Santa Monica Crepes | Harajuku

January 30, 2017 0
Santa Monica Crepes | Harajuku

If you've ever been to this part of Tokyo, you'd know that it's all about crepes. Or maybe just like one of our customers from New York said, "TOO KIDDY". Anyways. I decided to try Santa Monica crepes because they have 2 shops in one street and that made me think this place is good. Let's see!

Chocolate Banana (Double Whipped)

Classic. I mean, if there's a crepe shop that can mess this up, I don't even know if they have the right to operate. Back when I was still a kid and less complicated, this is my go-to flavor because you know, can't be bothered with all the fancy flavors and stuff. This is not top of the roof good but it was a familiar taste.

Santa Monica
Look at that!
Strawberry something

This was delicious! The balance was so good! This combo might be my favorite in the sweet department.

Matcha

Hype. I didn't like this as much as I liked the strawberry one. But it was also good.

Crepes
Pizza Crepe

Yaaasaassss! My fave! I was actually hesitant to try their food selection crepes but man, it was soooo good!!!!! I highly recommend trying this. I have a sweet tooth and I liked this better than their sweet selection. Like, what?

Avocado Shrimp thing

Not as good as the pizza but also very good!!!!

Caramel Milk Tea

They also have bubba teas there and yeah this is just what it is nothing special. Will surely try more in the future! Ciao!

Omotesando Illumination 2016

Omotesando Illumination 2016

I don't really have much business to do in Omotesando except for MAC but since it's close to Harajuku, I went anyways.

Burberry Scarf ;)

The Beverly Hills of Japan (or so they say)

Simple as it may seem, it was actually very pretty!

Omotesando

Everything was magical

It's a very pretty place to visit. Too bad it ended already as of this writing but I'm really glad I was able to go! That's all! Ciao!

A Quickie in Shibuya

Shibuya Crossing

From another interview. I was really hoping I'd get the job but it turned out they're just finding reserves for their expansion that who knows when will happen. But I was very happy with the interview. I was even happier this time than the last one. And it turned out the first company that I went to is not that good. Well according to the consultant I've talked to anyways. So there's that. Kind of on the way so I went to Shibuya.

I really wanted to roam around the city but I have work that night so I just ate ramen. And stopped by a little while in Hachiko park. Not its official name. Haha. I also wanted to drop by Lush but we all know that it's gonna take a lot of time choosing what to get and all that so I didn't dare enter.

Anyways. I was in the park, right? I saw a lady holding a flower passed by me and I didn't really mind and then I turned to look at some other stuff I don't know and then I glanced back to Hachiko and I saw the flower there. It's very touching. What a nice gesture. So yeah.

Then I decided to eat ramen. Not only ramen but at Ichiran ramen. According to blogger Cheesie, it's the best that there is. I had to fall in line for 20 minutes to get in the restaurant. And another 5-10 minutes to get seated.

Loneliest looking Ramen

I don't know how I feel about it. I'm definitely not impressed the first time but I'm also sure I'm doing it wrong. So basically, they give you a checklist and you decide how you like your ramen. And I happened to check "futsu" in everything and I don't know. I will do it differently next time. I really have my hopes high for this ramen place because I trust Cheesie. I'm gonna give it one more try. Kind of. Hahaha.

Shibuya

So yeah I had fun! Even though it was a very short stop, I was so happy to be back. Until then, Shibuya. Ciao!

A Quickie in Harajuku

A Quickie in Harajuku

For some reason, I'm trying to venture in a new career so I'm kind of going for interviews here and there. This one was not in Harajuku but I went after the interview anyways. Mind you! This is not even "because it's on the way" kind of situation. I have to transfer twice I believe? Dedication.

The Harajuku Station

Ancient looking station that's also a touristy spot because tourists seem to like to take pictures here. Which is inconvenient sometimes but whatevs.

I actually thought of going to Shinjuku but I guess my feet killed me that time so I was like NVM. I don't like it in Shinjuku anyways. But you know, I should try to wander again and maybe I'd have a different opinion. People change. Yeah?

Hot Cocoa

Hot Cocoa on a hot afternoon. It doesn't makes sense. After wandering around, I decided it's time to eat. I stopped by a place called La Pausa. It's actually like Saizeriya in a sense.

Good Ambiance
Potato Fry
Tuna and Spinach

I guess it's safe to say that I like Saizeriya better. It gets me. I don't know. I actually went to Harajuku for Crepes but I got creeped out by some foreigners handing out flyers. If you've been to Harajuku, you'd know the "foreigners" all over Takeshita Street. Can't a woman walk peacefully? For goodness sake! Anyways, Ciao!

A Quickie in Akihabara

A Quickie in Akihabara

Akihabara

If anything, I'm really happy that I came here because you know, it's not a place I would go to on my own. It's just that I don't really know what to do there. Not interested.

Vape Shop

 Main reason of coming here.

Had a healthy dinner. It's been a while since I had shabu-shabu and it's not like how I remember it. I know for sure that I'm not doing it right.

Sukiyaki style on the left and no idea what's on the right. It sure has some fancy name but it doesn't really taste like anything. WATER?

I do like the gadgets that I have but I don't go gaga over other techie stuff and that's mainly what this place is known for. I heard that there's a shrine here for IT students and the like. Anything that has to do with gadgets basically.

I've been told that this place gets really busy.

Akihabara Station

Maid cafe I kind of want to experience though. I know it's creepy hearing that from me because I imagine this kind of place being popular with creepy guys. Or is it just me? Speaking of creepy, whilst walking, someone intentionally walked in front of me and seems like he wanted to kiss/head butt me. Whichever. Like, that close. These are all but assumptions you know. For all we know, I can be wrong! I should therefore go back and see this place in its glory and not when it's night time and everything's already closed. Except probably the maid cafes. Creepy. Ciao!

Tokyo Tower is Love

Tokyo Tower is Love

We finally did it. We went to Tokyo Tower because I told Bry that it's been ages since I last went so after we watched the Hunger Games, we went to TT.

For some reason, I know I have been here but I definitely have no memory of it whatsoever.

I don't know if it's like an everyday thing but when we went, they were having this food bazaar that we fully enjoyed.

Beautiful. I told Bry that if I see The Eiffel Tower I might cry.

We weren't able to take pictures of all the food so bare with me. What I'm eating here is grilled saba which was awesome! I think it's like 350/piece and like 1000/3 pieces but the man selling was kind enough to give us 2 each for the price of one. Awesome sauce.

We also had this dashi udon which was nice because it was chilly that day. They come with daicon sushi which we survived to eat. Not really our cup of tea. I had to force Bry to eat his sushi. We also had karaage, grilled chicken, and taiyaki. So as you may know, we had a full stomach before we even go up.

It was rather a quick line up but yeah it was really crowded.

They should have a veranda where you can just lay down, drink wine, and stuff. I think that would be a great idea.

I think we were able to see everything that night. We were stopping at like every 5 windows or so to check out the view.

We also went up the special observatory because why not?

My companion.

People were getting crazy over this glass thing. It's not that scary as it is but I guess they were scared of what might happen but you know, chill. A child even jumped really hard on this and the staff was just like looking like he doesn't give a f. Bry even jumped and you know might have caused panic to some. But you know guys, they wouldn't put it there if it is dangerous.

They have this One Piece thing going on. Not a fan.

Tokyo Tower Selfie

Souvenir for the night. Quite amazed at this. I suggest you getting this and hopefully you see that uncle staff which will tell you you're beautiful (in your own language). Ciao!
