My Girls!

January 09, 2018 0
My Girls!

Yas. My high school besties. Super awesome that we get to see each other again. It’s so hard to match our offs. Like for example, these two saw each other on their way to work and they literally only said “hi” to each other and moved on. ADULTING IS HARD.

chicharon

Sago’t Gulaman with Diana’s favorite vinegar. She literally asked the waiter if the complimentary crackers is refillable because the vinegar is life!

Sinigang na Bangus Belly

Pinakbet

I can’t believe I ate the ampalaya on this dish. No bitterness at all!!! My mama (also lola) love Ampalaya with Spam and egg and they would always offer me some and say that it’s not bitter but it would always taste bitter so I already gave up on ampalaya but the one they served there literally taste like nothing that I don’t even know if it’s still
a good thing. But I liked it.

Baked Chicken Asado

Not sure if any of mentioned name is official but that's basically what it is so ya know!

After dinner, we went to Trinoma and thought we should watch movie and so we did. We watched Siargao. I liked it! I mean, if you want a movie with no BS, this is it. It’s just so real.

high school sweethearts

So after we watched the movie, we went back to SM to see the lights. And at last...Oh yes. Disney reference for you who did not understand ;)

yas mi loves

Can I just say that it’s been a while since we three became friends? I know I may have mentioned but just imagine there’s two more years added to that like, oh my gulay! 1 dekada na tayo mga inday!

Christmas Tree

Not diggin’ this tree.

yas fountain

It was so nice catching up with these two. Especially when you get to walk around with trees full of lights. I don’t know if we would be able to do this anytime soon but that short time we shared was so worth it! :)

Playing Catch Up with my Friends

March 24, 2014 2
Playing Catch Up with my Friends
Last Friday, my friends from Internship and I met up for dinner. And as usual, talked about stuff. It was really nice meeting and catching up with them. Like, it's been really nice.

I know I usually categorize my friends but I really do not think of being more friends with my other friends or something. I just want to appreciate how it all started you know.

JUST CHECKIN THE HAIR LOL
Over at Facebook, we actually tried to figure out where to eat and we were choosing between Conti's and Banapple. We chose Banapple. So as usual, we talked about life in general. It was awesome. I pointed out that we were really different back then. We didn't have much outlook and things to look after to and stuff. Now that we were out, it's just awesome. But hard.

My friend K changed quite a bit and was able to down this whole stuff! Way back internship, she would probably just touch the sides but I'm really proud of her.

Another friend K, ordered this. The only girl who didn't have rice.

And then I got Cream Dory. I also shared my experience with the corn last time and yeah the corn was so-so that time and so yeah.

I had Strawberry Cheesecake. If you're a fan of cheesecake,  this is nice because it's a compact kind of cheesecake. Like, I hate it when it's not like that. Although I still prefer Blueberry Cheesecake over this but that'll do. But I still think their Bannoffee is the winner.

It'll be quite a while before we meet each other. K would probably be a model/beauty queen that time and my another friend K would probably be a med student or maybe a doctor that time even. But I can't wait. Thanks.

Banapple SM North

Banapple SM North
Hola guys! I just wanna share! On Christmas day, after we attended a mass at Our Lady of Hope and then we went to SM North and had lunch.

Momma orderin'
Mari
Mika and Mama
yummy cakes! :)

I don't know if it's just me but their Pasta Verde was dry as eff. I finished it though because it's in my nature to finish food but yeah. Also! Well my sister, grandma, and mom ordered a rice meal which comes with a corn side dish and it was sour! Spoiled obvi so my mom informed the waitress and she was just like "talaga ma'am" and I was like, WTF? Ano to chikahan lang? It was not a good experience but thanks to the cakes that somehow brightened my mood.

Everyday Cheers!

December 14, 2013 2
Everyday Cheers!

I look very pale nowadays. But that's besides the point. Hello there guys.

Recently, I got a recommendation from my sister about this tea place near her school. Well my previous school too to be proper. She said it's pretty nice and somehow hidden. That I like for sure. First thing she recommended me is their Smores! I have been looking for a place that serves this for so long and I'm just lucky to be able to find one.

SMORES <3

It's a pretty small piece for what it's worth I think but whatever. It's quite good. Not good as in GOOD but uhm good enough. And also, not that expensive actually.

My cousin who doesn't really like marshmallows enjoyed it too. So that's nice.

Oh I'm pretty disappointed with their teas though. We both had something from the Rock Salt but yeah it was such a disappointment at some point. I mean, not really that good. Not even average kind of.

My cousin got the Dark Chocolate and I got their Wintermelon tea. I wouldn't recommend either of it.

What I liked though is their Waffle. Blueberry Cream Cheese to be exact. Will review more flavors soon but yeah definitely try this out if you may.

Their fries is okay and they serve it i this mason jar kind of thing and yeah nice one. I think it's pretty small for the price though. Anyways. That's all I have for you guys. See yah!

Memory Corner | Flashback Friday 7

October 11, 2013 0
Memory Corner | Flashback Friday 7

1. I have made my best and blog about this trip in two parts so please check that out. I so want to go back there with these people! Like, can I just have a break for a second? No? Why? Lol. Anyway, this shot is in the middle of nowhere and we just stopped by here on our way home and our couldn't be any better because you know, it's free and it's just nice. It's a perfect place to view the Taal Volcano and Taal Lake panoramically.

2. This is when we had our haircut. It's insane because when I looked at my face on the screen, I just can't stop laughing at my new face. I don't know but there sure is something funny with my face that I can't help it but laugh at myself. I was probably a bit shocked slash weirdo.

3. This is when we were buying street BBQs. I love my cousin Yoshi. He's just full of expressions and just so alive almost all the time. He's always energetic and would make face in pictures and stuff like that. And yeah, he's just fantastic.

4. Celebration with family. When I passed the board examination, I celebrated with friends and my family. This one is at Kamay Kainan at Trinoma which I somehow don't recommend. My sister got a cut from their rusty sorbetes cart and like how can they not maintain the safety of that cart? Who knows if the ice cream container itself is also rusty?

5. Chicken Charlie! I remember I treated my cousin on my second day of work because I love her like that. The food is not really worth its price in my opinion. I think I would go and choose Bon Chon over this. It's slightly more pricey but the quality is kind of the same. My cousin also told me that her chickens are kind of dry. But food is still food. :)

Share Your Blessings

October 06, 2013 0
Share Your Blessings
Hello guys! I just want to share what happened yesterday. Because I think it's worth sharing (everything is for me anyway) and so yeah this is how it went. The game plan is to go to the Professional Regulation Commission and to get tickets for the Mass Oath Taking and then go to the University of Santo Tomas to get my Alumni Card.

When I was still a reviewee, I tried something from this restaurant with my co-intern/co-reviewee and I kind of liked it so I endorsed it to my cousin. What you see above is what I ordered. Which I kind of regret because I don't know I think everything is just kind of mismatched. It's Seafood Sisig but then I think they could do better with the freshness of the ingredients. I loved their Tea though. Oh for some reason, they don't have the food I want. It already happened twice but anyways.

Posting this to show you guys how poor my cousin's iPhone photography skill is. LOL just kidding. She said she'll do better next time.

This is the ticket I got from PRC. Can I just say that I really find it expensive. The ticket is like 1k each and I just can't help but remember my Graduation Ball held at Diamond Hotel for like 1200 Php I guess? So I better get the same service and the same food! :)) I heard quite a lot of bad things about the food but I 'll be kind and try to appreciate everything and I'll blog about it soon.

I present to you my Alumni Card which is kind of a long time coming item because this is what happened. Cards should have been out by July 1st but then they said they have problems with their machine so they delayed it and said it would be out by the end of the month and then I checked and they said the cards wouldn't be out until the end of August. So yeah that happened. Can't really complain about it since I think they did their best at some point.

Can I just say that this is like a proud moment 101 when I saw my friend's Kim banner. I kind of saw this already on my other friend's Facebook post but like seeing it in real life kind of makes me prouder. Oh the reason why entitled this Share You Blessings is that I happened to receive my first paycheck and that kind of slipped away just like that. Oh wells. Irrelevant actually.

Noodly Kind of Day

September 23, 2013 0
Noodly Kind of Day

I don't know but for some reason, with all the post it notes surrounding the room, I think the room is kind of getting smaller. Which is not really okay I think. Also, as much as I appreciate the Korean TV vibe, I hope they would improve the screen and make the TV bigger somehow.

I was craving for this one and I wasn't actually even hungry that time. I went to a government agency to get something and then we went to PRC and then to UST to get the alumni card (fail) so yeah. And yeah I was craving for this all through out. But not only this!

Cousin craved for Dynamite and so I craved for it as well.

But then I ended up liking this more. My cousin doesn't like spicy food that much so she probably had 4 chopstickfuls of this and it was me who finished this. I liked this! Will probably crave for this next time. No regrets!

Despite my cousin not liking spicy food, she finished these side dishes almost all by herself! Who are you kidding, woman? LOL.

Finished the meryenda/dinner with these babies. Love love love this! I think I was disappointed because the cheesecake was out of stock and so no choice, we had choco.

Just beware though! It's gonna be gone just like that! LOL. This is like very light and I told my cousin I might be able to eat three of this consecutively. Just because it's that light. It's like eating nothing deliciously.

My cousin eating deliciously. I hope they would restock with their cheesecake! And I hope it would be as good as imagine it to be.

Ramen in PH?

September 21, 2013 1
Ramen in PH?
So I have told you about me not being a fan of Japanese food here in the Philippines but hey! This is just a proof that we shouldn't generalize things. Dad's friends recommended this and it was really worth trying.

Can I just say that it's pretty affordable. I mean, Ramen in Japan is usually 580 and above so that would be like 240 pesos or something.

Family picture. I was wearing yellow to support the Salinggawi Dance Troupe but yah know! FAIL.

Mika! Nothing really special about this picture. I like to call this a filler. Hahaha peace Mika. Oh can I just say that I like the interior! It's not very Japanese but it can give you that feel. This is at Taisho Ramen if you're wondering.

Not the best ramen I've tasted but this one is hella better from the rest I've tasted here in the Philippines. This one is close. I like everything about this bowl of ramen. Except probably the way they offer you the garlic. Usually in Japan, they kind of blended the garlic already whilat here in this place, they serve it by clove and then they give you this device which is quite confusing and hard to operate. Anyways, will try more from that store. Almost everyone ordered the same except for my mom who is not a fan of ramen. Well except when we're in Japan. :)
