Rhinoplasty | 6 mos. Post-Op

July 06, 2016 1
Rhinoplasty | 6 mos. Post-Op

For all of you who didn't know, I had my nose done six months ago and from then, it improved a lot. No more swelling, I guess? When touched (should I be touching?), it still feels kind of stiff but way better than before (oops). I like how it kind of feels more natural now. I probably got used to it or something. I should be taking care of it more though I think. When exposed to cold weather, it turns red which kind of freaks me out but yeah, in general, great improvement. I have very sensitive skin so if I get a pimple on my nose, I kind of freak-out because you know, what if it's an infection or something? Oh, World Wide Web. You give me mini heart attacks sometimes. Also, now, I don't really get bothered by my sleeping position but I should really be careful. No one really wants a displaced implant. I know that it will still get better over time so I will probably update you one last time about my rhinoplasty. I probably already told you but I remember my surgeon said that what you see in 6 months is what you'll see in 1 year. So talk to you about this then. Ciao!

100 Yen Shop Face Mask

August 18, 2015 0
100 Yen Shop Face Mask

I can't explain how much I like this product. For its price, it does something. I've known this product for quite a while now because my auntie sent me this once when I was still based in the Philippines. I actually forgot what my relationship with this product was. Gotta check out my old blog I guess ;)

It has charcoal so I'm guessing it can purify my skin or something like that. For a hundred yen, I'm not really after that purifying stuff anymore. The fact that it can effectively remove whiteheads is more than enough. Because you know, there are 500 yen products that doesn't even work, I mean, come on. Also, it's not like, one use and bam! You can actually use it for like 4-5 times depending on how big your face is. Ouch. Really though.

I don't know about the pores but it made my face smooth and soft after peeling so yay! Win-win. If you can, I recomment you get this product and try for yourself. Ciao!

Maybelline BB Watergel

June 18, 2014 0
Maybelline BB Watergel
Recently, I have been not so happy with the condition of my skin when going out. I mean, as much as I thank goodness for clearing it up and saving it from little monsters, it's just still not the way I wish it looked. Anyways. There are so many Drugstore Brands available in the market but since my skin is a sensitive mess, I thought I should just stick to what I know will not hurt much. For now.

I got Maybelline Pure BB Mineral Watergel. I don't know if it's the official name for it but whatever, right? Anyways. It retails here for 1200 yen (tax excluded) which I find kind of expensive. But everything is expensive here so whatever. I find that it doesn't have the scent I hate on my Maybelline BB stick which is nice!! I'm just so happy I don't have to deal with that.

They do have 2 shades available being #1 Natural Beige and #2 Medium Beige. I got #1 because I'm assuming that this product will oxidize. Plus! It's summer. I don't know why that matters. LOL. I actually swatched both of them when I was deciding what to pick and they're not actually that different so yeah. Actually, when blended, they look pretty the same to me so on to what I think would work better. Assuming as always!

It doesn't give much coverage but I guess it will make my skin look more presentable than just being on its own. Also, I think since it's summer, I could use some SPF. I don't actually know what watergel is for. Maybe for soothing the skin or probably for easy application or actually whatever but yeah this product claims to do the same thing as the BB Stick so hopefully it won't break me out as well.

Beauty Stuff I Never Got

April 28, 2014 0
Beauty Stuff I Never Got

Hola!! So today, I will share with you things that I found out that are FOR ME but never really got into my hands until a few days ago. It's funny because my mom told me to find things that I can bring to my new place and then I saw this in her bag. I know that it is mine because my tita labeled it MIKI yet once again. LOL. Thanks though!! :))

I initially thought that this would be a perfume but then it's a shadow refill palette which I don't know when to use but it's a very nice and smooth formula which I think would be so easy to work with. Just not for me. This is kind of expensive too! Like 2000 yen plus for a refill? Mmm...

Also, the colors are very wearable. A not so overpowering brown and a very soft pink. Of course I'm just making up the names. What's new?

This I am excited about! Like, I am starting to get really into blushes. I wasn't before because of my acne! I hate hate hate acnes! But I guess that's how we all feel about it, right? So yeah. I think the color though is kinda lighter than what I wished for but this will do!! :)

If you'd like to get the same color, you can make the code above your reference.

It's the swirl it type blush which kinda make it interesting but since I like it darker, I might stick to the darker color. It's not actually as dark as it looks like. Kinda sad.

This I am also so excited about!! Recently, I have been paying attention to my brows because you know, some beauty guru said that it frame the eyes so yeah! My brows are also more manageable now that it was before so yeah good job parlor person! :) I usually just darkens it and accentuate the arc but sometimes I tend to overdo it so I guess I have to practice more.

There's something about a acrylic packaging that gets me! I don't know. I think this packaging is pretty cool.

I don't know which is which but yeah I think both can go to the brows. No idea.

Then I got a shimmer! I don't really know when to use this at all but for some reason, it ended up inside my everyday make up bag. Just in case! LOL.

The sparkles are really really fine that I think it would go well as eyeshadow (it id an eyeshadow) but I think I would just use it and use it as shimmer when I'm wearing an off shoulder or something. Right? That's all guys! I hope you enjoyed reading. See yah!

Renoma Happy Heart Lip Palette

March 30, 2014 1
Renoma Happy Heart Lip Palette

I remember being given this but haven't really used it because I was not really a fan of lip products other than adding tinted lip balms on my lips and stuff but recently, I thought why not? The packaging reminds me of Michelle Phan's EM packaging which is like very minimalist with its clear acrylic looking packaging.

I think it was my mom who gave this to me. Thanks, momma! To be honest, I probably won't buy a lip palette for myself as I am not a fan of it. I like the traditional lip bullet type of product but thinking about it, this kind of stuff is really convenient when travelling and all that jazz, yeah?

Swatches above and below are the same but the one below was taken with a flash. So just in case you're wondering what this would look like with a flash, there you go! You're welcome. :)

This palette consist of pretty colors that are suited for young girls. I mean, not that I am a young girl but you get what I mean? It's very girly and that nice hint of color is just about right for everyday wear. They are glossy which is kind of nice and yeah it's a very lovely palette in my opinion.

Ever Bilena Advance Whitening BB Cream

March 10, 2014 2
Ever Bilena Advance Whitening BB Cream
Hi guys! I believe I have told you about my search for a BB cream. Or did I? Well anyways. I have yet to consume another one from another brand. And this is probably the most affordable of the bunch.

I might actually have bought a shade darker than my shade because you know, I just grabbed it and didn't notice that there is actually a difference between the boxes there. Silly me. I don't know but recently, my face have actually gotten darker because of acne treatment that is making it burn for some reason. Not really burn as in burn but yeah it's making it kind of red so I think this might work.

So this is from a brand called Ever Bilena which I haven't used any other products from but a brand that I am very familiar of. It's basically kind of everywhere here in the Philippines. Mostly supermarkets and drugstores. So yeah.

Swatches! I simply must do them every effing time. No reason. LOL.

They do have two variants of their BB Cream and obvi I got the Whitening but the other one is actually an Anti-Wrinkle formula which I believe I don't need yet. So I got this one instead. I don't actually know if it really whitens and stuff but yeah.

This retails for 220 pesos which is very cheap! I actually wanted to try it basically because it's cheap. I hope it does work though. Even though it's cheap, I wouldn't want my money to go to waste just like that. Anyways.

As you may have witnessed, it kinda blends in with my color but not really. I have a strong feeling that since I have such an oily skin, this would probably oxidize and just boom! Darker face! But yeah hopefully not. I have lots of hopes for this product.

The only thing I kind of don't like about it so far is that it doesn't state to have an SPF which sucks but then at the back, it says it has something to protect the skin from the harmful rays of sun. That's good enough I guess?

This is what it looks like with flash photography. Not much of difference but yeah hopefully (yet another hope), it's not because of the lack of SPF.

The only thing I don't like about this product is that it has a somehow unpleasant smell. It's like bearable but yeah I'm just not accustomed to the smell. But the smell of Maybelline's BB Stick is more offensive so yeah. See yah guys next time!

Sassy Colors Nail Polishes

December 29, 2013 1
Sassy Colors Nail Polishes
Hi guys I just want to show you what I got from the exchange gift we had at the dinner party. I told you that it was sort of a wish list process (which I hate) but yeah that's another story. I'm nonetheless thankful for what I received. The one who got my name actually went a little overboard the said price so thanks!

I wished for nail polishes (surprise surprise) and yeah these are my new babies.

I just thought it would be nice to have new colors for new year and stuff just to play around and color my life! For eff's sake. Don't worry I'm not gonna put these on my lips LOL.

I really liked the gift despite me knowing what it will be but yeah it was a nice variety of colors which I like and yeah I also liked that most of the colors (if not all) are the colors that I would have picked myself. I like the baby pink shade (left) and the salmon color (right). I just think that I like subtle colors more nowadays. By the way when they asked for the wish list, I wrote ''nail polish' right? Moments later, there was a response and basically asking what color I prefer and then I replied 'except black/white'. Okay.

I'm really intrigued by their color change thing and I can't wait to see what the fuss is all about or if there's any. I will observe therefore next time. So that's it guys! By the way my mom kept one bottle herself. LOL. Bye!

Must Eyetem Mascara

December 11, 2013 0
Must Eyetem Mascara
Lately,  I have not been including mascara to my routine. It's just a time consuming step to add. Especially when you're already like a minute late to your schedule. Don't even talk "prepare early" with me because that's just irrelevant. LOL.

So maybe less than a month ago, my mom went to haul a good amount of products from a Korean store and she was so nice to get me a mascara to try. I don't know but it's like all of a sudden. Maybe she remembered that I want to get any of those colorful fat Maybelline mascaras so yeah.

The moment she told me it's from Korea, I was so excited to use it because you know Koreans! Although they would probably just stack on fake eyelashes for a more convincing look. Anyways.

The packaging doesn't look professional at all. It actually looks like something a high school girl would use. Not that it's a bad thing. I just noticed. Oh it's also cheap. As I remember, 3000 won. So it's about 150 ish php. So maybe I shouldn't really complain about how it looks. The formula is more leaning to the wetter side thus it is kind of more difficult to set. If you have enough time though, you might be able to set it down before blinking and having an instant black eye in return.

One thing about me is that I don't have impressive eyelashes. EVEN FOR A TYPICAL SOUTH EAST ASIAN. Like, I am below the table.

curled lashes
Even if curled, you can barely seen them. I also find my lashes difficult to curl so as much as I don't want to, I kind of do the curling the wrong way and in such a way that there would be like 2 or 3 that will be detached from the roots. Sorry lashes

with the mascara on
As you may have noticed, my lashes became more noticeable which I think is a good thing. So yay! As from what I noticed, it doesn't give much length but it defo gives volume.

So yeah it's more of easy but really messy to apply and you have to hold your position like this for a while or else the product would go up your lids. Or maybe that's just me. So that's it guys! I don't hate the product at all. I will use it actually. Because it's from mom. Take care!

Japanese Drugstore Lippies

October 30, 2013 0
Japanese Drugstore Lippies

These are refills from the drugstore and for some reason, though I often buy these lipsticks as pasalubongs to my mom's friends (not my money), I haven't seen the actual packaging from these brands. And I actually don't care that much. I agree that these would be hard if you have like, millions of lipsticks and trying to determine which is which but if you're like me that actually doesn't have a lot, then I don't think it matters.

I can't read what the color is on the left so you be the judge when I saw you the swatch of the actual color but on the left side, it's orange something. KANJI IS DIFFICULT.

I actually like the idea of refills because for several reasons, first of all, it's cheaper. That's actually all. LOL. I don't know but it's just more practical and yeah. I think most women in Japan finish their lipsticks so they could have like the original container and then put their new tube or something.

I have only used this from the two and I love it. It's not so opaque so it's perfect for me. I don't know if you can appreciate the shimmers but that too is awesome! :D I don't usually like shimmers because I can somehow feel it but this one is like just right and yeah. Perf! This lipstick is under the MOISTURE lipstick and I don't really know for sure because I put a moisturizer before applying but it goes on quite well when I swatched it but I don't know if that's actually just the same as when applying on the lips.

The shape of Chifure lipstick is actually quite interesting because instead of just having one side flat, two sides are flat. Meh. LOL. Really though. I think that's brilliant because if you're in a hurry, you wouldn't find the right side of the tube anymore or something. Just do it!

I really like the Cezanne one! But give the picture another look and you would see than the application of the Chifure is kind of thinner than that of Cezanne so I'm assuming that it would give more precision and yeah. Also, the Chifure is kin of true to its color and although shimmery, it's opaque. So I might be able to just top that with a more pinkish balm or lipgloss of some sort. Anyways, that's my opinion and yeah. Have a nice day y'all!

I'd Like to Use a Lifeline | Camera 360 Sexy Lips

August 14, 2013 0
I'd Like to Use a Lifeline | Camera 360 Sexy Lips
Hola! I've told you guys about my plan of attack this August and to be honest, I feel kind of disappointed to myself. I don't know. It's just that I think I'm not trying hard enough to follow my schedule but anyways.

Unless you're Sandara, it doesn't look quite nice. Sorry. So recently, I've been seeing this type of photos and I'm not pissed or anything but I just don't understand it. I'm pretty sure they're all a fan of my best friend's orange lipstick obsession but then again it kind of looks weird for me. The first time I saw it right, I was like, okay maybe it's just that one. Forgiven, And that after a while, she posted a batch of pictures, placed in an album, with all that sort or orange lips happening. Orange lips is fine. But then when it's kind of fake looking already that even the background is kind of discolored, nah. And then after some time, I saw another friend on Facebook who posted the same thing and I was like, this is too much.

Okay then I asked my sister about it because it's quite destructing me already, she said it's a filter and the app is called Camera 360 so as a form of social experiment, I would like to show you this.
You see why it's destructing? It's because it's not only that lips that are discolored but like quite a lot of things. Now I don't know why but the filter is called SEXY LIPS because it's not only the lips that is affected and it's not actually sexy. It should be named as something like Annoying Orange or things like that. No offense to the people who like the color orange though. And no offense to the people who actually like to use this filter. I'm probably the only one confused by this but whatever. And what will you do when you're confused? Do it again!

And I still didn't like it. It made my eyes kind of orange-y and I look like a sick person here. Seriously though, I would be really scared if I would see someone with those kind of eyes you know.

You know what's more confusing? It's confusing why I'm confused by this. I mean, why do I care? I have a lot of things to memorize and understand for the board exam and here I am, explaining to you guys my observation. LOL. Anyways that's just about it. I hope you guys are having a good break or something like that. I'll see you soon again! :)

Maybelline BB Stick First Impressions

July 30, 2013 0
Maybelline BB Stick First Impressions

Hi guys! I feel like it's been quite a while since I bought something for my face so awhile ago, I did. Okay so what happened was I think it was last Monday, I saw this but they didn't have it in my shade. Okay basically, they only have two shades there so that's not very good because I feel like I'm in the middle but since they only have somehow the light and the dark, I chose the lighter shade. Lightest shade if you may. Ha! Better safe than sorreh. Actually, I have a problem with this color matching thing because I have a weird skin and for some reason, I can't find my match. Uuuyy kunwari sa skin lang. Hahaha

I believe the middle shade is called Natural and the darkest I think is called Radiance. The Natural sounds so appealing, yeah? Anyhows. Oh by the way the reason I haven't bought new face product until now is because my skin is like bishing so I'm really trying my best to give it a break but since this thing promises a lot of things, I think it might do it good somehow. Read what it says at the back below.
Clear Smooth BB Stick is a multi-benefit product that combines the benefits of skincare, make-up, and sun block in a stick. It contains salicylic acid that helps clear away pores and imperfections, and mineral clay that helps control shine all day.

As you can see, that's like the color difference but then again don't be ridiculous! I didn't actually blend it or anything. I wonder why I didn't though. Let's not talk about that.

THE APPLICATION
It's kind of funny how there is an instruction at the back. I probably applied quite more than what I should but then again that's life.

I'M TERRIBLE AT  BLENDING LOL
As far as the application goes, it's quite easy to apply but since it's not like in liquid form, be cautious because it can dry up a little and it would be harder to blend. Verdict? Mmm...I don't know how I feel about it yet but then I think it does its job. Probably not for this shade but I think it can be a full coverage BB product. As you can see from the after photo, with two layer on, the pimple scars are still quite obvious and since I got the lightest shade, I don't think I could go out with another layer of that because I would probably look like a White Lady of some sort and we don't want that to happen! Also, it's gonna consume a lot of product so what I would do is that I would probably just conceal them or something. Oh I hope that the mineral clay works because you know, I'm an oily mess! Anyway, that's my first impression. I hope it somehow helped you or nah I don't think so. LOL. Have a good day, y'all!
