Is Duterte the One?

irrelevant picture frame

A few years ago, I thought to myself, what if si Mayor Duterte ang presidente ng Pilipinas? Ang ayos-ayos siguro. Just imagine Davao being the 9th safest city in the world. But then again I thought to myself, why can't we all just be like the DavaoeƱos instead? What is it that they have that we don't? DISCIPLINE is one but come to think of it. We're not inferior to them. The problem is that most of us if not all are so used to depending the sake of our country to our leaders while we wait for their promised miracle to happen. If we continue to act like how we are acting right now and even in the past decades, I'm sorry. But yes, I'm afraid we're all just waiting in vain. Tapos sasabihin na sila sa Davao may kinakatakutan. Hindi ganun yun e. It might be but it's not always the case. Ang problema sa madami sa atin e kinakaya-kaya nalang natin yung sistema. Hindi tayo marunong makipag cooperate.

I don't know who can really fix the Philippines. But I know that whoever he or she is, it can't be done alone. That's why leader ang tawag dyan kasi it doesn't make sense kung wala siyang members. And for all I know, we're all part of the team. Parang school project lang yan na sobrang nakakabuwisit kung leader lang ang kikilos. The same goes kung members or isang member lang din ang kikilos. It takes time, effort, and unity to make a group project succesful so kahit gaano pa kaganda ang plataporma na kung sino mang leader diyaan kung wala namang masyadong kikilos, wala din. I hope people do get that.

Okay so back to what this post should really be. The only problem I have with Mayor Duterte is back when they were still asking him if he was running, he seems not interested. And if there's anything I've learned in high school, do not place someone in position if he or she is not willing to. Because that's what you'll get. A half-hearted service. I don't know but I must admit that we do really need him. Or Miriam.

2013 election

May the odds be ever in our favor. Yes. Anyways, if only I could, I would probably vote for Senator Santiago. She seems perfect for the position. It's very unfortunate that these two wouldn't be working together. I mean, they should have been President/Vice President pero there's no perfect world ika nga. Pero I'm sure that kung sino man sa kanilang dalawa ang manalo, happy nadin yung isa sa kanila na hindi mananalo kasi for me they're both qualified naman. Well not to say that the rest of the candidates are not qua...oh nevermind. I like Grace Poe too by the way it's just that I guess she's missing some steps to get there. Well she could actually get there fast. I mean look at her winning poll numbers pero that's not the point. Ayaw ko lang din na she'll be put in a place where she's not meant to be in yet you know. I'm nobody. I'm not in a place to say that. But I know her fortune would be very much like President Aquino na sisisihin lang din ng taong bayan. I honestly think that a forgiving, gentle, and kind president is the last thing we need right now. Kung ako lang din, wag nalang siguro muna. Hindi sa pang iinsulto (seriously) pero kumpara sa drugs, Senator Poe would do good as a maintenance and not as a treatment. Lalo na kung ang gagamutin ay ang Pilipinas. And she's doing okay sa senate so give it a few more years then maybe. Maybe.

Healing the Believers Chest

Healing the Believers Chest

First of all, it's such a beautiful title for such demonic act. HOW INAPPROPRIATE. Yes, I watched the video (more than once). I wish I didn't though. Because there's no way I can unwatch it now. I know from the start that it would haunt me forever but then I thought I wanted to see. I know I couldn't do anything about it and from watching it alone, I really feel sorry for the ones left behind and I feel sorry that they had to see him die like that. I wish they would have all the strength they need to move on from the situation. Although very likely they won't.

SO, they murdered the remaining Japanese and the Young Pilot which resulted to the death of two of Jordan captives which apparently, are related to ISIS. Can I just mention how they burned the pilot alive? Are they out of their minds or something? Do they even have soul? Conscience? No? And then there's that bombing of the ISIS headquarters and stuff. Would this ever end?

“So whoever has assaulted you, then assault him in the same way that he has assaulted you.” (Q2:194)

For days, I've been searching the Internet for stuff. Apparently, they have been taught to do so. They have comrades who have been burned and decapitated by the United States I believe. I don't know. Like, I want to understand where they are coming from and somehow their ideology makes sense but at the same time, it doesn't. I think they may have misinterpreted it. I've always believed in life for a life policy. But then again it made me think that it's not always applicable. Life for a life, YES. But the one who took away the life should only be the one responsible. And not like take anyone off the jet and burn him alive.

I don't know much about this extremist group yet but one thing for sure is that they are liars. They somehow tricked us all in to thinking that they would kill the Jordanian pilot if Jordan failed to release the Jordan captive which happened to be their sister and ISIS was asked for a proof of life and as they failed to give some, Jordan kept their captive. Good thinking. I mean, if they released the sister, then they would have lost. Because I don't think that the pilot is still alive during the deal exchange. He may have killed shortly after his capture that's why they can't provide any proof of life.

NO ONE DIED IN VAIN. YOU WERE ALL COURAGEOUS HEROES. Deaths will be payed and you all will be remembered.

On the other hand, the FALLEN44, I feel so sad for that just as the same but then it makes me kind of angry because of the people's reaction about the issue. I've read somewhere that yes, there are a lot of people there to witness that event but the president pero sino ba sa mga nandun yung talagang nakikiramay? I don't think lahat.

Russian Roulette.

Russian Roulette.
With all the bombings that happened recently that involved firearms and such, it has been a controversy whether or not private individuals should be allowed to carry one.

And I would like to share my reaction on this whole issue.

Recently, Sandy Hook was attacked by a guy named Adam and shot 26 innocent individuals.

See, I agree that people should be able to defend themselves in the best way possible but there should be a certain place where to get it and there should be a series of psychologic exams to be able to acquire one.

Because gun control wouldn't actually do anything good to anyone. It's not like criminals would just back off when it's finally implemented. It's not like bad people are actually waiting for this gun control to happen for them to start a new beginning. No. The thing is, since they're still out there with their guns, what about the good guys? It's not like the bad guys would just drop off their guns if they saw that their victims don't have guns and that they would just fight manually instead. It's not fair.

So what I'm trying to say basically is that if they allow private individuals to acquire guns, then there might be a lesser chance of murder and all that because bad people would hesitate a little bit. They wouldn't feel superior and just kill anybody. Think of it this way. There's a two room apartment and there's an armed man who wants to rob the place. The first room is where a normal person lives and the other one is where an armed person lives. The robber is actually aware of the whole situation. Where do you think will he go? Exactly my point.

Can I just share something?

Few years back, when we were on our way home from the airport, just few blocks away from our house, I saw a group of teenagers and one of them was holding a gun. I was threatened because they didn't appear to have a license to be holding that gun and stuff so that was scary as shizz.

We do have a gun in this house. My mom is actually licensed to carry a gun. My dad actually used to fire that gun in a shooting range but not anymore. Now would we use that if an intruder comes in this house, definitely.

Personally, I would like to have one in the future. For security, not for anything else.

Church and State.

Church and State.

First of all, I want to make it clear that I don’t mean to offend anyone with this post. I just want to make a point. I don't actually care but here's my say anyways.

If you’re familiar with the things that are happening here in the Philippines, you might want to join my side. If not, not my problem. At least you have an opinion. That’s good enough for me.

There are state issues that I think, should stay with the state you know. I know pretty well that the church have the right to do things but so is the state. Fair enough. If both side would just do their own thing, then what can be the problem? People are trained to be where they are so more or else they know what they are doing yeah?

I had a debate with an attorney-to-be regarding that art exhibit in CCP recently. I said it doesn’t bother me and all that but he questioned my point of view and all other stuff. I’m disappointed merely because some law students doesn’t even know who they’re fighting for. All good. He was also able to mention that there is a law that separates the state and the church. So be it. Law is a law right?

What worries me the most is that we can’t make good decisions anymore. I’m not saying that the church is bad. Alright? I just want to say that sometimes, they should leave it alone to the state. And I actually haven't heard of anything like the state interfering to the activities of the church so maybe I'm a little bit one sided and actually maybe there isn't.

I’m not a state person either. I just think that it’ll be better if they will do their job the way they should do it. I think it’ll be better that way. What do you have to say?
