Top 5 Snacks in Harajuku

Image
Crepes! I mean, if you like sweet stuff, (even if you don’t) you should try crepes in Harajuku before leaving Japan. If you ever visit Takeshita Street, you can find a lot of crepe shops you can’t miss it. I have tried crepes from all of it and they all taste the same so don’t even bother choosing. It’ll just give you headaches. My favorite is this WALNUT CHEESECAKE CREPE that they only sell in Angels Heart. The oldest crepe shop in Harajuku. I wonder why they don’t have it elsewhere because this right here is perfection.  There’s this different crepe shop where they put brûléed pudding instead of whip creams and fruits and all that and for some reason, it’s simple and delicious. I think I like the walnut better though. IDK. I want to try it one more time but based from experience, sometimes once is enough.  There’s this shop. Two snacks! Also recently, they launched the white sauce version. The difference is very subtle. It’s actually both yummy. The White Sauce version. yas ...

A Quickie in Akihabara

Image
Akihabara If anything, I'm really happy that I came here because you know, it's not a place I would go to on my own. It's just that I don't really know what to do there. Not interested.  Vape Shop  Main reason of coming here.  Had a healthy dinner. It's been a while since I had shabu-shabu and it's not like how I remember it. I know for sure that I'm not doing it right. Sukiyaki style on the left and no idea what's on the right. It sure has some fancy name but it doesn't really taste like anything. WATER?  I do like the gadgets that I have but I don't go gaga over other techie stuff and that's mainly what this place is known for. I heard that there's a shrine here for IT students and the like. Anything that has to do with gadgets basically. I've been told that this place gets really busy.  Maid cafe I kind of want to experience though. I know it's creepy hearing that from me because I imagine this kind of place being popular with ...

Tokyo Tower is Love

Image
We finally did it. We went to Tokyo Tower because I told Bry that it's been ages since I last went so after we watched the Hunger Games, we went to TT. For some reason, I know I have been here but I definitely have no memory of it whatsoever.  I don't know if it's like an everyday thing but when we went, they were having this food bazaar that we fully enjoyed.  Beautiful. I told Bry that if I see The Eiffel Tower I might cry.  We weren't able to take pictures of all the food so bare with me. What I'm eating here is grilled saba which was awesome! I think it's like 350/piece and like 1000/3 pieces but the man selling was kind enough to give us 2 each for the price of one. Awesome sauce. We also had this dashi udon which was nice because it was chilly that day. They come with daicon sushi which we survived to eat. Not really our cup of tea. I had to force Bry to eat his sushi. We also had karaage, grilled chicken, and taiyaki. So as you may know, we had a full s...

Exploring Tokyo with Kim

I was like 30 minutes late our call time because I messed up. I literally carefully calculated the time needed for me to get to my destination on time but this is what happened. When I transfered train station, I fell asleep sort of and I knew my station would just be like 3 stops away but yeah when I came to my senses, I was like, OMG NO! Then I hurried to get down from the station, located the exit, and yeah I was wrong. Because my station is actually supposed to be the next station from where I went down. Then I have to wait for like, kinda long right? And so it goes. I kinda feel sorry for them. They waited for a long time under the sun.  Our first stop is Rikugi-en. It's kind of odd that my friend wanted to see gardens and parks here in Japan. Contrary to what I think most people want to see here like lights, night life, Disney, and everything. Her reason being is that there's no such thing in the Philippines. I agree! But Disney though. Although they went to Universal in ...
