If You Ever Come Back!

March 31, 2013 0
If You Ever Come Back!
And this I swear is true! I'll do anything and everything to be able to watch you. I know that I declared Sunday as my rest day but since I didn't get to secure myself a ticket for The Script world tour that is happening at this moment while I'm typing, I think I deserve to do anything just forget about that. I deserve to be happy. Or at least I think.

By the way guys, Happy Easter! :)

Since we're talking about  Easter, I just want to share that I actually haven't tried that Egg Hunting thing.

Okay although I can't really move on about The Script, I have to move on. So for now I'll jet tell you guys what happened awhile ago.

We went to the church at around 9:30 am and mom said that we should be awake at 8 because of stuff and so we did. But the thing is I wasn't able to sleep early because I was thinking of The Script. Plus! Just before I thought of sleeping na, I saw their AIRPORT PICTURE. What??

YOU DON'T DO THAT TO ME! :)) MY FEELS.
Okay so balik tayo sa church. I would just like to share the homily with you actually. Well, somehow. It's more of my homily actually but anyways. The priest said that we, human beings are always running for an escape. He said that as we are doing so, we are running away from hope. Just a thought to ponder on.

But I say that sometimes, it's actually good to run for an escape because sometimes you can't really beat it all. Or maybe you're actually just wasting your time trying something that's not really meant for you. Unless you've committed yourself to do a certain thing, there's nothing wrong settling for PLAN B or something. It's a different story though when it comes to relationships, commitments, and all that. But if you believe that you ALREADY TRIED everything and it still didn't work. There's still probably hope but maybe running away would give you better hope. I'm not saying that the priest is wrong or something. I'm just saying. He didn't actually say something that I am against or something but that's just my say on that. Also, this is not applicable to criminals. RUN AWAY YOUR FACE.

Okay so after that we decided to eat and then we went to Robinson's to buy souvenirs from here to our neighbors in Japan. And then we went to Harrison's Plaza to buy some more stuff that we didn't find at Rob and so yeah. I feel sorry for my feet because literally, I wasn't able to feel it na at some point awhile ago. That's all! :)

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!
This is sort of what I did and yeah it's not a lot but I'm just glad that I get this day as my off day because you know! It's just so perfect. Like, I'm off because it's Tuesday and it's like no classes and you probably know by now that TUESDAY is UNI DAY and since there's no UNI, there's nothing for me. Plus! I guess I'm just so lucky that there's no duty as well.

Went to church with mom, sisters, grand mom, and cousin! :)

Then we went to that place by the bay which apparently have all these attractions for kids and all that. I actually don't know whether or not this is a Christmas thing or if it's there forever but whatever.

Hotdog on stick with MUSTARD! Love love love.

It was nice looking at it. Like, it was so calming and everything.

Sister with her corn.

Saw this The Hobbit thing. I haven't seen it yet and when I finally have the time to, it's not showing anymore. I don't know if it's temporary because cinemas usually make way for local films this time of the year. I really really want to watch it. Oh well.

We watched Sisterakas. Which I would be reviewing later. I guess.

Closer to nature.

Closer to nature.

Hi! I have been to a 3 days retreat in Caleruega, Batangas. Just a little something something. There are only two Caleruegas in the world. One here in the Philippines and the other one in Spain. The view is just fantastic. Like, so much fresh air going on. No phone signal though. Poor reception on most spots. I kind of felt bad for my mom because I wasn't able to reply to her messages on time and that I wasn't able to answer her call at some point.

We actually had three speakers I believe but I'd be refering them three as "him" or "speaker" or whatever so don't be confused.

There are quite a lot of things that I've learned from this retreat. I think I've said this before but like, to tell you the truth, I'm not really a religious-religious person. I don't think it's a good thing. I don't think it's bad. I don't think it's anything. It's just as simple as that. I don't know.

I  just want to list some of the things I've learned (believe) so to make things easier.

1. We should acquire the traits that we want to have in the future while we still can.

- The speaker actually described our lives into a GELATIN. Liquid, gelatin, and frozen. While we were young, we are actually the liquid. We take the form of any containers. When the liquid stage is done, we now become the gelatin. The gelatin, though already formed, there's still something you can do to somehow change it. The frozen stage is actually ourselves during like, the late stage of our lives. And the frozen stage is irreversible. So the point is! While we are in the liquid or gelatin form, we should invest on the traits that we want to have in the frozen stage.

2. Life does not come with a pause button. It goes on.

- The speaker actually showed quite a lot of evolutionary pictures. Like, people growing up, becoming older and stuff. How their faces changed and all that. He said that even though we want to take back yesterday or slow down our aging process, it just won't happen as we wish.

3. Our failure does not define who we are.

- That's right! We should learn from it and do better next time.

4. We are a product of our choices.

- Just like what one of our speakers said, our life is like a buffet. In a buffet, right? People would choose what they want to eat and stuff so yeah. I kind of agree. Like, I don't believe that someone's born to be exactly what they are now. Life is always about choices. So choose wisely.

5. Our moms will stay with us no matter what.

- I love my mom. I just love her in general! <3

6. Growing old is different as growing up.

7. Jesus is not like an ATM machine.

- I don't know if I already told you this but I really don't like people who go to the Church without knowing why they're there. Some people in the Church don't actually listen to the gospels and all that. What they do there is text, talk to whoever they're with, complain about the heat, see their friends without actually intending to pray and all that. For someone who don't go to the Church that often, I'm a little bit offended by these people. Because when I pray, I pray.

8. We should practice seeing the good things in people.

9. We should know when to listen and when to talk.

10. There are some things that we can only learn by experience.

So yeah. These are just some of the things I've learned. It was quite an experience. Maybe not as enjoyable than my high school recollection though. Maybe because that time, we were with people we know. This was kind of different because we have to choose from the limited slots available from each batch and stuff. But thinking about it, we needed the break given to us. We have to make up for it of course. But I don't mind.

Story soon!

Church and State.

Church and State.

First of all, I want to make it clear that I don’t mean to offend anyone with this post. I just want to make a point. I don't actually care but here's my say anyways.

If you’re familiar with the things that are happening here in the Philippines, you might want to join my side. If not, not my problem. At least you have an opinion. That’s good enough for me.

There are state issues that I think, should stay with the state you know. I know pretty well that the church have the right to do things but so is the state. Fair enough. If both side would just do their own thing, then what can be the problem? People are trained to be where they are so more or else they know what they are doing yeah?

I had a debate with an attorney-to-be regarding that art exhibit in CCP recently. I said it doesn’t bother me and all that but he questioned my point of view and all other stuff. I’m disappointed merely because some law students doesn’t even know who they’re fighting for. All good. He was also able to mention that there is a law that separates the state and the church. So be it. Law is a law right?

What worries me the most is that we can’t make good decisions anymore. I’m not saying that the church is bad. Alright? I just want to say that sometimes, they should leave it alone to the state. And I actually haven't heard of anything like the state interfering to the activities of the church so maybe I'm a little bit one sided and actually maybe there isn't.

I’m not a state person either. I just think that it’ll be better if they will do their job the way they should do it. I think it’ll be better that way. What do you have to say?
