Shinjuku Illumination 2016

Shinjuku Illumination 2016

I may have already mentioned here (or elsewhere) how I feel about Shinjuku. But you know, that didn't stop me from going there anyways. TBH, I still feel a little creeped out by it but whatever, you know.

Selfie

It would have looked cooler in my eyes if I haven't seen the Meguro first.

Rose Gold and Gold lights

Gorgeous!

I don't know if this is just coincidence but it was so cool! having them lined up like that.

I went after work and was surprised that it's kind of like the one in Meguro. It's not Sakura Pink though. It's a combination of what looks like Rose Gold and Gold lights which is a very subtle twist. I thought it's be the same colorful lights from 2014
but I guess they do change things a little every year. I should be back! Ciao!

Ebisu Illumination 2016

Ebisu Illumination 2016

It was quite a quick trip but I really enjoyed that time. I didn't know that I actually went on the last day of the illumination. Like, what? Talk about luck. It's very near work too so yay. It's not your typical walk in the park place though. It's Tokyo-ish. Busy. Crowded. Meh.

Chandelier! The bulbs represent how many years the chandelier is and I believe it's more or less 250. Don't take my word for it though.

This place is a short path that's quite irrelevant but lit up in blue anyways.

Not the Christmas Tree I'm referring to

Also missed the Christmas Tree! Meh. I will get back to it soon. If I remember. Also, am I the only sad person here because I didn't take a selfie? Mmmm. It's just not quite my blogging style if there's no selfie. Anyways. I'm starting to type non-sense. So bye!

 Ciao!

Meguro River Illumination 2016

Selfie

Conveniently just 15 minutes away from work, I decided to go after my shift and was left in surprise with what I saw. Well nothing there yet when I arrived because it's quite early but you get the point. When the clock chimed at 5pm, everything suddenly turned pink. It was magical.

Meguro Gawa Minna no Illumination

Pink Lights

Supposed to look like Sakura trees and it did not fail. Loved its water reflection even.

I'm sure professional photographers would just laugh at the shot above but I was quite impressed with this little failure to focus shot as I would like to call it.

I felt like a princess walking around her own garden for a sec.

I actually wonder if they're Sakura trees. I bet it's just as beautiful during Spring. I should be back!

Fairy tale-ish trail. I was impressed with this place because you know, very quiet because for some reason, one little thing I hate about Tokyo is that it's kind of touristy and I find it really hard to breathe sometimes and maybe I don't make sense (just because) but yeah this place is really subtle and peaceful and not crowded at all! Ciao!

Yoyogi Park Illumination 2016

Sea of Blue

Last 2 years, I promised I'd go to illuminations. I actually thought I wouldn't be able to but with a little more determination, I managed to somehow sneak in! Last year was kind of fail (in general that is) but anyways, this year and early next year will be nothing but memorable.

I mean, just look at that beauty. Can I just say that as much as I'm almost running out of time with these events, because I forgot to bring my camera the first time, I had to go back the next week to take proper pictures. Waste of time but you know, this kind of place is not something you'll get tired of apparently. And it's near work.

Also, iPhone 7 Plus' camera is not as near as good as a DSLR. Whoever tell you otherwise is clearly lying. Pft!

Crowded!!! It's a fairytale venue with lots of prince and princesses so it's hard to feel like the only jewel in this one.

Yoyogi Park in Shibuya

This was actually the easiest place to go to since it's like a 10 minute walk from work.

Ao no Dokutsu

It's rather a short track but nonetheless beautiful. Kind of hard to take selfie though. The lights make you look like Avatar or something.

Exhibit A

Exhibit B

That's all! Ciao!
