Memory Corner | Flashback Friday 5

Memory Corner | Flashback Friday 5

Hi guys! This is Flashback Friday # 5 A.K.A "I LOVE MYSELF" LOL.

1. This is me with an ice cream cart. Not real of course. When my cousin and I went to Manila Ocean Park, we saw this at the second floor of the establishment and what else would we do? Take pictures of course! I love how Filipino themed the displays are. There's also a jeepney and some other stuff there. Will share that soon! Anyways, this cart is very popular in the Philippines. Like, someone would just push the cart anytime of the day and ring the bell and like inform you that there's a cart outside and stuff. Much like an ice cream truck but way too simpler. Actually, for some reason, they call it "dirty ice cream" I hope they're not dirty though. I think they're not dirty. As to why it's call dirty ice cream, I have no idea. Usual flavors are Queso, Ube, and Chocolate.

2. This. LOL. When we went to Starbucks, my cousin asked my bestie and I to make her a fan sign and I was like, I'm not your fan. Hahaha. Anyways, she wrote her name and I asked her to take a picture of me barely holding the tissue as if disgusted by her name. But I love my cousin and I would always be her fan but then again I just thought that making a fan sign is a little bit unnecessary. My bestie actually have a proper fan sign picture but yeah. Whatever.

3. This is during our Caleruega Retreat and a friend took the photo. I think I was drafting a blog while listening to music and yeah. I miss that place so much! It's just perfect. Before the board exam, I think I need a retreat or something.

4. New Year 2011. Dad never failed to make us this. It's a simple Japanese Tradition and yeah. Nice. Oh MOCHI TOO.

Shop Until You Drop

Shop Until You Drop
A few days ago, I went with my mom and cousin to sort of accompany/entertain a couple with their granddaughter that is far related to dad. We accompany the woman and the child to go shop for souvenirs they would be giving away to their family members and to some of their friends. If what we did isn't tiring, then I don't know what is. The woman was really picky and would really consider everything before buying stuff. Like, she would consider whether or not the item would fit the person or like if the item would match their style or whatnot. Also, when we were on that souvenir-souvenir stuff, the woman would actually ask questions like the history shizz. Because there were like mini figurines of like, the "katutubos". Unlike mom who would actually just pick random stuff and decide on the spot. LOL. So after that tiring shopping activity we had, we decided to have something to at least replenish our lost energy.

Banoffee Pie and Green Tea Pie! I love! I don't know exactly why we didn't eat something heavy because I was dang tired but yeah, dessert comes first! :)

We then went back to Pan Pacific to load off the shopping bags and all that. Haggard faces for the win! Since it rained really hard, the Luneta Park and Intramuros trip was cancelled and clearly, we don't have business to do there anymore (according to mom) we just decided to go back to the mall.

And then we went back to the mall to eat. LOL. We decided to try the new stuff from KFC which is not worth the hype, really. Not actually bad but it's just not.. I don't know.

All in all though, I enjoyed that day and I was really happy that we were able to accompany them here in the Philippines and I really enjoyed playing with MOMO chan. Such a sweetheart! :) That's all!

Manila. A Look Back.

Manila. A Look Back.
I guess it's been a year or so since we last visited Manila Park/Luneta Park/Rizal Park or whatever. The story was my auntie's friend from Japan, well, sort of my mom's friend as well, wanted photos of the Philippines and stuff so you get it. The thing is, we already sent him photos before and mom actually wanted to take the same pictures and it just didn't make sense to me. ESPECIALLY HE DID SEND MONEY ON THE LATTER REQUEST. Not too much. But whatever. Like, I wouldn't pay for pictures. THANKS, GOOGLE!

The clock! Nothing much. Would be so prettier with flowers being there instead of leaves. But anyways. The good thing about being in Manila is that even though it's like, OVEN HOT, there's wind. Which is somehow awesome to kind of neutralize things.

So my bestfriend actually followed us because she was I guess, having a drink or two nearby and stuff. In the middle of the day, you ask? YES. That's so her. We were kind of doubting that she will come but she did! MIRACLE! LOL. Just kidding.

Something funny happened here. Like, creepy-funny. It's rather a long story so whatever. Soon!

You know you were cheated when you can't find a picture of you at some point. But anyways. LOL. Grabbed lunch (around 4) at KFC. Just because we were traumatized and kind of had a long walk from here to there and back and so yeah.

Walked around and took some pictures and memories. Beat that. LOL.

FUN FACT: It's either COFFEE JELLY, CHAI TEA, or GREEN TEA for me.

Just beautiful.

Pretty proud of this shot. For real.

Thanks, Coffee.

Thanks, Coffee.

I don't know. I just think that there are so many things we have to be thankful for. For example, coffee. May it be a regular coffee, 3 in 1 coffee, or that oh-so-expensive coffee that we all (somehow) praise. I don't know what it is in expensive coffees (MILK and MORE MILK) that makes it delicious, but yeah (IT'S ALL IN).

I'm a coffee drinker. Like, serious stuff. I like coffee. OOOPS...except pure black (no sugar or anything added). I don't know. Some may like it that way, but I don't really find it's for me, there you go.

The only reason I don't drink a lot because my heavy coffee drinking habit kind of worries my mom. And I'd be like "it's not that strong, it's not black" because I usually drink 3 in 1 coffees and believe me, it's only like 20% coffee.

I usually drink coffee in the morning during breakfast, snack, and right before I go to sleep. But when I'm like, extra in need, I'll have a cup in the afternoon too. Which will then alert my mom since she know I'd be having it again with my snack and at night and yeah, whatever.

This is what my coffee looks like :)

The mug is actually a gift from my best friend so, thanks a lot best friend! :) It really reminds me of her. It used to remind me a lot of her when I first used it, but now, yeah it still does reminds me of her everytime I use it. LOL. Thanks again! :)

The only problem I have with it is it's rather small for a coffee mug. Or maybe it's just me, I don't know. So, going back to the point, after all the digression (which I'm really very good at) and stuff, I'm really thankful for coffee. It does calm me down and make me realize how good life is (seriously). It slows me down in a very mysterious way. I mean, it doesn't literally slows me down, of course. But it's more on the inside. I just don't know the mechanism of it or whatever. Maybe it's just me again. Well, even if it's just me, I'm still thankful.
