War Memorial of Korea | When in Seoul

I kind of like history and it's only because when I was in highschool, I can perfect a test from my class or something. Easy to memorize, no computations involved.  Totally got nothing to do with why we went here. We went here because apparently, according to my friend TripAdvisor it's the #1 thing to do when in Seoul. Yup. Didn't see that coming? It's a cool place! Like, no sarcasm or anything, I swear. It really is. Also, free admission! :) This captured my attention. Because I think it's true in a lot of ways. And it's sad if you think about it. But that's how it goes. Like people at work, they always say I'm lucky because I'm still free. Free of obligations and that I don't have my own family and all that jazz. They're right. Because unlike them, I work for my own survival. They do it for someone else. I think I should enjoy my "freedom" more then. While it's free.  Did you know that it is mandatory for guys to enter the mil...

When in Seoul

Image
As we all know, I have been wanting to go to Seoul ever since I can remember. What was that? 2009? Yes! I've waited that long and I ain't backing up you know. We were actually supposed to go August but yeah we kind of went earlier than planned but it was very much needed so, yeah. Not complaining. Very timely for I am in a situation where everything's kind of a blur.  Narita Terminal 1 I have planned a 4-day trip to the city and here's my run down of the events. I will be posting a somehow in depth story of this though. But give me time, people! Hahaha  Best Western Hotel Anyways, Day 1 was okay. We left Narita at around 5 and arrived in Incheon National Airport at around 8. The bus guide dropped us to the hotel and we wasted no time and we went to this shopping place at Dongdaemun. After going up and down the shopping place, we then had dinner. It was okay. At this point, we were not really hungry but managed to eat anyways haha. Also, after some ikot-ikot there, total...
