Day 1 | I Seoul You

November 18, 2019 0
Day 1 | I Seoul You
This is the most hectic day of our 5 day stay in South Korea. Also, this is where I kinda squeezed in all the places I’ve already been to before! But! It’s true what they say! Being with a different person to the same place brings you a different perspective. The first day was Hanbok, Seoul Tower, and Hongdae day. We lived in Myeongdong area so I already know that we can just walk our way to Cheonggyecheon and the Palaces so that’s what we did. It was sooo far! I didn’t put into consideration that we were 10 minutes away from the extreme end of Myeongdong. Which we survived by the way. I can’t say the same for my shoes.

So we stopped at the stream which I will always have a soft spot for. We didn’t take much pictures though or stopped for more than 20 minutes because it’s that kind of place. You just pass by it for some reason.

We walked our way to the palace, ate our breakfast/lunch at the 7/11 cafe which was so nice and rented Hanbok. We actually didn’t go to Bukchon Hanok Village anymore because we’re on strict schedule and we woke up late because of our very late arrival at the guest house the evening prior. Anyways, we found the Hanbok rental shop we were looking for, chose our dresses, and went to the palace! It was refreshing.

We took loads of photos of course and then we went to Myeongdong! This time near the meeting place for our Seoul Tower trip and had bibimbap!

Namsan Tower

It's a Small World!

Gorgeous. I think it's my second time here and it's just as pretty as I remember it to be.

Seoul Tower was fantastic. I like it. Maybe the same level as how I like the Tokyo Tower even. I don’t know. Something like that. We took loads of photos and headed back down. Went home to put on a proper coat and headed to Hongdae! I might actually just stay in Hongdae on my next Seoul trip! Now! I know I already told you I’m not coming back to Korea before but maybe. Just maybe. I would probably want to utilize my Everland visit next time. Fireworks and all! Or maybe Lotte World too! That’ll be cool.

As I was saying, Hongdae. We weren’t able to have chicken like I originally planned to but we had the best Korean barbecue! Me likey. We were also able to watch street performances which was cool. So yeah.

We had this chicken which ACSLIFE recommended! It was good! Can I just say that Hongdae is sooo lit! I like it! Although I remember it much prettier in WINTER with all the lights and stuff! That’s all!

My Soul Wants SEOUL.

My Soul Wants SEOUL.

So last May 2011,  I blogged about this on my WordPress blog account which I am not updating by the way. So I figured I want to blog about the top 5 things I would want to do in South Korea. Soon, I hope.

1. Just be in Seoul.

It may sound weird but I just want to feel how it feels to be in Seoul. Do you feel me? Like, you know how different it is to kind of watch a concert on TV and to actually watch it live, right? That kind of hunger. I want to feel Seoul.

Take pictures and stuff like that!

Namsan Tower, Teddy Bear Museum, Hello Kitty Cafe, Seoul Zoo, Han River, and all that stuff.

2. Visit Lotte World.

Since South Korea doesn't have a Disney Land, well, North Korea too I think but yeah. I guess Lotte World is actually the way to do it. Or EVERLAND, is it? But whatever. I think I want to go to Lotte World more.

3. Visit Bukchon Hanok Village.

Like, I've seen this village in movies, series, and all that stuff so I really want to see it myself.

4. Walk along Chonggyecheon Stream.

Like, it's so common of a place but whatever. I still want to go

5. Eat STREET FOODS.

Life, for reals. Everything. I want to try a little bit of everything and go back for more. Like, eating at some fancy restaurant wouldn't probably give me that Seoul vibes as much as eating along the streets of Seoul, right?
