Dior Tour De Rouges 200. A Review.

November 17, 2012 0
Dior Tour De Rouges 200. A Review.
Again, not really an in depth review of the product. Just a little bit of "first impression" thingy that people do. This one's gonna be like that as well. Oh well.

So the packaging is quite nice. Quite catchy. It's really compact too. Like, approximately as tall as a lipstick tube. Well, maybe a little more but you get the point.

It also came with a lip brush. Which is probably not gonna be so helpful because you have to kind of wash it everytime you would decide to wear another color.

The first three are kind of irrelevant but I'm sure they're pretty. I personally like the fourth color best. The last color is kind of a lot for me.

Picture above is the last color in the palette. I mean, it's probably great for theme parties but not for my everyday use.

The fourth color though is still a little bit too orange-y for me. I might just mix it up or whatever to get my desired color. The application of the first three colors in the palette is kind of smooth and just perfect but the fourth and fifth are kind of drier. I don't know why but there's really a remarkable difference. Other than that, nothing much. It really feels light on which is good.

That's all. :)

Rouge à Lèvres - Dior Addict de Christian Dior. A Review.

November 03, 2012 0
Rouge à Lèvres - Dior Addict de Christian Dior. A Review.

This is how the packaging looks like.. I kind of like how fancy it looks. Like, kind of sheer and yeah. I like like. And it's not because it's Dior or whatsoever.

I actually just tested it awhile ago and for some reason, I'm ready to review it.

I like how they actually let you choose how to apply it. Like, I love how it shouts FREEDOM of some sort. LOL. But with this particular color, it's actually better with kind of a lot of layers.

I actually like how smooth it applies on the skin. Like, you won't even feel the friction or anything like that. Like, I guess that's the way to go. I don't really like its color pay off though. But given other color, everything should be fine. Well, probably. I think generally, purple is just not the color for me. And as you can see from the swatch above, the color does not actually apply evenly. Like, there would be some ares where you have to reapply the product just because it appears lighter than the other. That's all!

Victoria Jackson Lip Addiction Lip Balm Quartet. Review.

November 03, 2012 0
Victoria Jackson Lip Addiction Lip Balm Quartet. Review.
After trying these for some time, I decided to make a quick review. Nothing extensive. Maybe I've used these stuff for like two to three times each and so yeah. Let's go!

So here's how mine exactly looks like. The label kind of messed up by itself already. But it doesn't really matter.

I researched a little bit and in the Philippines, it retails for like 960-ish php. Like, you get the four thingy already. Do I think it's worth the price? Not quite. Not that I don't like it though. But I just don't think it's worth 200-ish php each. It also comes  with a lip brush which is not that great by the way. I would have appreciated 4 brushes though. NO IDEA.

It actually doesn't have a name for each color. Or probably just the Japanese version. No idea. Like at the bottom, each just says Victoria Jackson and then Lip Addiction Lip Balm. But anyways.

I also prepared a swatch. Yay!

My favorite would probably be the second one. Both swatch and real thing. Like, the first one is kind of orange-y and the last two are kind of so-so. Very neutral.

I actually like the balmy consistency and how soft it feels on my lips. It's quite long lasting too. It's so non-sticky which is great and as you can see, it's quite pigmented. Yay for MOISTURE!

One thing I don't like about it though. Well, except for the price! It's quite messy to apply and all that. I mean, compared to a regular chapstick or your typical lip gloss, you have to have something for you to apply it hygienically to your lips. I mean, it's not always a good idea to scoop your product and apply it to your lips. Especially LIPS! So yeah! And who has time for lip brushes when on the go? That's all. :)

M.A.C Lustreglass Lipgloss. A Review.

October 27, 2012 0
M.A.C Lustreglass Lipgloss. A Review.
Howdy! You might have seen this one already before. I kind of posted it but I don't know what exactly. Some place like make up collection or make up thingy I think. I mean, where else can it be? Haha

I really used to love love love lip glosses. But now, not much. I don't know if I just think I'm too busy to do all that lip stuff or I'm just assuming to be. Or whatever.

The packaging is quite simple. It's translucent so you can see all the stuff going on inside the tube. Like, glittery stuff and all that.

I obviously would prefer colored lip gloss since I think I don't have much time (yeah right) to kind of top this on my lipstick and all that. But it's also nice to let this on this own as well so whatevs. And it's glittery so it's all good.

I love how the glitters are put together. I love how it gives you a simple pay off of color yet it seems to look kind of sophisticated. Like, "NOT YOUR SIMPLE GLOSS."

You know, I used to buy lip colored lip glosses because I like things shiny back then. I would buy blushes and powders with glitters too. But now, I guess that I am more of a matte person. Although I still like glitters on some aspects of life. K. Below are pictures of me with it on.

With a lip liner from M.A.C and a nude lipstick. And then with this particular lip gloss on. Too much stuff going on m Iy lips, eh? Haha

And excuse my eyes! I really have a tendency of having uneven eyes. MOST OF THE EFFING TIME. LOL.

What I don't like about it though is it picks up on the color of your base color. Like you can see the color on your lip gloss wand afterwards. Which is kind of off. So I therefore conclude that it's probably meant to be on its own. So I have to try.

Now without anything on. I can't really tell if I super like this product. I like how it's not sticky to the lips though. It's pretty thick but that's kind of nice because that means that it's kind of gonna stick to the lips better and it's gonna stay longer. Who wants to reapply? That's just a waste of product, yeah? We all want long lasting stuff.

Peau Belle Concealer. Review.

August 31, 2012 0
Peau Belle Concealer. Review.

I had this concealer since last year I believe and I've been using it ever since. I like it. It feels kind of light and yeah kind of velvety when you're applying it and stuff. My mom bought it from Japan but judging from the name of it, it doesn't sound like it came from Japan or something. I actually didn't bother to clean the tube. So yeah as you can see, it's pretty messy. Oh well. LOL. I actually never heard of this brand  before or whatever but yeah.

I  don't know if you can see it but it costs 300 yen and that's a pretty good deal for such product and stuff. And it's made in Taiwan. I'm confused right now. Anyways.

It comes in a gold kind of packaging. The packaging is not bad but nothing really special about it either. It comes with an applicator stick and it's really pretty easy to apply. What I do is that I put a little product at the back of my hand and warm it up by mixing it a little bit there and apply it to my problem areasssssssssssss so yeah. It's kind of easier that way than to actually apply it directly to the problem area and to kind of blend it there. I don't know.

SWATCH
It's takes quite a long time for this product to dry so you might want to dry it first before you apply another layer and stuff. It's a medium coverage concealer but you can add another layer or probably layers to achieve a fuller coverage.

I've actually used this concealer as a foundation quite a lot of times too. Just because it really feels good on and stuff. Luckily, I haven't had a problem with it or anything so yeah.

Nivea Soft Rose. Review.

July 20, 2012 2
Nivea Soft Rose. Review.
First things first, I kind of liked the idea that Nivea uses natural products (mostly). It makes me feel like I'm one with nature and all that stuff. I don't know why but I feel like using natural products is actually better than using all that chemicals and stuff. Well, not most of the time though. There are still synthetic products that works best. At this point, don't get confused. IT'S JUST ME.

I actually saw this product right before I bought the pomegranate one and I just thought that I did well that time. Like, for reals.

The packaging is quite classy.,Very simple.

I actually don't like this ROSEY thingy that much. I don't know why though. But it leaves a thin film of I don't know what that is and it doesn't feel right most of the time. Also, although not that shimmery, it feels a little dry and it does not make me think that it's actually moisturizing my lips like it claims too. It's actually very hard to apply too. Like, it's probably close to the feeling of rubbing some rose petals on your lips. Nah, just kidding. It just feels so wrong. It also has this strange scent that is comparable to play-doh which I don't like.

Excuse the mermaid thingy though.

Since it's color is not that pigmented, I actually tried to match it with my go-to lipstick but it just made my lips chapped which didn't happen to my previous lip moisturizers. Here's a swatch for you.

The color pay off is not really that well. It just gives off shiny particles which is not that beneficial. If not for the benefits it claimed to have, I would totally not like it but check this out.

I'm still giving the product a chance. Hopefully I would be able to like it and appreciate it. So there!

This is how the color looks like. I don't really know if the color is true because it actually looks the same as the color it is in the tube. But my lips are kind of pigmented as well so I don't know.

Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara. Review.

June 30, 2012 0
Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara. Review.

Here's how it looks like.

It's 9 ml so it's not really a lot. And for some reason, my tube is kind of dry already. I don't know of it's just me or the product kind of dried inside. I don't usually use mascara that often so I don't know what the hype is all about.

Here's how it's brush looks like :) I kind of like the tip of the brush because it makes it easier to apply mascara to the lower lashes.

The left picture is my eye with nothing on (but curled) And then the left is my eye with the mascara on. Pretty impressive and the change was quite dramatic but believe me, I WORKED HARD FOR IT. Like coats and coats and coats of mascaras to achieve this final look. Also, it can get really clumpy and stuff. I mean, I didn't do anything unusual for it to be potentially harmed and suddenly decided to kind of be coagulated inside so I don't know if I have anything to do with its faultiness and stuff. So yeah.

But with persistence and probably if I am not in a hurry or what, I don't mind coating my lashes so many times to make it look better, fuller and nicer.

I don't know if you noticed but my lashes really looks fuller and yeah so much dramatic than my natural lashes. I know mine when super done just looks like normal to you but whatever. LOL.

Also! I took Michelle Phan's advice not to forget the lower lashes because they also need some lovin' and stuff. See how it looks better?

So yeah, that's my review of it. I wouldn't choose it over any other nicer product. But probably for a survival kit or some sort of "I-don't-have-anything-else-to-use" then no choice. Gotta work it! :D

MAC Satin Lipstick. A review.

May 09, 2012 0
MAC Satin Lipstick. A review.

MAC Satin Lipstick's formula is really smooth and awesome when applied. It's not like those formula that's like when you're applying it, it sort of stops in the middle kind of formula.

This is what I hate about it. I actually have TWO tubes in the same colour. But since I got these as a gift, all good! I don't have much MAC products but I guess there's nothing very fancy about their packaging. Like, really. But it's all good. I actually watched a couple of April Favourites video awhile ago and someone from the bunch mentioned that if you're product is really good, you don't really need some fancy packaging which I guess is applicable for MAC. I mean, their packaging is not that trashy. It's actually quite simple yet classy.

FAUX 9D141 is actually kind of nude when applied. Or maybe that's just because of my yellow undertone or whatnot. My lips are not yellow of course! Hahaha. It's not that crazy nude kind of colour. It's actually like the colour of my lips alone. Maybe with a nice gloss, it's colour will come out more! :) Also, as you can see, the colour is really buildable so I guess that's a nice thing too. But of course, it might be nicer if the colour is like probably pink or red or you know.

I wouldn't say it's my favourite lipstick but it's actually not bad. But not that good either.

Elegance Foundation. Review.

Elegance Foundation. Review.

Can I just say that I super like the elegant packaging?

It comes in this very elegant gold and black combination. Awesome, right?

I also think that the coverage is awesome. This shade is like one shade darker than my skin tone so I was sort of hesitant to apply it but it actually works just fine. It kind of blended in my natural skin color without looking too dark and all that stuff. Wonderful!

Not to discourage you but here's what I look like with the product on
