2 Years in Japan! :))

OMG! Like, already! :) April 1 2014 when I arrived here with the intention of staying for long. And now, look at us! Already 2 years! And counting...MEH. Actually, it should be adjusted because I came home to the Philippines, right? So yeah there's that. Anyways, I hope we all go to more adventures together.

Sakura is pretty at this point of time. I remember it was just as beautiful when I arrived 2 years ago. It was like Japan is welcoming me back or something. Emotions, OMG. Anyways, Ciao!

Bits of my Life

This is how I look as of the moment. Apparently, my hair can be tamed. With lotsa oil of course. Well I guess it's somehow beneficial for my hair so I shouldn't be complaining. I seriously expected my hair to be wild. Sometimes even when I forget to soak it with oil, it's still kind of okay which is very surprising. My hair is coping up!!

When shopping for food earlier this morning, I bought this. I was actually looking specifically for that Calbee chocolate covered potato chips which I used to eat everyday (then got sick of) but they're kind of hard to find these days so when I saw this, I thought I'd give it a try. The choco powder you have to add on your own. I believe I have tried something similar just to the ring itself and I didn't really enjoy it and I thought adding something to it would make me like it, but no. It's a complicated flavor so I don't really know if I like it.

Cheeseburger from 7/11. I bought this because someone I watch on YouTube said it's her favorite bento and I was like, must try!! I mean, it's okay but it's not as great as I thought it would be. But it was delish! Expectations.

Tart lovin'

On my way to work yesterday, I bought pastries (as I always do) and I was like putting random stuff on my tray and this was included and I was like, what is this sorcery? I thought all along that those are leaves on top of it until awhile ago, I was so ready to eat leaves only to find out that those are strawberries. I haven't cross-sectioned a strawberry yet so I don't really have an idea how it looks like so yeah. Maybe it was designed, maybe it's just how it is? Nevertheless, it was a delicious treat.

I took this earlier this year and I've been wanting to share this with you all but I guess I didn't have a proper blog post for it but I can't just not share. I believe I've told you how amazing sunrise looks like here and yeah I really appreciate it and believe me when I say that this won't be the last photo of it that you'll see. Sorry not sorry.

1. Are you named after anyone?

• I don't think so. You know! It's funny how I got my name. My mom actually misspelled it. I was supposed to be MIKI (ミキ) not MIKIE (ミキエ). And so my mom became really careful not to name our youngest MARI (マリ) to MARIE (マリエ). It doesn't matter much in the Philippines but it makes all the difference in Japan.

2. When was the last time you cried?

• The other day. #realtalk

3. Do you have kids?

• Not as of this writing. Not very soon actually. Can I just share? When I was in college, our Marriage and Family professor asked us one by one how many children do we want in the future and so I said two. And then at the end of it, she said that by deciding how many children we want ahead of it even happening, we already killed those not counted who are really destined to be our children.

4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?

• Oh that would be awesome. I kind of want that. Like, imagine!

5. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

• I do! But only to my closest friends. Because I don't like to be misunderstood because I usually just joke about it. Not to hurt people.

6. Will you ever bungee-jump?

• If I go to New Zealand, I will. Somebody take me there now. LOL.

7. What's your favorite cereal?

• I'm not a big cereal fan but Fruit Loops? Or like chocolate flavored corn flakes in general.

8. What's the first thing you notice about people?

• That's kind of hard to answer. It depends. I don't usually look at people a lot. When introduced to someone, I think I look at their eyes first. Or it depends what's overwhelming.

9. What is your eye colour?

• I have learned that black eyes are kind of rare to come by. So I say brown.

10. Scary movie or happy endings?

• Scary movies.

11. Favorite smells?

• I really like sweet scents. In a perfume, I like it when it smells like you can eat it.

12. Summer or winter?

• Summer

13. Computer or television?

• Computer! Just because I don't have a TV yet LOL.

14. What's the furthest you've ever been from home?

• Anywhere I go to is home.

15. Do you have any special talents?

• I don't think I have a real talent. Let alone special talent.

16. Where were you born?

• Philippines.

17. What are your hobbies?

• I don't have real hobbies either. If you consider laying at bed and looking at the ceiling, then that's my hobby. I like to blog. I think it's therapeutic.

18. Do you have any pets?

• I have a pet named Shiki back in the Philippines. Very very cute!!

19. Favorite movie?

• Harry Potter series. I can't tell which is my favorite as of the moment. I will blog about it as soon as I get to reflect.

20. Do you have any siblings?

• I have a brother and two lovely sisters.

21. What do you want to be when you grow up?

• Now this proves that this is made by some teenager. But what do I want to be when I grow up? I don't know. I'm a grown up now and should have been what I wanted to be. Well...I kind of achieved that already. I'm digressing in life a little bit. While making the most out of life. I hope.

2015 Selfies and Pink Sky

After work selfie. I feel really sorry for my hair. At work, we have to tie it up and you know, I'm probably doing it wrong because when shift ends and I'm already freeing it, it gets all frizzy and string-like. Got to get a deep conditioner I guess. Posting this only because I look kind of decent. Frizzy hair don't care.

Also, uneven eyes. Can't do anything about it. Moving right along...

The moral of the story is to capture moments. This literally disappeared seconds after I took the photo. Like, what? I was owed and life lessons flooded me like tsunami. At the end of the day, I was able to do it, right? No regrets. But then it makes you think that you should have taken more than what you did. But then it's still better than not making it at all.

Understatement really. It was more vivid in person! Anyways.

This I saw just awhile ago. Again, an understatement. If only I could get a better shot of the mountains, gah. For starters, I kind of have a bad vision but I saw its beauty clearly. And of course the moon.

Let it Snow! Japan 2015.

January 1st, at around 12 in the afternoon, it snowed. I know. You know with "rain" it's kind of a blessing and it's like welcoming 2015 with a bang. Anyways, it only rained for an hour and thought I'd share pictures with you guys. I basically took these because my family back in the Philippines were asking me in December whether it's already snowing so I thought I'd snap and send them these as well. Which I already did by the way.

It's actually not snowing everyday yet so it was more of like the first and last snow of the year so far. I mean, we're just a week ahead of 2014 aren't we? But anyways. You get the point.

Selfie! Why, of course. Those are not dandruffs though. Snow. LOL. I love how my top matches what's happening.

The day after, it kind of left a trace but then again the day after that, it all melted down. See you soonest, snow.

Happy New Year!! As if I haven't greeted you guys tons already. Yay.

It's autumn. Also known as my favorite season of all time. So I ventured and took photos that is relevant. Not this one of course.

Also not relevant to fall but I took a picture with it anyways.

It's getting colder and colder each day and to be honest, I wasn't wearing enough dress to get by this day but whatevs.

Now can we just stop and appreciate fall together? I can't express how I love fall. And I would never be able to.

To TRY or NOT?

Few weeks ago on iTunes, I was looking for free music because I'm a diva like that and I was like, COLBIE CAILLAT? What is this sorcery? No offense but Colbie Caillat is the first artist I have encountered that I know on the single of the week feature of iTunes. It is a nice song! I was actually impressed and felt like I won the lottery for some reason. Anyways.

It's just recently that the video became a thing on Facebook and so I watched. In a nutshell, it's a video of girls taking off their make-ups. It's nice as it is but I don't know.

Just being a video about girls taking off their make-ups made the song less valuable. I think. Because for some reason, I don't think girls who put make-up are just trying. You know what I mean? Girls sometimes put make-up for fun and just because. It's colorful and fun. Not really trying to impress other people and stuff. Yeah? What happened to YOU JUST HAVE TO GET UP GET UP GET UP? It's like my favorite part. Oh well.

Here's a picture I took awhile ago without make-up. Just because! As asked by Ms. Caillat, "don't you like you?", I DO! I like me. And I like make-up too.

Beating the Heat!

First things first! Three months in Japan now! Okay next. LOL. It's almost summer here and I can't help but be thankful I don't work in the afternoon or else! I'm just so glad I don't have to deal with the nasty weather. Well except the rain! I don't like it.

Recently, I went out alone to eat. Not like in a restaurant or something (will definitely try that!) but like in a mini stand bar or yeah. Also, I wore that shirt from the Philippines with pride! Apparently, that's the only loose shirt I have. That's another reason I wore it. Can't wear skimpy clothes on a nasty weather like that.

Anyways. I had Takoyaki and Mango Juice. The MJ was kind of expensive. I should have just gotten myself a Starbucks. Grande pa! Inis. Anyways, it was still kinda worth it because I went out on a very sunny afternoon so I was quite happy. The Takoyaki isn't that good. But I like it anyway.

I used to really really really like these. I guess sometimes things really does change. LOL. I still dig the grilled one but I haven't really got in to liking the one with soy sauce. I don't know why people like it. It's like a weird combination of sweet and salty. Me no likey. I didn't buy because I prefer them grilling it on the spot. Am I asking too much for 90 yen? Yes.

You know selecting what ice cream to buy is kind of fun in Japan. There's just too many choices!!! Even weird ones! Will probably try and feature some! And I'm already grossed out. Moving right along!

I bought this because I saw Hidemi eating this enjoyably. Nope! Not really good!! Am I asking too much for its price? Yes. But then again it did its job of icing me up. Whut?

This made me happy though! As you can see, it was a really hot day.

Which sucks because first, I forgot my umbrella inside my locker so I have to share with a friend and second, I forgot my umbrella inside my locker so I didn't have anything to use later that day when I went to work. Great! Also, I forgot my e-ticket inside my locker so I had to pay for my fare! Not wise. Ugh! So stupid you know. It's actually because I have to hurry or else the bus might not have available seats. I feel like a ninja, really! That's all! See yah!

Hachioji, Selfie, and Summer.

A selfie I took yesterday. I don't really have an explanation for this picture so I suggest we move on. LOL.

We went to Hachioji to meet someone and as much as I thought of sharing the beautiful city with you, I wasn't able to take pictures because it's kinda like mini Shibuya where everything is fast paced so yeah. I will take pictures next time!

Demi buying medals to play with. We weren't very lucky and I think she spent 2500 yen at least so sorry! The guy beside us though! He won the jackpot and then won so many medals that Demi was like, give us some! LOL. This girl is for real! Hahaha but she didn't let the guy hear of course.

It's really getting hot in Japan. Like it started to get hot and then it started to get cold again. Make up your mind, Japan.

I went to a 100 Yen shop and bought some interesting things and will share it so please wait for that :) Sooooon!! This is so near our place that I can't even. Although I probably don't need everything from it so yeah. たまに！

There are still beautiful flowers everywhere so that's nice! Even though how extreme the weather is, when I see flowers, everything seems better. That's it! See yah!

Random Thoughts with Pictures

Selfie! Never mind. I think I should take more selfies! Not for sharing though just for keep.

My everyday like (almost)(so far) is consist of me going to my bestfriend's place and stealing wi-fi signal from the neighbor still. Also, eating unhealthy snacks all the time. I don't smoke! Nor did I drink.

Random food photo. This was made together with a home made pizza that Demi made that we devoured too early for me to be able to take a picture so I'm leaving you with the Tamagoyaki.

Also, I have been so pleased with Japan's way to prevent Trichomonas. I mean, it's so convenient compared to squatting or bringing out your own alcohol spray and stuff! So yeah. Lovely~

After a long time, I was able to enter a Pachinko center to fetch someone. It was so loud inside that I think I had a headache when we went out. I don't think I would ever engage in this game but I do understand those who do. So go! See yah!!

Fabulous Hashi

One fine day, I just decided to take pictures with Hashi and she was like, not me lady! I got things to do! LOL.

<3 Smooches! She's so sweet! I think there's really a big difference between a female and a male pet. The females are just adorbs. Even her mum is sweet. My Shiki is also sweet but I don't know. I just think that Hashi is sweeter. Sexist!

I got yah! And she was like, I'm gonna make these pictures look like you're not treating me well.

When she was a little younger, she would actually be really friendly to the camera but now that she grew up a little, it's a little bit harder to take pictures of her so whatever.

But you're still fabulous and glamorous! :)
