Shinjuku Illumination 2017

Shinjuku Illumination 2017

Shortly after my Akihabara trip, I went to Shinjuku hoping it would be colorful again. It was colorful 3 years ago. It was pink again like it was last year. I’m not complaining. Much.

It was still very nice. I mean, if it’s the season, it’s always nice to appreciate all the little things like this. I mean, looking at it, it’s actually slightly different. Also, the Marine Tower is lit this season!

Also, I swear I’ve seen it lit in green and gold/orange.

It was pretty in pink!

At this very point, I was very sleepy but I was so happy!

Also, not so far away from the Southern Terrace, are small places with lights on as well.

Also, they added hearts!

2 hearts.

I don’t know if it was present last year but they also had this thing going on outside the new Shinjuku Station.

It was pretty in blue.

Also, this drink. It was okay. You know, I don’t really like raspberry in general but this candied raspberry thing is good.

They also have this pathway that I have no one to walk with but it was all good! ;)

Then this one. I have no idea. That’s all!

Shinjuku Torinoichi

Shinjuku Torinoichi

I went with my co-worker Shella Mae! Okay so we actually didn’t have the idea that there’s a matsuri happening nearby our Shinjuku office (where we were assigned) until our store manager told me about it. According to her, it’s a festival where shop
owners pray for the prosperity of their businesses. But we were no business owners so we were just there for food.

Distorted Hello Kitty face is life! Sorry, Mika. I know.

Osaka feels!!! I can’t even express my excitement when I saw these! Yas! Yas.

Fancy!

Entrance

So many food, so little time!!

Tan!! (tongue) Seriously my go-to piece of meat whenever I go to festivals. Yas!

We regretted the castellas that we bought because it was soooo dry!!! I mean, it’s kind of cute but it was hella dry! That’s all! Ciao!

Harajuku Line Shop

Marion's Crepe

This is so fail! I was telling my sisters that we're gonna go to a certain crepe shop because it's the oldest shop there and when I faced the other way, I saw this. Fail. But it's not like I just guessed or something, my co-worker actually mentioned it so yeah.

This is actually my favorite part of Harajuku. The ratchet Harajuku.

Calbee fries. I soooo recommend! If you ever go to Harajuku or like any Calbee shop, get some fries like this. It's sooo good.

Tokyu Plaza

My favorite place in Shinjuku. I'm so glad to be back. This is like Narnia's to me. Can find anything you don't probably need but want to buy anyways.

Like this template of crystals.

Tower Selfie

Why there are so many LINE shops in Japan, I would never know. But anyways, this one we took in Shinjuku Terrace City.

Famous Cat in Shibuya

We all know how I feel about Ichiran's Ramen but since my sisters like it there, I have no choice but to comply.

The only item in the menu that I really liked.

Shibuya. Always my favorite city. But for some personal reasons, I'm kinda having second thoughts about the city already. Kinda. Anyways, I'm not making any sense as always but who cares, right?

Exploring Tokyo with Kim

Exploring Tokyo with Kim

I was like 30 minutes late our call time because I messed up. I literally carefully calculated the time needed for me to get to my destination on time but this is what happened. When I transfered train station, I fell asleep sort of and I knew my station would just be like 3 stops away but yeah when I came to my senses, I was like, OMG NO! Then I hurried to get down from the station, located the exit, and yeah I was wrong. Because my station is actually supposed to be the next station from where I went down. Then I have to wait for like, kinda long right? And so it goes. I kinda feel sorry for them. They waited for a long time under the sun.

Our first stop is Rikugi-en. It's kind of odd that my friend wanted to see gardens and parks here in Japan. Contrary to what I think most people want to see here like lights, night life, Disney, and everything. Her reason being is that there's no such thing in the Philippines. I agree! But Disney though. Although they went to Universal in Osaka which I very much envy. Anyways.

Literally so hot. I can't. The place was so pretty though. I can't wait to be back by like fall or like Sakura season.

Then we went to Nakamise St. I haven't been! It was so crowded. Again, I guess it would have been nicer in fall or like Spring.

Total fail. This machine refused to let its eggs out :(

Then we ate at this Yakiniku place. I was literally talking about wanting to eat Yakiniku but I just can't because more often than not, I'm alone at life so yeah haha. The story is that we were actually supposed to eat at Saizeriya and then this place is beside that and we were curious so we checked it out and yeah apparently it's a Yakiniku Buffet and yeah it's very affordable! Me likey. Yakiniku finally!!

Kim, Hachiko, and I

Before Shibuya, we went to Shinjuku first. But then we realized that there's nothing much in Shinjuku. Just heartache. Joke! I shouldn't have insisted to go there. Oh well. Sayang.

Then we went to their apartment which was in Shinjuku.

On my way back to Shinjuku Station.

Oh Shinjuku.
