Ueno Hanami 2017

Ueno Hanami 2017

Ueno Sakura Viewing. When I went there, I confirmed I was a bit late for all of it but it was still hella gorgeous! But late nonetheless. Because of my heavy sched, it's either I'm too early, or a bit late. What is my life?

This baby pink Sakura is gorgeous AF! It's also the first time I saw this. I guess traveling alone makes you see things a little better.

Yas!

I wasn't actually alone all time. I was to meet friends but as per usual, I don't really like meeting up in Ueno because this already happened 2 years ago and it happened again. Man, when will we learn from our mistakes? I'll tell you in a bit.

Ueno was busy. Just like it is every year. But it was also pretty. Just like it is every year.

Ueno will always be dear to my heart. My family and I used to go there. A place of memories, I guess.

Friends! After so many change of meet-ups, we finally met. I literally pulled my friend's hair when I saw them because I was already kind of irritated but meh, friends.

fun times

Food trucks! They're the best.

We all had Okonomiyaki which is my go-to matsuri food and this Twister which was just as good! They had three flavors available. Shoyu Butter, Garlic, and Barbeque (what I had). It was good!

I may have said bad things about the trauma of this place whatsoever but truth is, I am already looking forward to go here again next year. So there's the last post of this year's Hanami. See you again next year! :) Ciao!

2 Years in Japan! :))

2 Years in Japan! :))

OMG! Like, already! :) April 1 2014 when I arrived here with the intention of staying for long. And now, look at us! Already 2 years! And counting...MEH. Actually, it should be adjusted because I came home to the Philippines, right? So yeah there's that. Anyways, I hope we all go to more adventures together.

Sakura is pretty at this point of time. I remember it was just as beautiful when I arrived 2 years ago. It was like Japan is welcoming me back or something. Emotions, OMG. Anyways, Ciao!

This Park again and again

This Park again and again

After a long time, I get to visit this park again. I was actually so happy because I get to share the beauty of the park.

I don't get why he was so amused by this cow. Why? Haha

The cow really did not care. Such a badass. Like, she would look at us once and then look away and eat grass. Repeat. She did not even try. Haha

Also entered their bird house and it was nice. I wish they build a bigger cage though. It's a little bit crowded for all of them there.

Colorful bird

Then we enter the feeding cage whatever and it was awesome.

It was our first time seeing these babies. Not sure what they are exactly but most likely chickens hahaha.

Then we also get to feed most of them with carrots and we were saying that they're really doing it right because it's a nice learning and fun experience for kids (and the like) and all the animals there get to eat.

Also, even though it's Winter, they still have this flower mosaic thing going on so yeah it was still kind of pretty. Also they did have an event that time where they sell stuff but all we did there was eat mochi. It was good.

My favorite part of the park for sure.

The earliest bloom of Sakura that I've seen. Fantastic.

It was a good day. Ciao!

Cerisiers en Fleurs.

Cerisiers en Fleurs.

These are pictures of Cherry Blossoms near from where I live. It was beautiful. Sakura in our city bloomed later than in Tokyo so I was able to enjoy both worlds.

Literally like 5 minutes away from where I live so it's really convenient to just go in pajama like how I did.

It's a street full of Sakura but most of it are quite high up but some you can really have a good look of.

I then found a use for my spare camera lens. It kinda works.

Oh Sakura. I would never ever get tired of looking at you.

Chibi Sakura tree near the station.

Then I came back to the chibi tree because I was like, I won't be able to see this again until next year so I took more photos.

The rain kind of shortened the span of the already short blossoms so boo yah.

falling Sakura petals is gorg

Adios, Sakura! Till we meet again next year. I'll miss yah.

snowy morning

Then just yesterday, it snowed. Like, what? Periwinkle and the other Winter Fairies were surely confused. Anyways. See yah!

Spring is Promising. Sakura 2015

Spring is Promising. Sakura 2015

I recently went to Kamoi to give something to an auntie there and last year, when I was here in this place, Sakura is in its full glory, it didn't show up that much this time of the year yet but it's promising.

Sakura is already on its way.

I know it already bloomed at some areas such as Tokyo and stuff but here in Kanagawa, not much.

I will always appreciate places in Japan like this. Somehow untouched. A place to take a stroll, breathe in fresh air, take a minute of silence from the busy world waiting outside. You know!

Good to see my shadow is intact. Who sew it? ;) not Wendy. I don't know if I like Wendy actually. Mmmm...

Scenic! But I would appreciate it more if there were colorful flowers.

Nonetheless, gorgeous.

Sakura

More Sakura

I'd say 1 week more. Almost there! Can't wait to be back. I don't know. There are a lot of places to see. So little time!

Selfie

Hello Spring

Ducks

I saw them swimming at first but when I came back and thought of taking a picture, they were already hamging out like this. Moral of the story is to point and shoot. Always. Shoot now delete later. FFS.

It was a less than an hour visit but I really enjoyed my stay.

After all that jazz, I went to Sukiya to eat this. Cheese Gyudon is probably my favorite gyudon. Also my mom's favorite. The thing about places like Sukiya is that most of its customers are guys and so I feel kinda awkward eating there alone. Let alone I ordered a size larger than the normal size. I love my life.
