At last!! I wanted to go here for the longest time and so glad I did! I was actually supposed to go with beshy Glaiza and her sister but you know, family! :D So glad I caught up with her in Harajuku though. As you may all know, we live in the beautiful (?) province of Sagamihara and to get to Shizuoka, it took us about 2 hours I think. There are two things in Japan that I am always looking forward to. Sakura and Illuminations. Earlier this month, I got a chance to see at least 10 Sakura trees in full bloom and I couldn't be more thankful. Of course it's nothing compared to Nakameguro, Ueno, and somewhere else (yet!) but it was so glorious! I actually remember last year, about February, it was for already showing some action so I guess that trees here in general bloom earlier than...

SelfieConveniently just 15 minutes away from work, I decided to go after my shift and was left in surprise with what I saw. Well nothing there yet when I arrived because it's quite early but you get the point. When the clock chimed at 5pm, everything suddenly turned pink.
