Takarajima Yakiniku Buffet Review

December 20, 2015 0
Takarajima Yakiniku Buffet Review

It was a "let's eat anywhere" kind of day when we decided to eat here. Also! Partially because I've been craving for meat the whole week or two that time.

I've heard this place thru a friend but I haven't really gotten to eat so thankfully I was able to with Bry. They have quite a lot of options for the buffet. We got the middle option and it was worth it.

It's a typical yakiniku set-up. The meat they will be bringing though varies. Like, they do have this screen that has the options of the meat included in your package as well as other options you could choose from.

I tried to help. But all I did is wait for the meat to cook and eat. Also, order some more meat from the menu. Hahaha

That sirloin on the grill was my favorite piece that night. The pork wieners are good too! Actually, everything.

I really tried to help but I was denied. Hahaha thanks for grilling Bry.

Also, very unpractical that I wanted to eat Stone Grilled Bibimbap. I know I came for meat but that's just me and my untimely cravings. It was delicious by the way. Also, besides this, I ordered a bowl of white rice. I'm Asian, don't judge me.

The culprits! At this point, we were already really really full but I was like, dessert! And so we did. I tried to get all three options but the milk crepe cake something is not available anymore so meh.

Although petite, it was delicious! :) All in all I would really recommend this place for huge meat eaters like us and it will surely do it for you.

Nagahama Ramen Review

December 15, 2015 0
Nagahama Ramen Review

There are quite a lot of ramen places in Japan. It's Japan so it's given that all their ramen places are better than everywhere else in the world. However, the competition is still up in Japan.

This ramen place is one competitive player. I've learned about this place thru a co-worker and hella thankful they did tell me about this. Speaking of competition, they do have a challenge here where you can win a shirt and a place where you can brag on the wall. The challenge is you have to finish 7 servings of noodles. I don't know if I can do it (no) but it's not impossible because they don't have much place left on their walls. Go Bry! ;)

Ramen places here in Japan especially in the city are mostly modernized but this one is like still semi-vintage. And for some reason, I still like this kind of set-up where you still see the workers manually doing their thing.

My Ramen Buddy

Ramen buddy who's always craving for this ramen. Even joked that he'd go alone when I'm gone. I say joked because this place is more than 3 hours away from him. Hahaha

Mine is on the left and Bry's on the right. He always get their big serving and for some reason, we finish at the same time. I don't think I eat slow. He's just so fast.

Also, we discovered another favorite of ours. Chahan. So yeah. Win-win. In fairness the ramen here is really really tasty. As in tasty. Must have been their meat concoction that they put in the broth. If you can, do try out Nagahama Ramen. You won't regret it. Ciao!

Tokyo Tower is Love

December 12, 2015 0
Tokyo Tower is Love

We finally did it. We went to Tokyo Tower because I told Bry that it's been ages since I last went so after we watched the Hunger Games, we went to TT.

For some reason, I know I have been here but I definitely have no memory of it whatsoever.

I don't know if it's like an everyday thing but when we went, they were having this food bazaar that we fully enjoyed.

Beautiful. I told Bry that if I see The Eiffel Tower I might cry.

We weren't able to take pictures of all the food so bare with me. What I'm eating here is grilled saba which was awesome! I think it's like 350/piece and like 1000/3 pieces but the man selling was kind enough to give us 2 each for the price of one. Awesome sauce.

We also had this dashi udon which was nice because it was chilly that day. They come with daicon sushi which we survived to eat. Not really our cup of tea. I had to force Bry to eat his sushi. We also had karaage, grilled chicken, and taiyaki. So as you may know, we had a full stomach before we even go up.

It was rather a quick line up but yeah it was really crowded.

They should have a veranda where you can just lay down, drink wine, and stuff. I think that would be a great idea.

I think we were able to see everything that night. We were stopping at like every 5 windows or so to check out the view.

We also went up the special observatory because why not?

My companion.

People were getting crazy over this glass thing. It's not that scary as it is but I guess they were scared of what might happen but you know, chill. A child even jumped really hard on this and the staff was just like looking like he doesn't give a f. Bry even jumped and you know might have caused panic to some. But you know guys, they wouldn't put it there if it is dangerous.

They have this One Piece thing going on. Not a fan.

Tokyo Tower Selfie

Souvenir for the night. Quite amazed at this. I suggest you getting this and hopefully you see that uncle staff which will tell you you're beautiful (in your own language). Ciao!

Cosmo World Yokohama

December 08, 2015 0
Cosmo World Yokohama

I don't remember ever going to this place to ride. Because you know, I've always been alone going here so I was just like always looking around and observing people and how happy they are and stuff. All my trips here alone were fulfilling but there's just something about having someone with you. I actually thought of riding alone but I was like always delaying it to the point when there will be no time left and stuff.

Also, this day, I kind of noticed a lot of colors other than green. Always nice.

I went with Bryan and it was kind of a quick visit since I had to go to work after. Bummer. But in fairness, we were able to ride our picks. It was awesome.

Cosmo Clock

The Cosmo Clock is probably the center of the park. A ride would show you the whole city. And if lucky, you might even have a glimpse of Mt.Fuji. They do have an interactive screen that you can use and it'll show you things you might want to know.

Vanish Coaster

They also have a huge roller coaster which is nice. My favorite ride is gonna be the spinning coaster. Very subtle but at the same time thrilling.

View from above

It was very beautiful at night. We still have a lot of rides that we weren't able totry so  definitely coming back soon. Hopefully.

Ciao!!

Is Duterte the One?

December 06, 2015 0
Is Duterte the One?

irrelevant picture frame

A few years ago, I thought to myself, what if si Mayor Duterte ang presidente ng Pilipinas? Ang ayos-ayos siguro. Just imagine Davao being the 9th safest city in the world. But then again I thought to myself, why can't we all just be like the Davaoeños instead? What is it that they have that we don't? DISCIPLINE is one but come to think of it. We're not inferior to them. The problem is that most of us if not all are so used to depending the sake of our country to our leaders while we wait for their promised miracle to happen. If we continue to act like how we are acting right now and even in the past decades, I'm sorry. But yes, I'm afraid we're all just waiting in vain. Tapos sasabihin na sila sa Davao may kinakatakutan. Hindi ganun yun e. It might be but it's not always the case. Ang problema sa madami sa atin e kinakaya-kaya nalang natin yung sistema. Hindi tayo marunong makipag cooperate.

I don't know who can really fix the Philippines. But I know that whoever he or she is, it can't be done alone. That's why leader ang tawag dyan kasi it doesn't make sense kung wala siyang members. And for all I know, we're all part of the team. Parang school project lang yan na sobrang nakakabuwisit kung leader lang ang kikilos. The same goes kung members or isang member lang din ang kikilos. It takes time, effort, and unity to make a group project succesful so kahit gaano pa kaganda ang plataporma na kung sino mang leader diyaan kung wala namang masyadong kikilos, wala din. I hope people do get that.

Okay so back to what this post should really be. The only problem I have with Mayor Duterte is back when they were still asking him if he was running, he seems not interested. And if there's anything I've learned in high school, do not place someone in position if he or she is not willing to. Because that's what you'll get. A half-hearted service. I don't know but I must admit that we do really need him. Or Miriam.

2013 election

May the odds be ever in our favor. Yes. Anyways, if only I could, I would probably vote for Senator Santiago. She seems perfect for the position. It's very unfortunate that these two wouldn't be working together. I mean, they should have been President/Vice President pero there's no perfect world ika nga. Pero I'm sure that kung sino man sa kanilang dalawa ang manalo, happy nadin yung isa sa kanila na hindi mananalo kasi for me they're both qualified naman. Well not to say that the rest of the candidates are not qua...oh nevermind. I like Grace Poe too by the way it's just that I guess she's missing some steps to get there. Well she could actually get there fast. I mean look at her winning poll numbers pero that's not the point. Ayaw ko lang din na she'll be put in a place where she's not meant to be in yet you know. I'm nobody. I'm not in a place to say that. But I know her fortune would be very much like President Aquino na sisisihin lang din ng taong bayan. I honestly think that a forgiving, gentle, and kind president is the last thing we need right now. Kung ako lang din, wag nalang siguro muna. Hindi sa pang iinsulto (seriously) pero kumpara sa drugs, Senator Poe would do good as a maintenance and not as a treatment. Lalo na kung ang gagamutin ay ang Pilipinas. And she's doing okay sa senate so give it a few more years then maybe. Maybe.

Tokyo Disney Sea 2015

November 10, 2015 0
Tokyo Disney Sea 2015

First time at Disney Sea! I haven't been to Universal either but I'm assuming that the Earth something something looks quite similar to this. Or at least we thought. Haha

For some reason, when I go to parks and stuff, it's always Halloween. I wonder.

Disney Sea gives me a European village vibe for some reason. Haven't been to Europe either so I don't know why I'm saying that. Haha

Went with Bry to celebrate his Birthday. :)

When I was a child, I always wondered what Disney Sea is like but I was always too small for Disney Sea so that gave me the notion that Disney Sea is for adults. Also, when I was kind of a grown-up, my little sisters were too little for it anyways so we didn't really have a chance to go together.

For most part, it is. But that doesn't mean that children wouldn't enjoy their visit or something. There are still rides and places where we felt like we're too old to go into. But that's like only 1 ride so whatever haha.

A little bit of advice though, if you have a child maybe like below 6, stick to Disneyland. I am always irritated by parents who carry their infants with them.  I mean, there's no point. Should have left them somewhere warm. Kawawa lang yung bata. Or so I think.

Me assessing Cruella

Cruella De Vil was just so cruel that day (or always) shooing people away haha.

Break time!! Disney wouldn't be complete without Turkey Legs of course. We also had Gyoza.

Also, I have just known this thru someone as well but when I asked that friend the difference between Disney Land and Sea, he immediately asked me "do you know they sell beer at Disney Sea?" And so I was like, okay should try that. And so we did.

Second favorite ride.

My favorite part! I don't know. This is just random.

We waited in line for like 140 minutes. Somebody give us an award for this.

My favorite ride!!

Disney Sea at night is just as magical as Disney Land. I mean, I don't know. I think I would be judging too quickly if I were to choose now but yeah, would make the judgment as soon as I get to explore more of both parks.

I also would like to point out that even though there's no Cinderella's Castle, this Little Mermaid's lagoon or whatever somehow makes up for it. But I must admit that there's something really magical with the classic Castle but you know, whatevs.

Favorite view

Heading home.

Toyville

I would love to go back soon! :) I mean, to finally choose/make up my mind which I like better or something. But I somehow find that impossible because you know, I have been to Disneyland as many times as I could remember and I still think I haven't seen most of it. That's why I think it's beautiful. Because you can never fully see it. Like, there's always something to look forward to. So yeah they're both beautiful as it is so I guess it's really just a matter of preference.
