Some Good Tea @ Affinitea

Some Good Tea @ Affinitea
WALL OF GOOD VIBES
I haven't seen this anywhere else yet so I'm assuming that this branch is the only branch. In case you're wondering, Affinitea is somehow near San Sebastian College in Manila. The last time I attempted to try something in this place, it was full so I just went to Chill Out which is literally beside this place. We were supposed to do the same thing but then my cousin noticed the place is empty so we went in right away. MUST BRING POST ITS NEXT TIME.

GOOD STUFF
This is probably the first time my cousin didn't get Caramel Milk Tea. She ordered some honey tea stuff and she didn't like it that much. I guess she's just used to the taste of Caramel Milk Tea that's why she didn't enjoy it. She also said that the bubbles are harder than the usual. BUT I LOVED MINE. Mine is the shorter cup by the way and I ordered some cocoa stuff with rock salt and cheese. The lady was also kind enough to ask me if I want my drink uncovered. I said yes of course. It's easier to mix and savor the drink that way anyways.

It's a relatively big place for a tea shop and it's really nice although I wouldn't say that the place is very ideal to stay at which is typical for tea places by the way. For some reason, it's too noisy inside. I'm not complaining of course. I'm just saying. Can I just say that the staffs were really nice. But still noisy.

MYSELF AND MY COUSIN
Just a side note, we were actually from PRC before we went here. Thanks to MY COUSIN for accompanying me and falling in line for me and stuff like that. If not for her, I wouldn't finish the whole examination application process a little bit earlier. So thank you! :) Can I just say that I was a little bit irritated by that one lady at the processing window because she was like doing hand movements and I was like, what the eff is happening here? And then when I asked her to repeat what she have just said, she was like irritated that I didn't here it the first time. WHAT? WOMAN, YOU DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING SO DON'T YOU DARE ACT LIKE THAT. It's pretty ironic that we have people like that inside the PROFESSIONAL REGULATION COMMISSION. But I'm good now.

MTLEX! :)

MTLEX! :)

I want to congratulate all of my friends who passed the MTLEX. My UST, MCU, and JRMMC colleagues, I know some of you have been complaining how the result is two days late but hey, you guys passed and I'm sure it's worth all the wait. It really makes me proud of you guys. I know you've all worked so hard and sacrificed a lot for this. Well except those who didn't really study because they're flawlessly intelligent. Or lucky. Well the good thing is, you're all an RMT now and that's just awesome. MD na next! :) I remember one of my friends turned down my "Hey! Let's watch Les Mis." offer. Oh well. And most of them were really out of sight during their review. Can I do that? To be honest, I felt a little amount of pressure. But whatever.

I just want to take this opportunity to CONGRATULATE my co-intern/post mate/ice cream mate/friend for making it to the top 10 list of the MTLEX passers.

I feel like a proud mama.

It's gonna be our turn this coming September or August is it? And hopefully we'd be able to celebrate just as much as you guys did.

To those who didn't pass, it's not the end of everything. People know that the exam is hard that's why they allowed medical technologist to take the exam 3 times max before the refresher course. And I don't think there's anyone who's so complacent about the MTLEX result. Almost everyone I know is like, waiting. If you didn't make it this time, you have time to improve! Time to ace! It's really not the same for everyone. Maybe you didn't study enough. Maybe you just studied the wrong thing (which I always do) or maybe it's not yet for you. But it's okay. Don't lose hope. My father once told me that if you see even just a little hope, work on that hope, and you'll succeed.

And to inspire us all, here are some of the snippets our new MEDICAL TECHNOLOGISTS have to say.
  • I love my mama and my dad so much and I know that this new achievement of mine is for them, i give it back to them for being the most dedicated and the most hardworking parents that I know.
  • I'm a success today because I have friends and family who believed in me and I didn't have the heart to let them down.
  • Thank God for all the Glory. Tsaka sa MCU, MCU friends, ACTS at sa lahat ng nakatulong :) So happy :)
Well if I would be ranked TOP 5, I would be happy too. Haha that's all guys! Again, congratulations RMTs. :) Good job! Good vibes.

Bloody Hell.

Bloody Hell.
Love when I read this on any Harry Potter books. Anyways, awhile ago, our morning class was cancelled and our last period class teacher said she wouldn't be meeting us anymore because of some stuff going on. It's actually Pharmacy week in UST so there are a lot of things going on really.

One of the activities is actually BLOOD LETTING. Even before going to the uni, I already decided that I would donate blood and stuff. I kind of told a friend/thesis mate about it and she said she would want to donate as well. Got myself a buddy. GREAT! :D

It's actually just my second time donating blood and I must say that this one is a little bit more painful than last time. Or it's just probably me. It actually shouldn't hurt but since the girl in charge injected the needle a little bit lower than where it should be, there.

As someone who's been working in a hospital (without pay), I know how important a single unit of blood is. So whatever. I really hope that I could save someone's life with my donation. Hopefully I was able to save 2 already. Like, just to make things a little more appropriate.

Last year, Red Cross provided me with a pin as a token or something. Now, here are what they gave me

The lady actually gave us three so whatever. I kind of feel like they provided us with more snacks this time. I guess?

And then what else? You know, I just have to mention again that it was painful. I literally feel like it's going thru whatever muscle it is located there before it hit my vein. No hematoma or whatever though. So it's all good. Sometimes we really have to sacrifice. LOL.

I am not holding two donor cards that will make a priority or anyone I know whenever we asked for blood from them. Oh well. I hope that we won't be needing that kind of thing ever. But it's good to know. You know.

They also provided an identification card sort of where you can put your details at the back.
