Three-leaf Clover

Three-leaf Clover

There are certain things that I'm very lucky about. But I'm not gonna talk about it all. One is that when all these things happened, is that I am in Japan. Because hey, life is probably too short for second chances. This is in chronological order by the way. Not that it really matters.

First, when I finished shopping for goodies, I returned to my room and spent like a couple minutes wondering nothings when it hit me. There's something missing. Then I looked for it. Where is my wallet? I was then certain that it was not with me and I was definitely dead. Cash cards, credit cards, and some cash. But most of all! My PRC license which in no way I can replace so soon now that I am away from my mother land. I remember leaving it in my bike basket and since I was that unlucky (oh not really) I even parked it in front of the mansion where it's kinda public because I would be getting out again soon. Sweet! I then hurried down and than goodness! It was still there.

Second, this happened on the same day by the way. I went to the train station's shopping place to get more stuff and parked my bike at its proper parking place and when I was checking some stuff, I heard something fell. Then mothereffer, I realized I don't have my key. I have a spare key at home which lessens any worries of my key losing but then I was like, if I lose this, I have just one more left and no spare! Which sucks. Anyways, I know I looked crazy looking everywhere like under everything and making rounds probably at least three times before I call it a day and then just to check, I went to the parking and saw the key still in there! LOL. Stupid.

Third and the last. I buy my e-Ticket every month because it cuts off the cost of actual buying tickets everyday into half! Almost! So I bought my ticket shortly after my last ticket expired and then on my way to work, I was able to exit Sagamihara so I know I still have it that time and I was actually careful that I placed it on its card holder and stuff and then when I was about to enter Nakayama, no more card!! Searched literally everywhere to find it but no luck in finding the thing so I was like, hopeless!! As much as I want to look for it longer, I have work to attend to so no. I reported it to authority and carried on. They said they would call whenever there's anything. Two days later, no call so I thought I'd just move on. When I was about to buy a new ticket though, the guy was like thinking hard about something and he didn't even excuse himself and left. I didn't mind though because I know that it might have something to do with my ticket and it did! Apparently, someone surrendered my ticket at Shin Yokohama and he asked me if I could pick it up and yeah I did pick it up and voila! Reunited with my ticket. I wouldn't probably panick if it's less than 3000 yen but then yeah. That's all!

Irritating as it Can Be.

Irritating as it Can Be.
Yesterday, I saw a screen capture of a tweet from one of my favorite showbiz personalities. Bianca Gonzales. I like her. I like what she does. I like her blog. Almost everything. But for some reason, people can't digest some of her point of views. This for example.

If you ask me, there's really nothing wrong with what she've tweeted. Also, she didn't say anything that isn't by bit true. I have complained about informal settlers myself so I'm obviously with her in this. What disturbs me is that people are reacting like crazy!! Why though? I've read the comments and it really made me go nuts. Nakakahiya naman sa inyo. We are all entitled to our own opinions but this is like, out of bounce. At least for me.

She's obviously a working individual and she probably pays more tax than half of those who commented and said those nasty things. If I were her, I would have said the same thing too. I sure wouldn't want my hard earned money to be spent on people who CAN work but are too lazy to function and blame the government instead. This isn't about how the Philippine Government function but whatever. I want it to be spent on something I could benefit from. Sabi nga nila, gamitan lang yan. But what the heck is happening? I'm not saying that they shouldn't be taken care of. Come on, even grown ups need a little bit of care sometimes. I'm just saying that they shouldn't be the priority or something. And I'm not saying that they are being prioritized either. But that's what it looks like to me. If they are promised something, most likely, they wouldn't want to make an effort to speed up the process. Far from reality but maybe if the government wouldn't promise them anything, maybe they would do something to make their lives better than just to whine and  wait for the government's blessings. Asa pa diba. Sad but that's true for some. Funds should go to the health and education department. Mostly. Also, tourism.

Can I just touch on this topic a little bit? What annoys me the most is that most informal settlers don't want to be relocated to where the government want them to be placed. I bet some place where it's legal for them to stay. But of course to avoid overcrowding of the city capital and stuff as well. But what? They come back. And they come back bigger! I don't mind if they actually have work here but those who don't, WTF? They were also saying that they don't want to move because they feel like they were being isolated. Right. Kaya nga informal settlers. Meaning, you don't belong. Illegal. Informal. And hirap naman. Then some of them would say that they can't afford the fee that these relocation centers require. Then you would see them drinking beers in the afternoon and in the middle of the night. Also, gambling! Playing BINGO and stuff. Not true for all but this is what I see so I can't really decipher why people are hating on Bianca.  Shame on her shame on her pa. If you're not doing anything to help these informal settlers find a better place to live and to not actually make their lives easier, SHAME ON YOU!

Props to Yeeshii Tobia for being on Bianca's side because that really made me feel like there's hope! There's still hope!

Sexuality (not quite).

Sexuality (not quite).
Today I would like to introduce a regular segment I would like to do in my blog. I just noticed how bloggers have things they do regularly and I don't. I don't want to copy them or whatnot but I just want to have a regular session and stuff like that. I decided to make THURSDAYS as the day for that sessions. I also decided to name it Talkin' Thursday. Meaning I'd put a picture (or not) and generally talk about how I feel about it. So yeah, here it goes.

Well, people are different. We are all different. And some people might take it differently than I do. But here's just my point.

First and foremost. What do you mean sit down? Sit down as in the literal sit down? Or did it have to mean something else? I mean, if ladies would literally just sit down, then that'll then classify us as lazy, irresponsible, and all that. And wow on that gentleman part. If guys would just act the way they should act, then irregardless of what girls do, then there wouldn't a problem. Serious stuff.

And why should gentlemen stand up only when ladies sit down? I mean, how lazy is that? Douche!

I'm not saying that THAT IS THE SITUATION now though. I'm just so curious where this typography came from. I really want to understand this.

One thing to take note about me is that I think feminism is not something I entirely am promoting. Enough said.

Anyways, I want to address the ladies more than the gents here. Because ladies, if we will just let this happen, then that's like not fair. NOT FAIR AT ALL. We should be aware that we have voices too. We have a say.

And for the gents. I know most ladies say that it's all your fault and all that. They might be right. Might be wrong. Just do what you think is right. I believe in your species.
Also, looking at it on a different side, if sit down actually means to shut up, then that'll just light up another thing and I say for both ladies and gentlemen that WE SHOULD LEARN WHEN TO SPEAK AND WHEN TO LISTEN. Because the way I look at it, it's as if ladies don't have the right to speak and all that. So yeah. I just want to say that we should always strive to be equal. Because at the end of the day, and at the end of all these, we will be.

Another side that I'm looking at is the side of RESPECT. Like, if girls would just learn how to act like a lady, which I assume is something like talking properly, acting nicely, being somehow demure, and all that then they would be respected by boys and all that. Gentlemen are gentle-men right? So yeah. But hold on right there! Shouldn't guys respect girls from the very start? Isn't that the standard? Guys protecting girls? Mmm...

I'm also seeing some side of ABUSE right here. It's as if this typography is actually trying to justify that it's alright to abuse and put hands on the girls if they don't act like a lady. Or maybe I'm wrong and just seeing things differently. But like what I've said awhile ago, that is just my point.

But talking about abuse (may it be verbal or physical),

If there's one thing I can't forget from my Ethics, Psychology, Philosophy and Logic classes, THE END DOES NOT JUSTIFY THE MEANS that is.

So even though how wrong the situation might be, even if it's so helpless and all that, or how wrong the other person is, beating someone up or abusing them verbally will just add to the problem. Yes, they might be able to realize they're wrong and will be afraid to do it again once they've been physically hurt. Yes, they might be able to realize they're wrong when mean words have been said to them. But looking at it in a more reasonable way, there's almost no point. What's the difference in talking normally and talking in an abusive kind of manner? Things have been done. In most of the cases, there's no turning back.

Human beings are generally good. I believe in that. But I understand that there are just some certain situations in life when we feel like we have to do certain things to achieve something good. But that doesn't justify doing bad stuff.

And for me, that goes hand in hand with this. May it be a lady, a gentleman, anyone, if we would just master how to act our best, then there wouldn't be a problem whether one sits down or stands up whatever that means.
